The theory bouncing around /r/tinder is that new accounts get promoted, then as long as they keep getting right swiped Tinder will keep promoting them.

It makes sense. Maybe someone should try Chadfishing on an account they've already exhausted the area with?

Sigh... You are commiting the fallacy of causation. There are two different elements at play here.

When presented with a model tier man a woman will of course swipe right on them and be DTF. The tinder demographic is pre-selected for promiscuity since it's a hookup app. Switch the roles around with a sexy female model making sexual overtures to a 4-7/10 guy and you'll see those guys jump at the opportunity.
The difference between male/female behavior on hookups begins to diverge when it comes to how each gender views the average looking members of the opposite sex. Women and men both find hot people of the opposite gender attractive enough to hookup with but only men seem to be DTF their average looking counterparts. There are various explanations for this disparity.

I tried tinder myself this weekend and created the following profile. I swiped right on about 5-8% of women over 3 days. No more than 25-35 women by my estimate. I got one match which appeared to be an accidental swipe on my part. So I understand the frustrations with the low number of matches most men get.

People will say I'm doing things wrong by not using face pics and swiping left on most women. The truth is I'm not comfortable with these dating apps, hookup culture in general, and I don't find most of the women on tinder attractive or they appear too sketchy or materialistic. As someone who cares about animals I don't find pot smoking septum pierced 23 yr old single moms appealing.

Well I only matched with a landwhale that I swapped right on by mistake. This was using my real pics three years ago. It's probably way more skewed today.
