I'm willing to accept that a lot of what gets said in TRP can seem kind of extreme for a lot of people. I get that. There are a lot of hurt, angry and bitter men in TRP, and a lot of them spew some pretty rancid bile at women in general. I personally think it's understandable. I think a lot of men have been fed a lie, and have been kicked around by women and society in general. I've even seen comments from some of the "vanguards" admitting that some of their past statements were said out of frustration and resentment.

So, in the RP framework, the "blue pill" is sort of the opposite extreme. The romcom fantasy land where all women are wonderful, caring, misunderstood and "complex", and (the proverbial "other") men are "all" just a bunch of knuckle-dragging jocks, except of course for our slightly awkward, but endearingly charming protagonist, Captain Save A Ho. And he's the "only one" who really "gets her". In TRP parlance, he's the Nice Guy.

The irony is, from what I've found, the majority of men not only fall in to the BP Nice Guy stereotype, but they all invariably think they're unique, and that the majority of "those other men" are all assholes. My opinion of this is that it's nothing more than navel-gazing narcissism; men trying to set themselves "apart" from a stereotype that is nothing more than an overblown boogieman: the "misogynistic asshole who just wants to use and abuse women".

Anyway, a bit of a rant, but I guess my question is in the title:

Can we at least all agree that a lot of men are boot-licking, groveling, pansies?
