I'm 1 month into a new relationship (previously a plate for a year), and everything has been great, but one big issue is I'm having trouble letting loose and being genuine around my girl. She's great and someone I'm definitely compatible with, but regardless I find myself getting in my head and being fake around her for some reason. Likely a fear of losing her.
I have truly made myself the prize and keeping her attracted and chasing me is easy. But for some reason I can't let go of the idea that I need to put up at least somewhat of a front to keep her. This is preventing me from connecting with her, even though she's been pushing to break through my shell. She has even told me she sees through it and knows the genuine me is in there.
How do you learn to trust and be genuine with your women? Is this just something that comes over time? I didn't really hang out with her at all besides for sex previous to this month; so the bonding process has really just begun.
