I was reading a book called The Six Pillars of Self-Esteem. In it, it states that oftentimes in relationships the two people are almost always of similar levels of self-confidence/self-esteem. Which makes me wonder, if one has lower self-confidence/self-esteem than the girl, it basically won't work out. That these levels of confidence and esteem have to be on par with both people. I'd imagine that the guy could have a little higher self-confidence/self-esteem than the woman, but the man could never get away with having lower self-confidence/self-esteem than her.

This seems like a damn good reason to boost self-confidence/self-esteem up. Hasn't always been easy for me because I am quite critical and have high expectations.

Do you guys think is generally true, that people are mostly going to date people within small deviations of their esteem and confidence level?
