Yeah... I don't get the height thing. I'm 5'7" which puts me at the low end of the normal range (+/- 1 StDev from the mean), and I keep seeing one profile after another that specifies that the man must be tall... not just average (even I'm taller than most women), but tall compared to most other men.

It's not like it has any bearing on anything. Fat chicks, though, are that way because they lack self discipline. It's calories in - calories out: that's it: no magic formulas... no "one weird trick that doctors don't want you to know"... no medical conditions... it's just straight-up self discipline with regard to eating and moving. Being fat tells me something about you, and what it tells me isn't good.

That said, of all the women I dated when I was single, two of them were taller than me (and none of them were fat). One was a lot taller than me. No big deal: walking while holding hands with the Amazon was a little awkward, but even then it wasn't any kind of deal-breaker.

You would think that with the numbers so readily available, more women would figure out that not every girl is going to get exclusivity from a guy at or above the 85th percentile for height. In fact, when you crunch the (readily-available) numbers on things like height, income, net worth, etc, it's clear that girls who are thoroughly average or below are all demanding a man who's in the same 1% of the population. Somebody better clue them in: we've already moved from monogamy to soft (rotating) polygamy... the next stop is hard polygamy, and that's not going to last very long because effectively locking the majority of males out of the mating market is a recipe for disaster.
