Lurker, first time poster here. I’m (32F) socially and politically liberal and consider myself a sensible (not radical) feminist but mainly a humanist. My fiancé and I are equal partners in everything, but our gender roles are pretty traditional, and we got like it that way. We are on opposite ends of the political spectrum and love challenging each other and debating in a healthy way. I’ve been spending some times in engagement subreddits since we’re planning on getting married in April. Someone linked a post in one of them from the Female Dating Strategy subreddit, and holy hell, what a cesspool. I’ve spent my lunch hour and evening the past 2 days doing a deep dive into the cringe. This toxic attitude of all men being pieces of shit and women being flawless kWeEeEeEnS who should be catered to every second is disgusting. I’ve never seen a more bitter, entitled group of people under the guise of “empowerment” in my life. It’s as bad as the MGOTW movement that think women are only there to be real-life sex dolls who should spend their lives serving them and being a baby factory. Good luck on ever finding a decent man with that attitude.
