Let's be real here folks, all his shit isn't coming from the $200 he gets every month.
He's probably got multiple income streams. I'm guessing, in order of importance:
Drug sales
Donations from sluts
Band gigs

Yeah, if he's a half decent surfer he might be picking up some cold cash from local sponsorships, who knows.
The interview has definitely been massaged by Fox to try and show him in the worst possible light and stir people up without having them stop to realize that the SYSTEM is the problem.

Yup. It's a classic case of "Don't hate the player, hate the game".

But we also realize that every dollar we give to people who should be fending for themselves, is one less dollar we can use for.....other purposes...<
God, who writes this tripe? I suppose when Bret Baier says "other purposes," he means (for example) the billions in royalties and subsidies paid to the highly profitable oil/gas industry, which could be used to feed EVERYONE. Or the farm subsidies paid to highly profitable agri-business conglomerates. Or the F-22 program. Or the holy grail of golden taps "Top Secret America" http://projects.washingtonpost.com/top-secret-america/articles/a-hidden-world-growing-beyond-control/
In reality Jason Greenslate is a mosquito among whales.
I would ask "Qui bono?" Who really benefits by setting up Jason Greenslate as a scapegoat?

That's not the point. Multiply this asshole by millions, and we who work for livings and pay taxes to an increasingly matriarchal communist state—rife with handouts and set-asides for women, minorities, the irresponsible—have a right to be pissed.
It's easy to live the life of an alpha leech—look at the blacks in the inner-city. It's not so easy to press your shirt and be on the way to the office every weekday morning at 6:30.

I own businesses. I have a house and money to spare. This guy somehow has a better life than me. He should have his own chapter in Men on Strike.
How the fuck can society expect men to contribute properly when it's set up to reward the kind of choices this guy makes?
[–]Lungri 7 points8 points9 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Hence why libertarianism is gaining a hold among the young. They see hard work being punished and the holdover commie welfare state of the 1960s and 70s feminist lobbying rewarding those who are not performing equal work.

Good point, this is in play too. You just know he's railing through young hot late teens and 20somethings who in 10-15 years will find their beta chump to foot their bills and pay for the kids they'll have from guys like the one in the video.

This mother fucker is the poster-child of MGTOW as far as I'm concerned. Don't get me wrong, I hate that he's basically gaming the system and it's the rest of us footing the bill for his ass, but Heartiste is spot on about this guy having a better life than probably most of us here, especially when it comes to women. Dude's in a band, has the perception at least of upward mobility (they're signed), and lives life by his own rules more or less.
And as much as it pains me to say this, I think more guys SHOULD follow his lead and use the system to their advantage like that. It's the quickest way to see it crash and burn, by men using the welfare state for their own wants and needs instead of being the ones proping it up for a change. What's good for the goose and all th at.

I would not trust fox news heavily edited interview , of course its in foxs news interest to make ratlife look like jobless liberal welfare king and Obama is helping these welfare rats . I think Ratlife did the interview just to promote his band and had zero idea that fox news will make him look like ungrateful cunt .

The dozens of explicit questions about using foodstamps, saying thankyou to the taxpayer and going shopping with him using foodstamps didn't give him any idea?

If I was naive enough to think that the big government bubble wouldn't pop before my lifetime is over, I'd be right there with him.
I'm just not that naive. And I don't want to leave myself high and dry for when the bubble does burst.

I feel the same way, although I'm a lot older and being my age and if I were unemployed or whatever wouldn't be seen the same way. There's an expectation that by a certain point guys should be reaping the rewards of that potential women saw in them back when they were in their early/mid 20s.

Suddenly, it's about going from a landlocked european country working a 40-hour week to California doing nothing. TRP, how do I do it? (to qualify for a band, I think of myself as a good egg-cutter or dental floss player)

Fuck, is food in usa really that cheap?
[–]Afroemo6 points 10 years ago* [recovered] (6 children) | Copy Link
Lobsters in here cost 150 euro and sodas cost 4-5 euro . Americans enjoy cheap food and gas . I really should consider buying apartment in Florida , getting tired of Finland .
The irony is that it's becoming horrifically expensive to the average american.

And the taxes in the States are FAR lower than Scandinavian countries. If you make $50,000 a year, you only have to pay $8,536 in federal income taxes, that's about 1/6 of your income. (Source) The rest of the money is yours.
[–]iseeyou1312 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Well not really, as about 33% of all consumption is used to pay for passed on taxes (if you buy a $1 can of soda, 33 cents of that are taxes and 67 cents is the actual product) although that figure is much higher in Europe as well. And then there is inflation, which is another massive tax.
[–]t21spectre 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
So do you not have an income tax then? Sales tax in my state is 9.5%, but necessities like food are not taxed, even candy and soda, but they want to change that and I agree.
[–]iseeyou1312 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link
No, income taxes are mostly paid by the consumer, not the employee or employer, although it depends on the labour market. Usually a 10% tax on labour results in a proportional increase in the price of the product. In low skilled labour fields, wages are unlikely to increase to compensate for the changes, which is one of many reasoins why the welfare state has crippled the lower working classes. Corporate taxes are almost always passed on to the consumer, and so are sales taxes. It's an economic concept called the tax wedge. For a comparison, most European nations have a tax wedge over 70% (30% of the purchase goes towards the product, and the remaining 70% is to pay for passed on taxes, in Belgium that figure is 90%).
[–]t21spectre 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
That kinds of tax system can have very negative long term effects. It deters people from buying goods and services because of the high cost resulting from the tax. As a result, less purchases are made, less revenue is generated by businesses, which in turn fewer people are employed by the business or the people paid lower wages, resulting in fewer people having high enough disposable incomes to purchase said goods and services, and the cycle continues downward.
I'm assuming this is a consumption tax levied on goods and services purchased.

So the red pill is supposed to be some code of honor now? The red pill is about getting laid on your terms, that's it, don't try to assign your own values to it.
And this is the top comment, seriously people, get your shit together.

A sociopath...or a woman.
Sounds dark triadish to me, which is a fantastic way to have short term success with women.

Gets others to pay for his meals and feels no shame nor responsibility for it. Who does that sound like?
An alpha male.
[–]nillotampoco 3 points4 points5 points 10 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link
If that's alpha count me out, I'd rather work my ass off to retain my dignity.
[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link
Alpha is just a mindset. No one is saying the only way to be an alpha is to be just like him, but it's bluepill to still not recognize it.
[–]nillotampoco -1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link
Sure any beta can work a job. Can betas get people to subsidize his lifestyle for free? No. It takes a certain kind of person. Does he have an unapologetic alpha mindset? It appears so. Is his lifestyle alpha? Hell no. I say to be alpha you've gotta have both the mindset and the lifestyle. Having just one or the other puts you into a different class. Alpha is not just a mindset.
[–]RedSunBlue 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Do not conflate "ideal" with "alpha".
In the parlance of this sub:
Alpha = I want this guy's sperm in my eggs right now.
Beta = I want to keep this guy around because he can provide for me.
[–]nillotampoco 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Surely I'm conflating the two, I recieved the notion that alpha was more than you're and others are describing, alpha shouldn't hold a positive connotation then, it's alpha/beta should simply be used to denote how women react towards a man.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
Is his lifestyle alpha? Hell no. I say to be alpha you've gotta have both the mindset and the lifestyle.
He get's other people to pay for his food. He's probably banging tons of hot broads and in general does whatever the fuck he wants. That's a pretty fucking alpha lifestyle. You're projecting an ideal that an alpha literally has to mean "leader of men". That's just false, anyone who exhibits alpha personality traits is an alpha male because women can't tell the difference. That's why you'll hear guys on here claim that some murders and drugs dealers and a lot of other scum (like this guy) are alphas. They exhibit dark triad traits which we all know gets women's panties wet. You don't have to like it, you just have to accept it.
[–]nillotampoco -1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Successful drug dealers have to be pretty alpha, you definitely have to have some backbone to hustle. You know how much backbone you have to have to mooch? None.
"Anyone who exhibits alpha personality traits is an alpha male because women can't tell the difference."
Wrong, so fucking wrong. You've still got the mindset that women decide which men are more valuable or not. Certainly they decide which men are more valuable for themselves personally, women often live in complete fairy tales the notion that they can make objective decisions for the rest of us to use as a guide is goofy.
[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
You know how much backbone you have to have to mooch? None.
Maybe not backbone, but shamelessness? Yes. That's an alpha characteristic.
None of this makes any sense.
[–]nillotampoco -1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
You're suggesting that women decide who is alpha or not. Ridiculous.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link
Depending on your definition of "decide", of course they do. They follow the almighty power of gina tingles to let them know who's an alpha that they should fuck. Anyone who shows alpha traits is going to get the tingles going, it doesn't matter who you are.
[–]iseeyou1312 -1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
The ultimate alpha male is the government, and they don't produce a single thing, but rob the betas at gunpoint and give most of it to the wimmynz.
