I've been in that kind of situation. Socially fits the "main GF" position well but overweight and not improving it. Hard to break up because she doesn't do anything wrong in her behavior toward you and is better company than all the hotter but not LTR-worthy plate material you're actively fucking on the side.

There are alternatives to breaking up entirely. Dread your way to a one sided open relationship if that's what you want. Raise your price for staying together with you. Reassign her in your sexual hierarchy.

I do NOT recommend straight up cheating on her until she finds out by surprise. This route has the lowest upfront costs, by postponing and concentrating the consequences to an unpredictable point in the future, at which time it will play out as the worst possible end to your relationship.

As they all said, you should break up with her. TRP or not, I really disapprove cheating/lying.

But if you still want to give her a chance, be clear enough : give her a deadline (« you must lose X pounds/kilos by the end of X month or it’s over »). If she fails, break up, next. If she makes it, give her a second objective and deadline. Etc etc

I know it can be really hard to lose weight, especially if you having a stressful job. I’ve been working in a Big4 company for 3 years now, and I gained 2kg each fucking busy season (went from 52 to 58kg, for 164cm) and I got a bit flabby due to lack of sport. Each summer I have CPA exams (3 exams in my country, hopefully this summer will be the last one), it’s hard.. Losing weight is not my priority, even if I hate how my body has changed. My boyfriend understands that, he’s a doctor and also has a very demanding job.

But, if my King would tell me « lose weight or it’s over », I’ll drop everything else and move my ass to get a Victoria’s angel body.

I don’t not your/her exact situation, but you should know that most people cannot fight all battles at the same time.
