So "The Red Pill" movie is debuting soon. Was there any input from TRP mods or endorsed members?

This isn't about our TRP, it's more about MRAs.

Paul Elam of A Voice For Men used to talk about taking the red pill in his videos and spoke of men waking up to the risks marriage and kids pose to men in our current legal climate. That, the hyperbole and strong language used by MRAs to get the media's attention about men's issues, and some flavor of MGTOW is what this documentary is about.

My guess as to the flow of the film will be how she was a staunch feminist and thought these guys were man-children whiners, but then as she begins to listen to them it turns out they make sense wrt double standards and such. In the end she'll probably present herself as having become a much more moderate feminist, or perhaps scraps that identity entirely switching over to being egalitarian.

She may even capstone the video with how radical and vitriolic the left has become after her experiencing severe backlash and yellow journalism by leftist media when she did her Kickstarter campaign a while back.

I contacted her about contributing on behalf of TRP. Last October. She got all the footage she wanted of fat fuck MRAs crying to her, and her being a sympathetic mommy. That's the angle she wanted to go with.

She didn't want hardliners dropping truth bombs and flexing biceps.

You know how sometimes a woman shows up at The Red Pill and a bunch of loser guys start spewing out long-winded comments explaining everything to her and rationalizing and justifying and trying to make her understand? And she just says the occasional one-line response that's not entirely negative, so the guys go on with even longer diatribes? That's, essentially, failing an internet shit test.

Well, this movie is like that. Some woman showed up and told some fatass loser MRA wackos, "I want to make a sympathetic movie about your cause", and they nearly fell over themselves to be first in line to whine the loudest and cry on camera to please this girl.

It's a hit-piece disguised as an even-handed documentary. The MRAs do a good enough job of debasing themselves. All you have to do to discredit the manosphere is show crazy-eyed, bearded, fatass losers whining and ranting about shit and crying on camera, then say, "This is the Men's Rights Movement." and you don't even need to debate or combat the issue. The MRAs debased themselves for you.

From the trailer it seems to be a good documentation.

The title seems to be misleading, though: The Red Pill for me means unlearning indoctrination and self improvement, the movie is about how society throws men under the bus and no one cares.

Generating awareness of men's challenges in a feminist culture is a noble goal, even without a discussion about dating, hypergamy, and female sexual behavior.

I look at it as a step (albeit a small one) in the right direction.

The truth is difficult to accept - that there is inherent differences between men and women.

You have to remember, if you have been following Wikileaks at all - you'll notice that there exists a vast amount of financial resources out there pushing concepts of androgyny, trying to supplant traditional male-female gender roles/identities with alternative ones. To us the reason seems obvious - to destroy family support systems and replace them with dysfunction, weakening the general population.

On one hand the movie is progress because it dares to defy the concept that all women are victims of this phantom entity called The Patriarchy.

On the other hand, as GLO points out elsewhere in the thread, it's pretty misandrist in that it continues to show men as weak - like we need to hide behind the director's skirt while she fights for us because we can't do it ourselves.

Sympathy can be an effective societal device - it's worked very well for feminists, but remember at the top of the caustic shitpile of corruption driving society are men picking and choosing what gets play on their platforms. So the power of the woman in society is an illusion. Without men operating from the shadows pulling their marionette strings (via financing their advocacy movements) feminism would have been laughed out of the room long ago. Instead, now we have women going to HR claiming they are afraid because a man in their office dared to show wrongthink on social media.

We live an age were if someone (read:a woman) doesn't particularly care for you for whatever reason, they can stalk your social media accounts looking to dig up whatever dirt they can - and get you fired even if they've never had any personal interaction with you. They can harass you without consequence and you are considered the oppressor.

Many companies have adopted the dystopian standard of declaring any wrongthink at all - in any forum online anywhere - is grounds for firing. If any of us were to work for a company that has adopted this "code of conduct" our participation in this sub would be grounds for firing. Its Orwellian. Lets not forget though - if not for extremely powerful men these harpies would have no leverage whatsoever.

Think about it - colleges have a 39% male population rate. Now granted, colleges have become a sewer of Marxism and female enrollment growth is buoyed by the proliferation of nonsense degree offerings, but just who serves to benefit from preventing men from getting educated? From having strong families or a rich job market? Feminists are their pawns in this hegemonic game.

Me personally, I'm cautiously optimistic, but I think the jury's still out on where this movie will slide into the lexicon of propaganda out there that shits up society.

They appropriated the TRP label without being in any way RedPill. It's more MRA/beta-whining than anything else.

That said, it's going to shine a light on the manosphere at the very least.

I dont even know if its really TRP, as in its about the Mens rights movement which is talked about under the TRP banner but its not the main focus or goal of TRP, still will be a good documentary to see and seems to be made well.
