This is designed as a question for men because a) I expect very few women lift heavy weights, therefore they have no clue the amount of work that goes into building muscle b) women have been proven in studies to lie about finding muscular men attractive, so it's a complete waste of time to ask them this question.

Now we got that out the way, one of the main pieces of advice that The Red Pill gives guys is to join a gym and lift heavy weights, in order to become more attractive to women.

But in reality, what sort of a difference does this really make? There's a lot of posts on TRP where I see guys claiming that they lifted for 2-3 years and now they're getting stares from girls, people are saying what a great body they have, girls are giving them more attention, laughing at their jokes, making unsolicited comments about how great their body is etc.

I feel like most of these comments are simply LARPing/trolling. In the past, I lifted solidly for 2.5 years before stopping for a while. I did compound lifts, made sure I ate enough but didn't over-eat, got plenty of rest, I wore decent fitted clothes so the muscle was visible. But the amount of attention from women was barely noticeable (in fact, it was kind of non-existent). It was only my family who noticed my changes in physique when I saw them. Otherwise no one else cared. Currently I've been lifting for 7 months now (muscle memory is really helping here) but I'm expecting a similar thing to happen. Based on my own experience, lifting made no difference to the level of attention/attraction I received from women.

Equally, so many guys are on steroids now. Instagram is full of "fake natties" (guys on steroids who claim to be natural) that natural physiques don't look good anymore. You need steroids to have a body that really turns heads in my opinion. "Normies" (people in the general population who don't lift) think guys on steroids are natural and they think guys who are actually natural don't even lift.

Also genetics plays such a huge role. Poor muscle insertions make or break a good physique. A poor body type also ruins things. I've unfortunately got a stockier build, so lifting weights makes me look thick and stocky, rather than muscular and lean like a fitness model (I tried dieting down to low body fat but it made no difference). Women are herd animals and almost all of them prefer the fitness model look to the beefed up stocky look.

I've typed enough :P What is your experience with lifting? Does it make a difference or is the juice not worth the squeeze for the benefits it gives?
