I feel you. Same has happened to me. Read Models by Mark Manson he discusses this exact thing in his book and talks about how to have healthy relationships with emotionally healthier women. Remember, its going to take time to recover, you cant read the book once then magically expect it to change you overnight, itll take work, reflection and multiple thorough reads. I'm on my second read now since I first found this book 5 years ago and realising how much I fucked up in my last relationship. Anyone who teaches you how to play tricks with a girl do not ever listen to.

Sorry to hear that happened to you my dude. But on the bright side, now that you know how toxic that mindset is you can start detoxing yourself and learn how to function as a regular human being again :)

Hey man, I found myself in your position at some point in time and I have since learned one important detail: The red pill teaches you how to play the game, and yes, as long as you are taking part in the game everything is power dynamic and manipulation and competition, but you can exist outside of that game. Once you learn to be more at peace with yourself and not seeking power/status/vagina all the time, you can learn to be good to people. Once you stop acting and thinking so selfishly and you direct your energy towards the people around you, you'll be surprised and how awesome people can be. I cannot stress this enough, the people you attract are a reflection of you.

If you're truly having huge obstacles with friends and family I would suggest just trying to be included, but then taking a huge backseat; smile and be pleasant but don't attempt to start new topics of conversation, don't derail, just be a "good follower" (which is a useful skill by the way! Every good platoon leader also needs to know when to take orders from the general and relay them to the troops. And good troops need to follow orders intelligently and cooperatively.)

I have a father in law who is basically Hank Hill from King of the Hill except less kind-hearted and more brash. But like Hank he's slowly learning how to get along with the newfangled millennials and step one is keeping his big mouth shut. If you're at risk of losing friends and family, just being pleasant is a good default. You can then read the crowd over the span of weeks and months and contribute in ways they find fun, instead of trying to "alpha" and manipulate them. People can smell when they're being manipulated, most people aren't stupid and they'll stop wanting to associate with people who make them feel bad.

I feel that being an 'alpha' or natural born leader, is just something that is either in one's nature or not.

Put a group of kids together, after the cliques are formed, they often have that one kid, who other kids just seem to be wanting to befriend with. Wanting to be in his/her good side. This kid always seems to be the most confident from all of the bunch.

You are either a natural born leader or not. You can act it, but you cannot act it 24/7, especially once you started wanting to have a close relationship with someone.

This is the problem inherent in PUA. If it works, it still makes your life worse in the long run. I remember reading The Game forever ago and getting to the end and realizing that the master PUA was absolutely miserable. If you have to put on an act to pick up women, you have to play that character for the rest of the relationship. It's exhausting, people crash and burn hard.

They are literally teaching deception. I would expect that they would be deceiving their followers as well. They leave out how if you don't change who you are, people see that eventually and you live in fear of people finding out the "real" you and that distances you from other people.

PUA takes the idea that committed sexual relationships are transactional and have power dynamics and tries to inject those power dynamics into every relationship. Everything is about access and leverage and status. It's miserable. The best relationships are ones where people can mutually choose to ignore those dynamics or are ignorant of those dynamics.

Good luck unlearning that PUA stuff.

I sighed reading this because I relate to this more than anything. If you have put yourselfin this situation, luckily you can get out. :) One day at a time, and it's just a lesson - albeit a powerful lesson. If it is any solace, I met RSDTyler face to face and was very CURT to his face about certain things because of the reason above. I saw a close friend I met through a community fall into an insanity he hasn't been able to recover, and it did such personal damage to me and my family I don't even want to think about it. There are better days ahead, I haven't met you, but hope you recover my friend. :) Silver living in everything.

The most important thing that helped me was meditation (not eckhart tolle, the meditaiton book called "Mindfulness in plain english" and finding a mentor through the community (funny enough) that was a positive role model - that had dealt with what you're dealing w/, SUCCESSFULLY! aka has healthy relationships, etc.

He helped me see the "fixing yourself" thought process that led to overthinking, and so many other things that are DEFINITELY from RSDTyler.. like

only valuing money, status, vagina (only serial killers think like that.)

Competition only, when it's cooperation that matters. :)

celebrity worship, arrogance, not valuing the right things.

Thinking somehow that tons of women will solve a made up mental problem that doesn't exist in the first place.. aka YOU ARE FINE! THERE IS NOTHING WRONG W/ YOU!

Have BALANCE in life! :D

Friends and family matter! Care for them!

You don't need to FIX YOURSELF!

SPREAD LOVE, NOT HATE!

STOP DATING!

NO MORE SELF HELP BOOKS, ONLY FICTION BOOKS! (for me it was manga and comics.)

Get in touch with yourself again.

STOP watching RSD videos, RSD material, NO FRIENDS That constnatly talk about dating, etc.

Let go of validation seeking... :)

STOP OVERTHINKING!

INNER GAME!

DRESS WELL! be healthy!

You do'nt HAVE to do anything, NEEd to do anything, etc.

STOP Trying to reverse enginer processes, STOP watching interviews of celebrities, etc.

Also, remember most importantly... LIFE IS LONG! Eevne though you're in this position.. luckily you got another 30-40 years left. :) optimism and action.

Love vs power. I have to agree, the pure power philosophy was quite overplayed in my mind. I left out love. Love precedes power imo, on many levels. You need respect to protect what you love, you love yourself before you respect yourself. You accept yourself before. That dynamic stands like two bricks on top of each other and then you can develop further and place more bricks on top of that. I feel for you man, Tyler didn't fuck up, the assholes in your life did. Don't blame yourself, that's a lie, but in the same truth, in accepting yourself, forgive them too. It takes time. I struggle with women too, not attraction, but love, connection. Breaking away from past betrayal. So yeah, sending a cyber hug your way bro beans!

That means you just adapted the social aspect of red-pill /rsdTyler. You must not have worked on yourself and or your career. You have to be congruent. You have to do the work on yourself to match the status you are emulating. RSD Tyler is good stuff purely as a PUA. He doesn’t provide much else.
