Yep! Im a silver stacker when i can afford it. Bought a few years ago when it was half the price. Still plan to buy more. Ive got 1oz britainnas, aussie kookaburras, several others from the major mints such as eagles and maples. Back up the truck! So overall gents: stocks, silver and cash. Gold and bitcoin if you can afford it!

I see buying silver like buying the major etf's. Just buy and hold, it really doesn't matter what the price is doing now, long term holding it what you want to do.

And even though I wouldn't go out of my way to buy over priced collection coins, if you can get some at a reasonable price, such as the perth mint lunar series, I would consider getting those when they come out. As they tend to be the cheapest price they will ever be when they first come out, and along with the silver, you also get access to the collecters market.. It's just one more option if / when the time comes!

I had a pile of it, pissed it away when I split with my wife. I haven't followed the price up and downs lately. I might have to look at silver again, now that I'm in better financial shape.

Me. I managed to collect around 275 oz back when spot was around $17 an oz.

About 1 month ago, when silver was around $27 an oz I sold off 40 oz of .999 and about 50 oz of 90% "junk" silver to pay for vehicle repairs (which came at about $1400) and used the remainder to visit a brother of mine. I managed to double my initial investment. Plus after paying for the fixes I still had about $600 left over.

I do not have time to follow stocks, currencies or other assets.

So all I did in the last 20 years was, when money was available, I bought some PMs, threw them into a dark corner and be done with it.

If I may need it I will remember, if not somebody else will be lucky when he finds it.

Reason: I have some very old savings book from one of my ancestors, enough currency on it to buy a huge farm at that time.

Got completely worthless within months in WW-I

The thieves can keep their made up paper currencies, good for buying a burger but not for saving.

Just buy SLV or GDX... if you don't see it as an investment then there's literally no point to having physical.. besides paying some exorbitant percentage premium above spot price for the privilege.
