Is this the sweetest feeling in the world?

I recently achieved a goal I have been working towards for years and I feel like I am on top of the world. Despite being discouraged, wanting to give up on many occasions, and the numerous setbacks, I finally reached it. The early mornings, late nights and the tears are finally showing their worth. This feeling of success is one that no woman can replicate. The Red Pill has been a source of encouragement and hard truths that I needed about not just women, but life for me over the past year. So I want to say thank you to all you guys that contribute to this sub and guide men like me towards success in all facets of life. The more difficult the journey the sweeter the reward. Thanks for all you have done for me.

So, congratulations on your success at...whatever it was.

A couple of things to bear in mind:

  1. Do not become complacent. Depending on the nature of the thing, "success" may not be a permanent condition, but rather something that needs to be maintained.

  2. There is an old gypsy curse along the lines of "May you get everything you ever wanted." Life is about the journey, not the destination (because: graveyard). Be on the lookout for the next mountain to climb.

I wish I've read this a few years ago.

This is spot on. While I was being successful, the momentary happiness blind sided me at every achievement. While I could have been better at a specific thing, my restraints and discpline did not hold and it slipped. In retrospect I could have done more because I was already thinking it. But, I fell to that "just this time" and comfort zone.

Thanks for the reminder, have to keep at it, but enjoy at the same time.

That sounded so sarcastic lol

It wasn't particularly meant to be, but it's not like the OP told us what it was. If you are a GoT fan and you remember Sam saying, "And Bran has ... whatever Bran has", you can think of it like that.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

Yeah I'm curious what this success was too. Without any explanation from OP I'm going to assume it was a troll.

Refreshing to see somebody who doesn’t put the pussy on the pedestal and is better for it.

Congrats friend

great to hear, mind giving us a tiny bit of details as to what you succeeded at and how exactly RP helped? XD

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Don't bother, it's a troll.

Don‘t use „xd“.

As Vasiliy said, with every rung on the ladder and every level you reach, there comes a new set of challenges.

You've gathered some evidence that you can hit long-term goals. That's great. Now set more and keep striving. Never stop. Keep building value.

Reading this made me remember that I actually accomplished a freakin lot of things in the span of 2 years.

Thanks for the reminder. Uncle Vassy said to not get complacent but sometimes I think we should really look at ourselves with kindness. Being kind with myself is something I don't really know how to do, but it feels great when I experience it.

good for you.

I remember reading Ayn Rand as a kid, like early as a child the first time, no idea where I got Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged as a middle schooler. I didn't get all of it on the first reading. One thing that did stick was the theme that those who despise high status (wealth, 'power', ability, etc) didn't earn it. And those that truly earned it, clawed their way up, sacrificed, failed and pushed and persevered not only weren't disgusted by "success" but were deeply moved when they achieved it and admired and respected others that had done so as well, regardless of the specific realm/specialty/type of 'success of the other party.

Striving and accomplishing should be revered. It should be idealized. It should be ones goal. And if the effort is great the reward and self fulfillment will be great as well.

Such incredible books. Getting shivers thinking about them

this is great. I was thinking on writing a similar post, but I haven't got any questions in this regards so I didn't. This community is life changing. Although I've been thu a personal hell, I am in a way better place than I was a year ago. Keep grinding

[–]Haytch12341 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Well done mate.

Self-fulfillment is indeed the best feeling in the world, its hard to strive for it now a days since most people love the quick-fix and cant stand suffering.

You thank us as much as we thank you , your success will inspire.

[–]RPthrowaway1230 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Congratulations on your success! I would say take a moment to savor it, then get back after the next challenge. It's important to take that moment though - I think too many people never acknowledge their own success, which makes the grind feel longer and less successful when the reality is that you're achieving things and growing!

Goals over girls

[–]red_matrix0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

[–]Rimefang0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

You do you. Never give up. Be safe. 👍

Good job and congratulations, I don’t see how you say women can not replicate it.

Definitely women that just slut around and chase dopamine highs cannot achieve it, however, women that put in hard work and work towards being a doctor lets say, can feel it too. Lol?

[–]savageinthebox3 points4 points  (2 children) | Copy

I think OP meant that MEN can’t replicate that feeling by FUCKING women, not that women were incapable of feeling that type of satisfaction.

[–]jamesbond81812 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

If that is what he means, then I agree with him 1000%.

[–]quercusp0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

No, you missed the point. For a woman it is so self-evident and natural that she can have a man who appreciates her physically. That's why she is incapable of replicating that type of satisfaction he feels when he finally reaches it after years of countless rejections. The wording of OP is perfect.

[–]BPasFuck-2 points-1 points  (0 children) | Copy

No. They can't. Because girls are icky.

[–]SupremeBBC-1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy

Man, there is no woman that will give you the satisfaction that your own achievements will. Only when I learned that through experience did I truly feel like I was on the right path as a man.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
