Women are attracted to masculinity. Men understand that, they accept that, and they appreciate that. However there is more than one "expression" of masculinity, and there are loads of other things that can make a man attractive to women. This is what men don't want to understand.

To men and myself included, we like to think that "horizontal punching power" is the ultimate measure of manliness and should be the biggest turn-on to women. A guy who is big and strong and can scare other men and beat them senseless if he wanted to is the ultimate male understanding of male attractiveness. When men see a guy like this https://i.imgur.com/e4WnUrY.jpg they have no trouble accepting that is attractive to some women.

However there are loads more out there who would prefer a cool skinny guy who plays in a band and would get snapped in half like a toothpick by the first. TRP and similar places push DOM DOM DOM phenotypes and behavior when in reality they are pointing at one piece and saying that they've solved the whole puzzle.

It makes me wonder if this also effects the successes of men who follow these ideologies. What I mean is that maybe there is a certain type of woman who is attracted to this type of hyper-masculinity and then there are others that have different preferences. The ones who follow TRP end up with the same sorts of women who exhibit the same issues that they always complain about (branch swinging, AWALT etc etc)
