I would like to more carefully monitor my caloric moving forward after being dissatisfied with the results of a recent cut. I'm aware that valuable apps like myfitnesspal exist and have some of them on my phone. However, since I don't prepare my own food and am eating out of a dining hall I am often unsure of the precise serving size of some of the dishes and am concerned about this undermining the accuracy of my estimates. Does anyone here have experience with this and what would be a good way to get better information?
