Instead, how about you just remove low value/low effort content posts of all types, warn the offenders and then permaban those that don't take the hint. It would be more fair and look less bitchy/ranty.

I don't understand what the issue is. Fiction is based on people's perception of reality, and can therefore teach us a lot about people's thoughts on men and women, whether they are BP, RP, or somewhere in between. There's no reason that RP ideas can't be presented thoughtfully within a work of fiction.

I agree though, in the case of low-effort posts, if someone were to just post, "Man, I thought Frozen was so damn redpill. Discuss." then that is just a waste of everyone's time.

This seems a little unreasonable. Some of the most effective demonstrations of redpill behavior are demonstrated in fiction. One of the most effective ways to learn these concepts is to observe them, and media is an effective way to do this. House of Cards, for example, really demonstrates social dark triad behavior, and one of the most useful ways to explain this principle is to point to it. I wouldn't be so quick to permaban someone who uses media in order to demonstrate a point. Simply continue to delete low quality posts and everything should be fine.

I think a high level discussion -post analysing about X tv series, link to certain scenes, etc.- would be great but not sure if it'd belong to this sub. Maybe a new sub? Though strong moderation would be required to keep discussion in line. Otherwise we'd see somebody pointing that Barney the dinosaur was RP in Y and Z ways...

I'm saying a different sub since fiction, although it comes from a perception of the reality, should be separated from regular discussion about reality.

As an addendum, I would add that this material is fine . . . so long as it goes to sub dedicated specifically to TRP in Art. I believe there already is one, but it isn't widely publicized so people keep posting shit about "Hank Moody" and "Don Draper" in here. I do this can be an interesting subject, but it is not our main subject. I think it is enough to say that if you don't have a "real-life" strong, male role model in your life, you can learn a lot by aping and modeling fictional characters, which will do anyway, so long as you choose your role-models wisely. Hint: Don't model the emo guys from Blue Valentine and 500 Days of Summer. Do model James Bond.
