Women have made it perfectly clear that they don't want men commenting on gender issues. They want men groveling in apology.

No male writer in his right mind will want to stir the hornet's nest because god knows who will turn his article into a social media lynch mob. Then no publication will want to touch him, fearing liability.

Anyone who actually thought the feminist left was interested in moderation, or a reasonable line, or "a discussion," was at best an idiot, and at worst a self-loathing man willing (or perhaps even enthusiastic) about throwing their gender under the bus (it's "women are wonderful," after all, not "men are wonderful").

It's been patently obvious from the get-go that the endgame of feminism is to make men second-class citizens. Suddenly, when we get clear evidence of female privilege, women be all "can we just not talk about this? it's so inconvenient and everywhere". Having trouble imagining how that might be received coming from a dude on the subject, if women were pressing for a "discussion."
