I was talking to my sister the other day, and she was convinced that porn has caused a lot of men to find women with an overly slutty, and masculine look attractive. She noticed that growing up women would always rate girls with a girl next door look or more naturally cute or pretty look more highly then men would. While men would rate girls with a more artificial and sharper features more attractive. For example my sister used to post on this predominantly female fashion forum where most of the women would fawn over this model named Gemma Ward, all the girls thought she was epitome of beauty. However, my sister remembered a lot guys commenting that they found her alien looking, weird and ugly, which shocked her because all of the girls wanted to look like her.

She also noticed other examples of the difference of what men and women find attractive in women. For example, she remembers that most girls thought that Miranda Kerr because her baby faced and soft look was by far the prettiest Victoria Secret model, while all the guys thought Adriana Lima who had more sharper features and prominent cheekbone/chin was the most attractive. She also mentioned that a lot popular instagam models don't necessarily have pretty faces but over exaggerated female bodies like these Brazilian models. In fact she mentions that a lot of women seem to purposely be masculinizing their faces to be more attractive and adopting drag queen or transgender beauty aesthetics, they all want to look like an Angelina Jolie knock offs with prominent chins, high cheek bones, almond shaped eyes, and big lips. So many guys like this look in women to the point where just having a cute girl next door looks isn't enough anymore to be considered attractive by younger guys, a girl like Phoebe Cates for example who was a sex symbol in the 80s would be considered plain or just ok by todays standards.

I found my sisters anecdotal to be interesting, so to test her theory I took this picture and I asked a bunch of guys and girls around my age which one they found more attractive. I immediately saw a gender split, I would say 60-70% of the women found the girl on the left to be more attractive, and gave both girls a rating of eight on average. By contrasts 80-90% of guys found the girl on the right to be more attractive, and on average gave the girl on the left a rating of a 6-7, while giving girl on the right a rating of 8-9 on average. The difference was interesting and seemed to confirm my sisters theory.

I am curious of you guys think that pornography has pushed women to adopt this blow up doll, drag queen aesthetic and for men to find that look the most attractive, to the point that men don't appreciate naturally cute girls anymore the same way women do?
