Why do you need to get her alone in the first place? Are you too nervous/shy/embarrassed/whatever to communicate your thoughts in front of other people?

"What if they reject me?" is a question TOTALLY in their frame. So what if they reject you? Do you not have abundance yet? If you don't, you have no business getting worked up over asking out a girl in the first place.

Also, hone in on what /u/TheChristianAlpha and /u/RedPillWonder said - good stuff there. Just don't leave room for confusion or interpretation in how you ask or make it seem like a joke or any other type of self-defeating defense mechanism.

I would ask her out in front of everyone. Why?

It requires boldness. Women appreciate boldness.
She is going to be pleasantly surprised.
You risk getting shot down in front of your friends. That builds strength.
She can't later allege any misconduct. You have witnesses. (No, I don't trust any girl. Even a supposed "Christian girl".

But I would also already know what her response would be. Read body language and learn how a girl acts when she is attracted to you.

Have you ever heard of "negging"? Depending on the girl, a gentle neg here and there can really reveal her attraction to you. It will also set you apart from other guys, especially if she is a fairly hot chick, she won't be used to it.

I never spent a lot of time worrying about it. Finding a girl is a number's game. Every failure is a step closer to success. And I have a pretty hardened personality in that aspect - I don't mind a girl shooting me down. Her loss.

You: Take her by the arm* and lead her away from others as you say "Hey, let me borrow you for a sec..."

or "Walk with me, there's something I want to tell you."

Or any number of sentences that are simple, honest, forthright and commanding.

And when you two are away from the group, ask her to go somewhere with you on a given night, as u/TheChristianAlpha said in his reply.

Say "I'm going to "abc" Friday night. Come with me." and watch her reply.

Or a little more playful "You need to cancel any plans on Saturday. You and I are going to "xyz" activity. You up for it?"

You can keep it fun and lighthearted, or playful yet teasing, or simply straightforward and right to it.

Or don't bother trying to get her away from the group. Ask her in front of others. Either way, if you want her to go somewhere with you, ask!

*Don't grab her in a forceful way that jerks her around and don't barely or flimsily touch her so that your touch feels like a dead fish against her.

Just a gentle, yet firm touch that lets you lead her. She'll appreciate the assertive move and follow your lead.

You don’t have to do it in an isolated context, and you don’t even have to use the word “date” when you ask. You can simply ask “hey, want to grab dinner and a movie Friday night?”

Just pull her apart a few feet from her friends. That's all that's needed to make something private. If she hesitates, you'll have your answer immediately.
