Never in my life have I read a book about the science of male sexual cycles. Would you want me to form opinions about you from reading some abstract study of men? IMO this is a backward way to learn about women and people in general. It's like learning what chocolate tastes like by reading about its chemical makeup. Just go out there and meet them and talk to them. And accept that no amount of research or preparation can prevent you from getting hurt sometimes. You just have to go out there and take risks and fall down and get back up.

One quote makes it seem like it's sort of biological for this to happen:
