Why do people deny the red pill so much?

Earlier today I was watching Kanye West's Gold Digger on youtube when I came across a comment talking about hypergamy. In the replies to that comment Someone said " Hypergamy isn't a real thing, Toddle back to whatever red pill cesspit spawned you." This really surprised me because hypergamy isn't even something that Id consider controversial or even debatable, but here people are trying to deny it because "it a red pill thing." This got me wondering as to why so many people deny the red pill. I mean there is a whole sub here on reddit (blue pill) That has no other point but to make fun and disqualify the red pill. Not only that but whenever the sexual marketplace is brought up feminists seem to try and deny it with everything they have. Why are so many people denying the truths of the red pill, especially when they are so obvious?

TRP is uncomfortable because it puts all the burden of life on your shoulders and to accept it means to accept that you're a fucking failure that needs to improve. Not everyone wants to do that

[–]TheStumblingWolf113 points114 points  (7 children) | Copy

On the flipside it means that you have more power over your circumstances than you know which is immensely empowering. People just don't realize because their fragile little egoes are busy shifting blame to things they have no control over.

This. I would go insane if I genuinely believed that my actions didn't matter at all and my life was completely in other people's hands.

Hence the theory that women who fail to bond with a strong man (their "rock") go insane.

I think its a combination of this and the fear of finding out a lot of "the truths" we've been sold is just romanticized bullshit.

These two things must be absolutely horrifying to a lot of sheltered or entitled minds.

[–]_Anarchon_2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

That's on the male side. On the female side, it requires admitting that men and women aren't equal...and the newer crops of females are loath to do that.

[–]trp28287116 points117 points  (7 children) | Copy

Because people who talk about TRP outside of TRP are usually idiots, and they tend to spew bullshit which makes TRP look bad to outsiders. This causes people to think trp as a whole is dumb

Immature humans you mean. You've described a juvenile person, of any age.

Consider how we create and value shows that check off the boxes, art that appears to function for what we consider good promotion for pc culture or plainly skill over truth and nuance, music mostly for catchiness and appearances.

If you've been on Instagram you see day after day vain narcissistic posts under some false guise that get support for mental illness or because they're attractive, at some point its hard to tell the difference.

The point is this world was never meant to make much sense or ever really has. And in part why I regret trying to live life as a painter searching for real authentic substance. At the end of the day you have to do your best to store away defenses, money, and above all don't talk about things that may be true but may get you in trouble.

The Italian guy that discovered the stars was burned to death for blasphemy, imaging being that dude. Be happy your alive and remember most everyone loves Don Draper.

[–]vild3r5 points6 points  (2 children) | Copy

i do not agree to that cause truth needs to be spoken right and brought out in front of people. We are all slaves to our own illusions and perceptions of the world but truth prevail. And i guess thats the hard part.

Also feminism makes The Red Pill sound outrageous and offensive cause how plugged associate feminism with humanity.

[–]EdvardMunch 1 points [recovered]  (1 child) | Copy

Yeah but like Oscar Wilde said, "if you're gonna tell people the truth make them laugh otherwise they'll kill you." Maybe it should be spoken but it has to be the right person and context.

Feminism isn't completely wrong and society in past years has treated women like subordinates. The issue is mostly that crazy people and crazy women use its name to fuel insanity. It has now become a powerful tool to fuel hurting men, oppressing them as somehow this will create balance, and getting out of responsibility, etc.

I do think like all things this will backfire eventually. The hard part is women mostly don't like to stand out from the crowd but in the crowd. That means at some point some actually strong woman needs to propose intelligent and feel good ideas other women will rally behind. A better alternative to feminism as eventually it will loss its meaning as a word because its also right now impenetrable.

[–]vild3r0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Wow i totally agree with this 😁

[–]dickcomments0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

The Italian guy that discovered the stars

LOL. Love that statement.

For anyone wondering, he's referring to Giordano Bruno.

No, he didn't discover stars. He theorized other stars were suns just like ours.

He also theorized that the universe had no center.

Church didn't much care for him.

[–]addwater29 points30 points  (6 children) | Copy

Cognitive dissonance.

For them to actually and wholefully accept The Red Pill they would have to literally destroy their ego & understanding of their life / mission / purpose as they know it.

I remember it derailed me entirely for several months after discovering TRP philosophies.

[–]Shadowhunter476 points7 points  (0 children) | Copy

[–]Michael_Uchiha61 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

It's been nearly 2 years and I'm still putting together the pieces.

Discovered the Red Pill as a Sophomore in University and nearly failed out. Counselors/Parents thought I was depressed. Truthfully, killing the ego and confirming the feelings of how much of life was just appeasing societal BS made me nihilistic. Nothing mattered anymore; I just wanted to cruise through the rest of life without too much effort. It took nearly a year to realize that I can't just fade out of society, Thanos style. Life is a "Game" we've got to no choice but to play, no matter how rigged, merciless or illogical it is. But at least now I know the rules. I might as well make this the best damn game possible.

It's hard at first, and it occasionally still is. But I swear man, the grass already looks so much greener on this side.

I'll give my opinion as someone who, at one point, almost looked to red pill as a guiding force in my life. I now have stepped away quite a bit due to not being happy with the content if the main sub and the lack of new useful information. But that's besides the point. Here's my take.

The biggest issue most regular (blue pill as you would call them) people take with red pill is the degradation of women. You can say red pill doesn't degrade women all day long but it does. Literally one of the top posts on her says women should be the turd at the bottom of your toilet. Like wtf.

The second issue they take with red pill is the type of person they think is in here (which they are correct in a lot of cases). The guy who got his heart broke, is angry at the woman, and wants to take it out on all women as a whole by fucking them and never committing (using them). Call it what you will but this is how every day people view it.

The third and most important issue is the context of the word. Just like the word "femenism" puts a sour taste in your mouth, "Red pill" does the same thing to normal people. It has been demonized so much in the media that people have an incorrect view of what it's all about.

A side issue that is just one of the many smaller ideas that is hated is "AWALT". When this term was first used here it wasn't to say that all women are cheating lying whores that want to steal your money and make you into a little bitch. It was more of a safety net used to say that all women follow the basic rules of hypergamy. Even at that, people here still accepted that some women could fall outside AWALT but we should act as though none do just to protect ourselves. It didn't mean to treat them like shit but just to accept the possibility that it could all fall apart.

The main reason I distanced myself was due to the growing "hate" for women. Constant threads popping up that just demonized women for being what they are. One of the core tennants when I first joined was that while you will go through anger phase you shouldn't hate women for what they are. They can't help it and honestly they don't think about these things (hypergamy) because they are just biological to them. You should love women and love spending your time with them (the ones that are worth your time of course).

That's just my take. There are many more reasons that people hate the red pill but these are the main issues I could see.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Blue pillers want you to think taking your wife and her boyfriend out for drinks is normal. It isn't. What is normal is a woman getting all wet when she tours the gym at her local fire department. Here, men still work. Actual work. What do blue pillers show their wife and boyfriend? A nice cubical? My perfectly trimmed beard and parted hair? Yes, that's all they have to offer. Women drool over the fireman. This hurts the cubical man's feels. It's a hard pill to swallow.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

I hear that. While I absolutely do not regret going more red pill, I do admit that it's also very easy for red pillers to get genuinely misogynistic a bit. Hell, even I almost did, it was a weird red pill rage that wasn't overt. What took me out of it was reading Marcus Aurelius' "Meditations" and watching a video where the content creator, who will be unnamed, had suggested that the solution to gynocentrism is taking women's rights away, which goes completely against my beliefs and principles.

Red pill knowledge is certainly enlightening, but too much of it will easily create consequences.

Here's the meta-level answer:

Since the 1960's, the elites have been using their monopoly on media to subvert Western culture. This takes the form of undermining marriage, promoting Feminism, stoking racial hatred, promoting degenerate sexual behavior, and all that shit.

At the same time, that whole shit-pill is contained within a sugary capsule of social justice, which gives people very high doses of self-righteousness, wrathful anger, and a feeling of group acceptance.

Basically, your average SJW is addicted to those emotions, and have become unwitting footsoldiers for a hostile force -- kind of like when those ants get infected by the fungus that causes them to climb up a flower and get eaten by a bird, to continue the fungus' life-cycle.

Like, I have to hand it to the elites -- they executed this brilliantly. They created a mind-virus that infects nice people and causes them to participate in subversion of the West, all the while feeling like they're on a righteous moral crusade.

[–]gregoire_5 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy

First problem was going to YouTube comments for reasonable conversation. You’re looking in the wrong place. Crazies deny it so that they can create their own reality to live in. Normal people will agree it as long as you’re tactful and don’t use robot terms like sexual marketplace value.

[–]justfortingles4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy

I think it is also worth considering that many of the red pillers who are most vocal online are the newly red pilled who haven't completely shed their "betaness" and are still in the rage phase or haven't been able to fully embody the theory.

Inauthenticity is off putting. Even blue pillers can sniff out a fake.

The most authentically alpha men I know wouldn't be caught dead on a subreddit or in the comments section of youtube. They are just naturally confident, charismatic, successful, powerful, and out living their awesome lives. The newly redpilled just aren't there yet.

NB. This is not meant to discredit trp and the necessary transitional phases one must go through. Fake it until you make it is real and I cheer on all men on here who are working to improve themselves. Society needs more men like you.

front door and trp28287 (notice how this username is probably a second account since Reddit have been tracking users here and TRP via a blacklist and have reportedly, from many trp users, restricted access to the sub on an account level) are right.

But another thing that so many people forget is: Neo CHOSE to take the red pill, he was never forced to, he searched for enlightenment and not vice versa. So when random people stumble upon this (especially women) what are the chances they would accept this knowledge which challenges everything they know about relationships and female nature (most women aren’t even aware of their own nature so you have to empathise a bit that for them it will be incredibly shocking... even more so than when every single male trp user first found out about this). I’ll tell you -same chances as Morpheus going up to random people and offering each of them the red pill.

“You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inured, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it” . This is why so many men would refuse this ideology even though it would serve them otherwise (there’s another subreddit literally called the blue pill that mocks this subreddit, albeit they are very small). The ethics of this subreddit can sometimes be questioned, but the results can not.

The very minds of the people we are trying to save. But until we do, these people are still a part of that system and that makes them our enemy. You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inured, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it. ~ Morpheus

Women like to pass this image of purity and Blue Pill cucks go along with it because they want to get in their pants and because they hate masculine men. They want to be women's little sidekicks, that's why they are usually feminists. They are the male equivalent of a tradtoth.

Ego and self defense. People don’t want to admit these realties to themselves. So they have to deny it. You’ll notice the bulk of the people who are actively against red pill concepts are also those who would be considered social failures. They are usually ugly, weird, and going nowhere in life. I’m sure there are exceptions but by and large most people agree with red pill, it’s just the losers who hate it because it exposes their flaws.

[–]Lambdal70 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Because comments here are very often not the truth, but a very hyperbole and radicalized version of the truth, “swallow the pill completely”, AWALT etc

That’s why you see so many comments here how to take the teachings here with a grain of salt.

Why is that? Because most readers here are still in the anger phase and only very few have made it out of it.

[–]emein0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

It's not what you say but how you say it. The red pill is respected about as much as a social justice warrior. Sounds like a collection of young people doing something moderately risque and doing it loudly. Take out the womanizing and the red pill leaves you with instructions on how to be man. Otherwise it just sounds like hook up advice from teenagers and 20 somethings.

[–]LordMarkStark0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Well marrying up, trading up, and branch swinging have always been a thing, maybe more prevalent in these times. But to some the degree or intensity of it isnt a big thing on their radar.

They probably agree with those things but not the depth of the concept. Not everyone wants to cheat or trade up, etc. It is human nature. But obviously that person either doesn't give it much credence, thought, or think it's an over blown concept.

Sometimes when you read things someone may seem to apply too much onus or too little depending on your view. But to dismiss it out of hand is simply wrong as well.

The red pill some people use as a crutch and become very cynical. He's probably not fond of that anger element. But aside the cynicism, why should someone simply stay with another.

Rather than a concept it's more accepted to say it coloquially, because it can be weird from the outside looking in. And others again don't need fundamental concept analysis to get by in their life. Personally I believe the concepts yes but they are clung to by newbies because they have no other reference.

It's not a big deal. Like gravity you appreciate it and move on. At the end of the day women in general want different types of men. Going full bore into the red pill could end up limiting you in a sense or narrow your appreciation of life.

[–]Classy_Amir0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

"because it's society's fault". They're not in shape? IT'S THE SOCIETY! Girls don't even notice them? It's society's fault. They dress poorly? Same story. People live in a fantasy they cling to. When the red pill eliminates all emotions and states cold hearted facts, people go into denial. This is very beautifully explained in The Rational Male. In my opinion, the truth isn't "out there". The truth is here. Right within us. The truth is we were/are failures. Not many people like that. People like to think they matter, that they can change the world. But the red pill destroys this fantasy and they take it as a personal attack, hence they go into denial. So there you have it. They're easily offended.

[–]AndyZ880 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Because the red pill is just another illusory belief system.

The nature of mind is such that whatever your narrative is, it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.
