Let's say we have a white man born into a wealthy family that ends up as a financial analyst at successful business and making a lot of money. Now let's say we have a black man who was born into a very poor family who is also working at the same business as a financial analyst and making a lot of money.

How much will the formerly poor black man be referred to as a "yuppie" or seen as being innately able to be in their position compared to the rich, white, male. Which do you think had to work harder without any other information than what I provided? Which one do you believe worked harder to be where they're at? Does one innately deserve one more praise than the other. If not, isn't the idea of white/rich privilege moot? If something is easier to obtain for one individual than the other just because of the role they were born into, does that not imply we should not give them the same praise as another who is born into a life of obtaining that same goal easily just by their circumstance?

I think it's obvious how this relates, but feel free to ask me to expand on my opinion.
