The recent survey about the increase of undersexed young Americans rekindled the debate on the crisis of masculinity, specifically the lack of sex and romance. After reading a few articles from leftist outlets I came to the conclusion that the left is totally unequipped to deal with it.

The only suggestion they have for young men is to cry more to get rid of their toxic masculinity. Will this increase their chances of getting female companionship? Not even leftists seem to believe it as they seldom mention it.

They also don't dare challenging the assumption that female standards are anything but legitimate and natural. I couldn't find any article inviting women to lower their expectations when it comes to variables like income or height.

They rather blame men for being bumbling and childish idiots with a Peter Pan complex and incapable of putting up with the rightful standards of women.

Then we have the predictable onslaught of articles calling out the danger of incels and bitter men populating the darkest corners of the internet, harbouring resentment and misogyny under the influence of alt-right thinkers like Jordan Peterson or Pewdiepie, implicitly asking for more censorship.

The thing is that the left invested in identity politics which means the advocacy of women and minorities. They can't change their political strategy right away and start catering to men. If you allow me this musical analogy: it's like Bon Jovi releasing a hair metal record at the height of the grunge era when his style and music were ridicolously outdated. He can't afford to change his looks and sound in the middle of the promotional tour so he sticks with it hoping for the less worst case scenario and planning a potential change of direction for a more distant future.
