If you do not class talking to women as "performing a clown act" this probably does not apply to you.

Someone else on this sub started a thread regarding acting like a clown. I'm actually unsure what he means. I have also heard this mentioned elsewhere before and again I'm not sure what it means.

I know it relates to PUA and some of the PUA advice out there. I'm going to make the assumption that this is what it is referring to. One of my old wingmen (who actually helped improve my game a shit ton) used to refer to the old Mystery Method "Flash Game" when he spoke about behaving like a clown. I can sort of see his point, best friends test, lying game, C vs U and all that stuff, yes it can seem a bit clownish and a bit of unnatural state building (when executed properly, it does pump a targets state and the other members of the set will want a go, and start screaming and shouting and stuff). However the point of "Flash Game" as never to pull the girl, it was to pump their state and get them into that state so other people in the venue notice you and this then creates a status in the social matrix of the venue, it gets you noticed. You then move on to other sets. Maybe use the set you performed flash game on as a pawn.

This style of game is the only example of what I can possibly potentially view as being a "clown" or "dancing monkey" and most people who I have heard use these phrases don't even understand its purpose (I spoke to Mystery himself regarding this and he explained also Matador covers it in one of the very early video sets that he did).

So anyway PUA Mystery Method aside, what the f**k do people mean when they say acting like a clown or being a dancing monkey.

People of PPD, please explain.
