Dropcams saved me from a "domestic abuse" allegation yesterday. Consider camming up, guys.

TL;DR Trust me, it's worth taking 3 minutes of your time to read. This is what you call a butt-puckering "holy shit I dodged a bullet" moment:

I've known this girl around 2 years now. I'm mid 30s, she's early 30s.

We've been intimate but never officially dating. She's actually been a pretty good bud over the span of the time I've known her. Fishing buddy, hiking buddy, hanging out buddy, whatever.

Her lease was up at her old place and there was a span of about a month where she'd be between jobs and houses. And...DOH!...yes, I fucked up. I offered for her to stay at my place for that short time between.

That was fuck up #1.

Fuck up #2 was allowing her to drag me into a "why did we never date" conversation that quickly...well, you can guess how that quickly escalated on her end. Her feelings of inadequacy, feelings of rejection, feelings of just being a slut...blah, blah, blah, feels, feels, feels.

I remained silent through most of it. Only speaking to calmly re-explain that I'm not interested in a relationship with anyone at this point (basically kindly telling her she's a plate and always will be).

But a man can only take so much yelling and crying and bullshit before he has to just GTFO and take his problems out under the bar in the squat rack so...

Fuck up #3 was me leaving my house to go to the gym to blow off some steam and clear my head.

After about an hour and a half at the gym, I pull back into the driveway and go to the front door, put in my key...doesn't work. Go to the side door and it's slightly ajar...with deadbolt components strewn all over the patio and inside the door.

This bitch tried to change the locks on the doors of my house while I was gone.

I go inside and she's obviously frantic. She threw a tape measure (where the fuck did she even get it? It wasn't even my tape measure) at me and proceeded to scream and lunge at me.

Each time I backed away with my hands up. I remained calm and tried to calm her down but she was having none of it.

I'm not a huge guy...190lbs...but she's a 120lb little blonde female that is, at this point, nothing but hate and venom and swinging limbs.

There is no way I was going to touch her. I can see the headlines now "Ex military bodybuilder batters tiny blonde woman"

The only time I touched her was to deflect her blows and eventually back out of the door from which I came in.

I considered calling the cops but I couldn't see how that would ever end well for me (it certainly never has before and I'm about the most cookie-cutter, upstanding guy in the world).

I ended up just sitting outside on the front porch to let her wind herself down, which she kinda did.

She eventually comes out and hints that she has bruises on her arms and "someone needs to know because you're not going to get away with grabbing and hitting me."

That's when I dropped the bombshell: I asked if she knew that there's not one but THREE beautiful little Dropcams that were pointed directly at every single area that I went into once I was in the house.

The foot path I took every second I was in the house was no accident...I know exactly where those cameras point and what areas they pick up visual and audio the best

They cover as much of the first floor of the house as I can manage with just three (yes, ordering more now) and they do it all in full color 720p WITH sound.

At one point (and yeah i have to pat myself on the back for this) I made sure to mute the TV so I could be more certain they would pick up every word that was said.

All I did was calmly open my laptop (did this still in view of the cameras, of course), open up the Nest site, and show her the entire episode...her screaming, crying, attacking me, and me doing nothing in retaliation...

She was appalled at her actions and within 45 minutes of packing up some clothes, she was gone.

She's now five states away at her parents' house where she will remain until her new place is available.

There has been extremely little texting back and forth but I made sure to say, in no uncertain terms, that her and I will never, EVER be in private together again for as long as I live.

And if, for some reason, there is any reason to ever speak face-to-face it will be in a very, VERY public place with an objective third party there to verify everything "to keep everyone's safety and comfort at the highest level."

I think you already know but this was a very loud and clear reminder that this is the world we live in, guys. This girl was a "good friend" (fucking yeah right) and she knew exactly what she was doing and exactly what kind of harm those allegations would have on my life.

Cam up. You dont have to get Dropcams (they're a little pricey, especially when monthly fees are factored in and the fact that Google owns Nest gives me the privacy heebie-jeebies) but get SOMETHING.

If you plan to put them in the bedroom (I am after this incident) then I'd make it a practice to let any woman that goes in there know that there's security cams "but no, I don't watch that shit its just because my cousin had a bad breakin about a year ago and it sketched me out so I had them installed" Whatever works for you. Most women will forget about it in minutes anyway. Everyone is pretty used to being recorded these days anyway.

She also knew exactly what she was doing when she moved in with you for the month. That was Plan A to get the commitment relationship from you. When that didn't work she went with Plan B which was the commitment argument. You were supposed to crack and soothe her with a "yes." From there she went to Plan C... to threaten you with the law to get you to commit.

You were smart not to call the police. You could have been charged and forced to wait six months to get your case through the system. In all that time she would be living in your house with the only set of keys to the locks. Even eventual dismissal of charges is no guarantee she'd have to leave the next day... further legal action would be needed to pry her out. In the interim your reputation takes a hit, you'd have massive legal bills, no income throughout the process and a squatter in your house.

For people here insisting the OP must have seen red flags from her before this, give your head a shake. Flags show up when they show up... there's no intro music the day you meet someone to let you know what may be coming. Secondly, do not underestimate a woman's prime directive: having children. Giving birth is the one thing women can do that men can't. Even women who don't want kids go through a squirrely period as they fight off their body's demands to procreate. Women who want children but don't have the conditions they want are capable of any behavior to create those conditions.

My newsletter says she wasn't appalled at her actions when you showed her the video, she was appalled that you'd immediately removed the trio of gaslighting, plausible deniability and enforced reconciliation from her arsenal. Make no mistake she does not and never will feel guilty about her actions. She may act contrite and hope you think she feels guilt, but there's no guilt there. She did what she did and she failed. She's appalled at her failure.

[–]IronMeltsinmyHands57 points58 points  (63 children) | Copy

She's appalled at her failure.

I've always felt horrible for seeing women as monsters. Part of me wants to be kind and good. Like I was before I bit the pill.

But if they weren't capable of evil shit like this, I wouldn't have to see every one of them as monsters, just so I could feel safe.

Life is war. It is all war. The Mexicans that work in the dark corners of your country, the fuckin Cubans bringing in the drugs, the blacks trying to cope with the lack of care they receive by creating gangs and a "killer culture."

It's all war. Power is your only friend. Don't let anyone convince you otherwise. Don't let yourself be deceived.

[–]akjoltoy49 points50 points  (17 children) | Copy

Women are women. It's society giving them the power to do this that's the problem.

Rail at the system. Just deal with the women. They aren't hard to deal with if you've swallowed.

[–]TheDialecticParadox55 points56 points  (2 children) | Copy

This. Women do evil shit because they are:

a) Human b) Living in post-feminist society that gives them special privileges to get away with evil human shit.

If it were the opposite, men would abuse the system too, it's our nature.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points  (0 children) | Copy

and. . .

c) Post-wall and desperate to hook a man because her youth and beauty are rapidly declining.

[–]1oldredder18 points19 points  (12 children) | Copy

They're impossible to deal with unless you take precautions as described in this post.

Don't rail at the system, defend all attack surfaces into your life at all times.

Merely accepting "women are women" is the path to total suicide as women destroy you. You must accept women are often POISON, be it personal reasons or how society lets them be, and care nothing of the reason, merely how to protect yourself.

If you want to get laid use a burner number and not your real name, never your address.

If you want a wife & kids you need to do it outside North America.

[–]PhranticPenguin13 points14 points  (10 children) | Copy

I have to disagree with you, i.e. it being impossible to deal with. This seems like a bit too paranoid. I agree being prepared (like having cameras in your house) is good, but living in continuous distrust is a step too far.

Understanding female reasoning and seeing through situations would prepare a guy better than thinking all women are poison for him. Instead of straight up deflecting, he anticipates.

(just to clarify, i'm honestly just trying to have a discussion, not burn you.)

[–]1Snivellious[🍰] 6 points7 points  (8 children) | Copy

There's a real risk in this sub of misjudging risks, and I think your reminder is a good one. Horror stories are something to be aware of, but they don't define what happens to most people. The human mind reacts to lurid stories out of proportion to their actual risk. Kidnapped white woman syndrome and sketchy white vans offering candy are other boogeymen coming from the same problem.

Most men won't have an experience as bad as this post, and the problem in this post was outright solved with some cameras. The idea that it's necessary to hide from and lie to all women comes from a serious misunderstanding of how common risks are.

Frankly, I think people are more likely to die driving to a bar than they are to be seriously harmed by giving a woman at that bar their real phone number.

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points  (2 children) | Copy

Your comment reminds me of a phenomena I noticed a few years back. There was a certain kind of Vespa scooter clone imported to America and within a year or two I started buying them up after their cranks failed. I went on the internets and found out other scooter guys were seeing the same thing, a steady flow of these scooters with busted/seized cranks. Immediately we all assumed that each and every one of these scooters were shit with shitty bearings or cranks. We contacted the company who was aware of the failure and had been doing the research to figure out what the fuck was going on.

Turned out the trouble stemmed from a single miscalibrated press in a single parts supplier that was pressing the con rod/big end/bearings together too tight and preventing the flow of oil so like clockwork they would fail at about 5k miles.

The actual failure rate was about 2%, about 2 percent of these scooters had these nasty overtight bottom ends.

However since it was such a catastrophic expensive failure, because all of these failures found their way to enthusiasts, and enthusiasts network, it seemed like every god damn one of them was fucked when in reality it was just a small percentage.

So yeah, hearing horror stories all the time kind of obfuscates the fact that 90% of relationships start, exist, and end relatively amicably.

I guess what I am saying is be prepared and guard against the worst, but don't assume because you read about so many catastrophic failures that it is inevitable and don't go around assuming every plate is going to attempt to burn your life to the ground.

[–]1Snivellious[🍰] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

I think you're catching something huge here. The squeaky wheel gets the grease, so everyone thinks all the wheels squeak.

In addition to people remembering the horror stories most, the people with horror stories are most likely to speak up. TRP has useful things to say, but it's a terrible place to get a feel for how many relationships go badly wrong. People come here because they see one of the ones that blows up, so it's not a great place to judge how many people will go crazy on you.

[–]1oldredder-1 points0 points  (0 children) | Copy

invalid example.

I'm seeing these risks as common (what women do to men) and near-lethal (lose your job, your income, your home).

It's like juggling grenades with some so-called expert swearing they're safe.

Know what?

I don't need to actually juggle grenades and it's stupid. I can just do something else. Something with much higher return with much less risk.

[–]1oldredder0 points1 point  (4 children) | Copy

If they happen more often than 1 in 20 they are nuclear-level bad. These bad risks to be acceptable to me need to be under 1 in 20,000. They aren't. Almost every guy I know has been burned a little and maybe 1/3rd of the guys I know have lost a car or job or home because of a girl going nuclear.

[–]1Snivellious[🍰] 0 points1 point  (3 children) | Copy

This is interesting - there's either something cultural or regional backing this. Everyone has some bad breakups, but I don't think more than 1/10 of the guys I know have seen losses that serious, and a lot of those everyone saw coming.

If you broaden it to include woman-favoring (but not catastrophic) divorce outcomes the number goes up, but it's still far lower than 1/3. This is even after limiting my sample to people older than 40 or so.

None of this is to say it doesn't happen, but among the people I know well it's still very much the exception.

[–]1oldredder0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Any woman who spots that you aren't continually distrusting and making them prove themselves will see an edge to get into your life deeper than should happen and give little in return.

They're programmed to do it.

Women don't trust men like that.

Instead of straight up deflecting, he anticipates.

You can't. A range of possible actions is likely but anything can happen and a reliable input->output mapping can't exist.

[–]akjoltoy1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

All guns are loaded.

I think it was RSD Tyler who was giving this funny talk about how... just a few generations ago, our ancestors were on the African Savannah, and if you made a misstep, a freaking monster would fucking rip you apart and eat you.

We're spared THAT, but the pretense that Life is any less brutal today is an elaborate sort of fog-of-war. We're fucking animals playing musical chairs with a thin veneer of feigned civility.

[–]1oldredder11 points12 points  (9 children) | Copy

rarely ever have I seen a man rise to the same level of evil as a determined woman.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (6 children) | Copy

Its just a different kind of evil. Women don't have brute force as an option, they have to use guile and cunning. Like that Mexican guy who kept those three girls locked up in his basement. That was some evil shit right there.

An analogy of female style evil would be a woman cucking a dude and paternity frauding him.

Both of those instances someone is being robbed of their life, freedom, and their biological prerogative to chose their mate and rear their young is being raped.

The difference being that because of the womans cunning the cucked man doesn't even know he is being robbed and raped on a daily basis.

[–]TheLife_8 points9 points  (5 children) | Copy

I disagree. The man knows. Implicitly we all know something's wrong. We just can't articulate it and therefore can't make it real. Its deeply repressed in some Freudian part of the brain and we can't give it a name.

Don't underestimate the power of language to shape our understanding. Knowing more than one language can shape your perception. By coming along to the red pill, swallowing it and opening our eyes, we learn to attribute our thoughts to phrases like "Men love women like women love children," and "Women are the most responsible teenagers in the house."

We understand they are fundamentally different and ill-equipped for leadership. We just don't know why or how until we are given the vocabulary to explain it. Just like any abstract term.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (3 children) | Copy

Some paternity frauds might know consciously or unconsciously, I can't argue that point. They just suppress it or rationalize it or are in denial. A lot don't though, especially if the kids real father is similar to the cuck or if the bastard looks like his real children because of the womans contribution.

Also I agree that learning other languages should be considered part of the lift/read/meditate self improvement trip. French, Arabic, Latin, and of course English over here.

[–]TheLife_0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy

True, the child may look like the father, but there's always a tell. Something that triggers the brain to go "huh, that doesn't make sense." A spark of cognitive dissonance that for the unenlightened comes out as "She really loves me. She wouldn't cheat."

Any abstract concept needs a name or will just remain intangible.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

I think just about every father has that little voice in the back of his head, way way back there, saying, "gee where did that nose come from? How come this, how come that, maybe he isn't mine." even if the child is his. Genes can express generations after the last time they were expressed.

Its just part of the male mind thats constantly on guard for paternity fraud, and not exclusive to the 10-15% of paternity fraud victims out there.

[–]1oldredder0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

evil women will crank it up to a level of forcing you to hand over every penny you ever make or invent false assault allegations and throw your ass in jail or even try to get cops to see her in imminent danger therefore they must SHOOT you immediately.

Yes, some women are that evil.

[–]IronMeltsinmyHands1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy

I've seen some shitty men. Real shit men. But to be truly a disgusting piece of shit, I've seen very few men do that.

I think it's because we don't care about appearances as much as women do. We believe in love because women tell us they love us. Some beta faggots believe in feminism because women tell them they've been oppressed.

Truly, women have an agenda. It's to be a creature of pleasure. Everything they do, is about that.

Working out, cheating on your SO, telling someone you love them, having a career. Interestingly enough, [not really, its so obvious] not having kids falls into this category.

Women believe all men fuck every woman they see because they're jealous of every woman out there. Not because we pay attention to them.

I'm not being as articulate as I'd like to be this is all still a very... 101 level understanding of it. But I hope you see the point I'm trying to get across.

That was some depressing damn bullshit. It reads like a guy just discovered women can do bad shit, same as men, and now he's terrified.

The existence of Ted Bundy and Ed Gein doesn't make all men monsters, and what they did was infinitely worse than what this woman did.

The racist, woman-hating paranoia in that post is truly moronic.

Seeing reality for what it is doesn't make you a bad person.

[–]1Snivellious[🍰] -1 points0 points  (5 children) | Copy

This is paranoid, racist, and uninformed.

All women are monsters because this one cried abuse? How do you feel about being part of the sex that includes Jeffery Dahmer and Stalin? Most people aren't evil, they're just a bit selfish, the same as you and me.

Life is war because Mexicans pick my tomatoes? When did cheap burgers at McDonald's become proof of a world in flames, not petty greed?

When the fuck did Cubans become the source of all our drugs? They come over from an impoverished nation with next-to-no heavy industry, usually with only the clothes on their backs, and they can't go home again. You want to talk about drugs, talk about Mexico, Colombia, Afghanistan, or San Fran-fucking-cisco and the synthetic chemists right here in the US.

Everyone wants power. Fine. You can't trust anyone 100% of the way. Fine. Power overrules truth and justice. Fine.

But that doesn't mean you have to hole up under the bed, hiding from the minorities and the evil killer monster women to "feel safe". The world is a dangerous fucking place. You will die eventually, and you will go through bad times before you do. That's true whatever you do, and whoever you hide from.

Man up and accept that shit, because clutching at power and hiding from minorities and monsters isn't going to change it.

[–][deleted] -2 points-1 points  (3 children) | Copy

Downvote because of your name; go back and skulk in the shadows with the rest of your 'friends.' Nobody wanted you in Spinner's End, no one wanted you in Hogwarts and no one wants you here, Snape.

In all seriousness; if you hide from the world, bad things have a tendency to not happen to you since you're not around for them to.

Cubans run the operation arm of the Columbian and other mafia's drug rings in the South East; so I can get how that assumption can come about. Same thing for Mexicans and Guatamalans in Texas and other areas. Source: My experience in talking with Underworld people.

Selfish, petty, and above all living people are proof that the world is in flames. It's been in flames before we were ever even born, man. All people are monsters; your stereotype just tells me what kind of monster you'll be before I ever talk to you. It's advance notice; may not always be right, but it does come from some form of truth, somewhere down the line.

Stop trying to fight racism, man. It's a thing; people hate. Hate has united more people than love ever will.

And if everything is so terrible as you say; fuck manning up. It's not worth it; nothing is. Everything is shit and you know it.

[–]1Snivellious[🍰] 1 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy

I'll only bother to ask about one thing. Did you read Harry Potter? If so, what made you write a post about how the world is hopeless, it can't be saved, and we should all give up, then sign it Sirius?

The man spent a decade in the worst prison on Earth to get revenge on someone who wronged his friends. He charged to his own death without a second thought to protect his godson from his own mistake. Even after death, he holds out hope and thinks that there are things worth living and dying for. And you sign that name to "It's not worth it; nothing is."?

You can't fix the world, but go live for yourself and the people you care about. Go be the man in the arena, not the cold and timid soul.

Or don't, but fix your damn literary references.

Wait, did you think my name was a play on "Severus"? It's not even related.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

I did make that reference in regards to your name; sorry about that. Most people just ignore my shitposting, man. I thought that would have been clear by my karma count.

As far as living for myself; meh. I'm doing what I can, how I can; and that's it. I've got a pretty good idea what things are about; I'm just stuck where I am. There isn't a way forward; and I'm kind of a nihilist philosophically.

[–]1Snivellious[🍰] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Haha no worries. Honestly, it just caught my eye to suddenly get a Harry Potter themed response to a comment.

I don't mean to hate if you're doing what you can. I don't respect people who are hiding out even from what they know they can do, but if you're doing something I'll take it.

Nihilism makes total sense to me, I just find it too damn depressing. I suppose that's pretty much the definition of existentialism, though: "It's nihlism, but a bit cheerier."

[–]TRP VanguardtrpSenator31 points32 points  (3 children) | Copy

One of the less spoken things I notice that happens in certain sections of society is the professional "roommate". I used to see it all the time in socal, and still do today in other parts. It's basically a chick that hates working, but knows how to get guys to do whatever the fuck they want for them. Literally, their career is just getting guys to get them to do shit for them. From fake tits, to condos.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

I had one of those once. It was a hot girl I knew from high school. She cooked, cleaned, did my laundry, got me off on occasion, etc. in exchange for a place to live.

We both went into it with open eyes knowing what the deal was, and since she was relatively low impact on my life it actually wasn't a bad arrangement. I already had a place big enough so all it cost me was some extra food money. Basically trading room/board for a domestic servant/sex.

It ended when she brought a dude over to my place when she expected me to be gone. That was part of the agreement, no dudes at my place.

[–]TRP VanguardtrpSenator0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Eh, and it fucking works, so I can't blame them for taking the path of least resistance. I'm sure the girl in your story found another dude to take her in.

Most chicks that I know/knew that went down this path are actually doing pretty well, so long as they stayed off the hard drugs and "bad boys". One good female friend of mine went off to travel the world with some rich oil tycoon son and is now happily married with kids.

Whatever works. Girls have their own game.

Yeah, don't go busting the guys chops about "red flags" because women can go from zero to fucking nuts in 2.8 seconds. Unless you've been party to it, it is something hard to even comprehend. My grandpa has given me exactly one piece of advice in my life, and in my younger days I just thought he was a bit of an old misogynist, but now I know it was sage advice. He said to me "Boy, let me tell you something, all women are are crazy, some just take longer to show it". He couldn't have been more right.

[–]1oldredder6 points7 points  (0 children) | Copy

red flags are a thing that we need to teach each other, like how the immune system needs to keep adapting to new invaders, or how a virus-scan program needs to keep getting updates for signatures.

It's an arms-race.

We can bust each others chops a little about it just not to a level that's stupid.

He said to me "Boy, let me tell you something, all women are are crazy, some just take longer to show it". He couldn't have been more right.

I wish I had that from my grandpa, either one, because neither lived in my country and one died before I was even born.

This happened to me by my wife but I had no idea at the time how lucky I was. The cops came because the neighbors called about the fight but the cops hauled HER in. I should have bought a lottery ticket.

We were getting divorced and she came over to get pictures. I shut and locked the door when she went outside so I could get a family heirloom from her purse. She flipped and banged on the door until the glass shattered and then came in and attacked me. I just let her attack me and did not defend myself (she was petite). I just stood there while she hit and scratched me.

Most likely it was because she had just started using drugs and had had interactions with them before--they knew who she was--previously she had been arrested for being really wasted at a bar and refusing to leave. They arrested her and called me to get her at the jail rather than prosecute (she was 19). I was completely wasted (couldn't drive), too broke for a cab and literally carried her home for two miles (she was nearly comatose). The cops saw this, I think that is why they took my side and arrested her after the aforementioned fight.

I was a saint at the time. I believed the world was a dark place but if you were the shining beacon of goodness that the world could change. This was pre-Red Pill (90s).

One of the cops said when I was carrying her out, "You sir, are either a fool or a saint."

I said, "a saint" but NOW I know I was both. I ended up getting PTSD from many similar incidents during the divorce. Fun.

Another reason to never get married. For all the caterwauling of feminists about women being victims, they are the most protected, safest group in Western society. They can literally assault you then cry crocodile tears and have you arrested. One false accusation can ruin your life.

I used to date a girl that had a habit of randomly punching guys in the face and running away when she was drunk.

One time she gave a guy a bloody lip at a party. We ran into him a few days later and his lip was still swollen. She was like "Sorry about that I get rowdy when I drink teehee." He just laughed it off. "Well maybe I deserved it, I was kind of hitting on you..."

She pulled that shit on me a few times. Slapped me in the side of the head for talking to another girl too long at a party. My ear was ringing for the better part of the next day. I just laughed it off like "aw that's cute she was jealous."

The double standard is pretty crazy when you think about it. I was never scared for my safety because I had like 70lbs on her and knew I could overpower her easily if necessary (although in retrospect I should have been worried about white knights assuming I was the aggressor and jumping in to defend her, or her claiming abuse if I deemed it necessary to physically restrain her.)

But imagine if a man behaved like that? Slapping his girlfriend for talking to another man too long, punching some random girl in the face and giving her a bloody lip for hitting on him? "You're not good enough to hit on me! WHACK!" ... "Teehee I get rowdy when I drink."

He'd be hauled off to jail and/or beaten up by white knights. However it's supposedly cute when a girl does it.

Fucking hell, the double standard.

Nope. Completely false. Are you aware of that little problem the West has since decades, called demographic suicide? Basically bitches ain't popping out enough babies to replace the people dying.

You can't pretend (hamster) that a woman's imperative is to give birth only because you, as a male, find the whole concept fascinating and riveting and you think it's a wholly awesome and unmissable experience for a woman.

It isn't. A statistic research found out more than 50% of women admit of having felt no emotions for their spawn right after having given birth. Those were just the women that admitted it.

Giving birth, like every single other thing in the life of a woman, is only a whim, an experience, something to gain status toward other females and to obtain attention and resources from males.

This explains why only the women living in poor countries where they don't have alternatives in life, produce considerable amounts of offsprings.

"Advanced", civilized, rich women have a lot of more ego-fulfilling and satisfying and easier things to do.

Like working, posting new photos on instagram, drinking mojitos with slutty friends, gossiping, watch netflix, travel to exotic locations with someone else's moneys, and so on and so forth.

Interestingly, women often do the specular hamstering toward men's drives. They argue that men are obsessed with them due to their imperative to inseminate women and have rich offsprings, and yet the alphaest, richest men are the major users of vasectomies, or in general very rarely have more than 1, maximum 2 sons (which is still under the safe number of 3 minimum).

[–]ChiefBigLeaf3 points4 points  (11 children) | Copy

3 sons minimum? Minimum for what? Why is 3 necesary?

[–]RedPillScare10 points11 points  (0 children) | Copy

The population stability rate is 2.something, and fractional children are an expectant parent's worst nightmare.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (1 child) | Copy

Its not just sons but for population stability in modern times I think you need 2.1 or 2.2 offspring per breeding couple. Statistically one in 5-10 children will die or be incapable of reproducing or be so omega that no woman would breed with them.

So basically the two kids are to replace mom and dad, and the .1-.2 are the buffer for those that die or are infertile or aren't quality enough to reproduce.

And since you can't have .2 children it has to be three. Or more realistically if you have five couples they need to have 11-12 children between them.

[–]dogextraordinaire0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

We need less people. Rosebud's theory was accurate (that the world would adapt and increase it's carrying capacity through technology) but Malthus was also slightly correct in that high population numbers would have adverse effects upon society, the economy and the ultimate progression of the human race. I've spoken at length with a few doctors at my university about the topic; we all agreed that the world's population is too high to achieve a pleasant life for all (or most) and that further population growth would hasten about an across the board decline in services (jobs become too few), the economy (unemployment coupled with high cost of food that is expensively produced utilizing new technology) and generally the world as we know it (international decline and increasing nationalism ultimately heading toward conflict for resources). In private we all agreed that a disease or a world war would be needed in the next hundred years in order to stabilize and guarantee future human growth.

[–]Ailer0 points1 point  (6 children) | Copy

3 children was/is the standard Catholic requirement for women. If a woman has fewer than 3 children before reaching menopause, she is a shitty Catholic.

The minimum was set in place because that is the number of children a woman is required to have for society to grow, and generate the demand for labour to keep all the men employed. If fewer then 3 children are had, we end up in a state of over-supply of labour that causes unemployed men... a group that has, historically, turned to banditry and theft to survive.

Of course, if we had some other group other then men enter the labour force, we run into the same problem. See child labour and slavery. And the F-word of course.

[–]ChiefBigLeaf-2 points-1 points  (5 children) | Copy

An interesting idea. I do not identify with any religion so I couldn't care less about what catholics require or do not require.

Regardless of what is required for society to grow, it is still everyone's individual decision to have children or not. And if EVERYONE had 3 children, even the people who would raise those children poorly, it could still prove to be detrimental to society. Even though they have met your arbitrary quota.

[–]Ailer0 points1 point  (4 children) | Copy

And if EVERYONE had 3 children, even the people who would raise those children poorly, it could still prove to be detrimental to society

Is there any particular basis for this belief? Because at the moment, the people least capable of raising children are the ones most likely to have large numbers of children. The use of the word "could" in your claims is also rather suspicious. Large parts of this sub are about getting OVER being raised poorly. Being raised poorly is no indication you will be a detriment to society. It's just evidence your parents were/are detrimental.

By all accounts, Abraham Lincolns mother was a monster, and a drag on everyone who encountered her. His wife held much the same reputation. And yet, President Lincoln is often held as one of the most influential/greatest American Presidents.

[–]ChiefBigLeaf0 points1 point  (3 children) | Copy

Poor parenting often results in poorly raised children, of course there are many exceptions to this. I am very much for those who have had setbacks in their life, overcoming those setbacks.

Do you support everyone, regardless of their situation in life, having 3 children? People who do not have the finances to support children or people who have other problems in their life that would make them a poor parent. Do you think everyone of those people should have 3 children?

My point is that setting an arbitrary quota like '3 children minimum' is not a good thing for every individual situation. Some people just shouldn't have kids because they are not properly equipped to raise them.

[–]Ailer0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy

Do you support everyone, regardless of their situation in life, having 3 children? People who do not have the finances to support children or people who have other problems in their life that would make them a poor parent. Do you think everyone of those people should have 3 children?

Every woman, yes. Their ability to actually raise the children doesn't matter: there are any number of people who are able to raise children, and there have been orphanages and foster families since the beginning of time. Steve Jobs is a rather infamous orphan. If his biological mother hadn't been popping out kids she was incapable of raising, the world would never have seen him.

That "arbitrary quota" as you call it has nothing to do with individuals. It has everything to do with the well being of society. AKA: the greater good. Doing things solely for your personal benefit as though the rest of the world doesn't exist is... ah, what's the word... solipsism?

[–]ChiefBigLeaf0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

That is a good argument. There will always be exceptions (Steve Jobs, Abraham Lincoln) to my rule of 'poor parenting=poorly raised children' just like any other rule. I said that in my last reply.

I guess I just feel like some people's genes shouldn't be passed on for the...ah, what'd you call it...

the greater good.

Agree to disagree, sir.

[–]Ailer0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Getting children away from shitty parents is a laudable goal. Having those children not exist just because their parents are shitty people is not.

So you're for eugenics, while at the same time being for people overcoming setbacks. What an interesting life philosophy you must have.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy

I am going to go ahead and disagree there. Baby rabies is a real thing. The reason reproductive rates are dropping are many. For one birth control. For two societal programming isn't just for men, women are told they need to be strong independent women so even if she wants to listen to her evolutionary programming and pop out these babies she doesn't want to lose status in society by not having a career. Third women today think they can just do it later. They don't realize that after 30 their likelihood of conceiving healthy offspring begins to take a nose dive and fast. By the time they realize that societal programming was stupid and that she will never be satisfied without children its too late. Four is the unhealthy modern lifestyle. Being super fat, eating dirty, living in polluted ass places, inferior genes being perpetuated because modern medicine can save people that probably should not reproduce, etc. degrades womens chances of conception.

Women don't start freaking out on the baby rabies until maybe mid-late twenties and some much later, but when they do its sooooo obvious and so obviously biological programming.

I mean just on an evolutionary level any organism that isn't driven to reproduce would die out, not become a planets dominant life form.

[–]1oldredder7 points8 points  (0 children) | Copy

incorrect: MEN are doing their best to avoid being pinned for a child against their will so women are finding they have to give birth with NO finances, or get an abortion. The woman wants the fucking baby. No question. More men are refusing to get suckered and those who want children... many of them STILL can't afford it. With a couple that willingly wants a baby but sees the bills & income in a crashing economy and says "but how do we pay for this?" many are realizing they can't.

You were smart not to call the police. You could have been charged and forced to wait six months to get your case through the system.

While possible, this would generally be unlikely if he could show the responding officers the video evidence at the scene. Any officers I've ever heard of would gladly watch the video before deciding on a course of action, as it will generally help cover their own asses against an improper arrest & detention lawsuit, as well as improve their conviction rates. This is standard practice most places, for any video evidence (shoplifting, store robberies, etc).

So if you have video evidence, there is little reason to worry about calling the police, especially for your own home.

[–]fastball218 points9 points  (1 child) | Copy

So if you have video evidence, there is little reason to worry about calling the police, especially for your own home.

Logic says 'yes' to this statement, but it's not a guaranteed outcome. More than one study has shown that a male victim of DV has a better chance of being arrested than the female perpetrator, despite the fact he's the one who called 911 and he shows obvious injuries while she doesn't. It's just as possible an outcome that the police arrest him first and choose to gather evidence later, video or no video.

And if she's living there, the police will consider it to be their home whether her name's on the lease/deed or not. Ten minutes after he's put into cuffs she can ask for a restraining order.... boom, he can't go home even if he's released the same day. Even if he's never charged with dv, he now has to go through the courts to get the restraining order removed, which may take months. If that's successful he then has to go through an eviction process. And all this time he has to pay the mortgage and find a new place to live.

[–]RedPillarOfSalt0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

I agree that its never guaranteed. I'd feel comfortable doing it back in my hometown in the States, but for the last 20 years I've lived in countries where its generally better to avoid the police at all costs (literally, even if it costs money, even if you're the victim) I can def understand peoples' hesitations.

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points  (1 child) | Copy

If there's one thing that Reddit like to repeat to look cool but that is very good advice is to never talk to the police.

[–]RedPillarOfSalt0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

That advice is stupid when you're the one calling them.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

I just have to disagree. I have NEVER in my life had the police bring anything positive to any situation.

It goes to the kind of people who become police. Women (lesbians often) with penis envy or sadistic control freak guys who like being able to beat people up and lord power over them because they got picked on in highschool or they peaked at age 20 and just want to be a bully for the rest of their lives.

If on the outside chance you get just some normal type dude who happens to be police show up then its cool, but the vast majority of people in the PDs of America are shit heels.

[–]Requi3m0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

I disagree on the calling the police thing. The first person to call the police in this kind of situation usually wins. The time I didn't call the police and just left the house I got arrested because I couldn't give my side of the story. The time I called the police first she got arrested. All he would have had to do is show them the video and they would have carted her off to jail where she belongs. Now she's free to do this to another man who won't be so lucky and she won't have the DV charge on her record so they'll probably believe her.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

It's good that he got her out of the house and down the road, but I disagree that the cops would have arrested him.

He could have presented the video evidence immediately and shown her violence towards him.

Not only could she be charged with assault and other charges related to appropriating and or destroying his property, but also if she signed the police report then a false police report.

She is a guest and that's a lot different than a live in girlfriend who pays rent.

Yes, I've read the stories of men who got screwed, but those stories don't have video evidence backing them up. They involved women who were permanent residents in his home, etc. etc.

But, getting her out and down the road was a good idea because it allows him to call the cops and get his side of the story and present the evidence first. Once the cops get started filing charges and issuing warrants that becomes a hole she has to dig herself out of. When she starts to lie about what happened she only digs herself deeper.

The really crazy thing is that we have created a society where women can often get away with crazy shit like this. As we saw in cases like mattress girl, even when she is proved to be a liar, people (feminists in particular) will still stick up for the woman. That just does nobody any good.

This sub has a history of getting me to change my mind on things. One of those was my total opposition to Islam, no ifs or buts. I still have little time for it, but I have come to see that some of the things the media portrays as 'misogynistic' about that culture actually have some basis. I understand that under sharia a woman's word is worth half that of a man, isn't that right? I begin to see where that idea came from; they seem to have realized long ago that women will do crazy shit like this, and lie easily, and therefore their word is less reliable. Not totally to be discounted, no, but less reliable. Similarly, the provision that an accusation of rape has to be backed up by testimony from a 3rd party man. Too far, but again I begin to see where it comes from, when the stories of how commonly and without regret a woman will lie about being raped and ruin a man's life are heard. There was a link to a youtube recently about that.

[–]1cover203 points4 points  (1 child) | Copy

Yes western culture is too matriarchal. Islam is too patriarchal. Each one appears crazy to the other. Nobody seems to have yet devised a culture that's "just right", although I think the old Chinese culture (before the Cultural Revolution) was pretty traditional and patriarchal -- polygamy was allowed if you could afford the wives -- without some of the extremity of Islam.

[–]dogextraordinaire4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy

Confucianism was red pill as fuck. Women stayed in the village taking care of the kids, the father was the head of the household (captain of the ship), respect of ancestors and learning of wisdom through ancestral stories, understanding and respecting one's lot in life, learning peace through being one with nature, etc, etc. Pity Mao stamped most of that shit out because he loved his mother so much.

Fun fact! Foot binding was banned by Mao because he saw the effect it had upon the women in his life. It was pretty horrible (a social practice that only went ahead to make women - who were deemed classier/more wealthy if they had small feet - appear more desirable to potential suitors) but giving an inch ended with the regime giving a mile. The one 'great' social impact his entire regime had upon the country was doing his best to ensure the equality of women. Luckily the current communists -come oligarchical capitalists- are too concerned with making money to bother with women's rights for now. Guaranteed as Western culture continues to impact the East this will change however, we are already beginning to the emergence of women's rights in Japan (although you could argue this is because of many males dropping out of the dating pool \and becoming 'omnivores' over there).

[–]1APookIsAPook0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

The problem with the sharia line of thinking is that everyone is on a spectrum. Even if many women tend to be emotional, some can be very trustworthy and others insane.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Yes, I agree. Some men lie, some women tell the truth, but my understanding is that women are much more prone to lying than men, and therefore their testimony is less trustworthy. So I think that is what is behind sharia, an observation of human nature, rather than just 'misogyny'. Similarly, having an independent man observe a rape has taken place means that a lot of genuine rapes will not get justice. On the other hand, it deals with all these false rape claims that we keep hearing about. There is no perfect solution here. I'm not advocating sharia, far from it. I'm saying that I'm beginning to understand where the thinking came from. At the very least, it would help if people in general (and courts in particular) were to onboard just how prevalent false rape claims are, rather than believe the feminist bullshit that 'it is extremely rare' and all women who claim rape should be believed on principle - to the extent of reversing the burden of proof. We are at the opposite extreme from sharia, and neither extreme is right.

its not just your house

you can google a dallas judge, his drunk gf tried jumping out of the car and then said "you pushed me", luckily he was recording on his phone

it doesn't cost much to buy a Sony pocket recorder that runs for 72 hrs on one set of batteries. They weigh nothing and you can put them in a pocket and leave them on the whole time you're with her.

You can also put a gopro in your car. THe house cameras are a must, but due to some laws you may not be able to use the audio recording or even the car recording (unless you've told them before hand you are recording them). But I guess even with non-legal audio recordings, you can still deter her from calling the cops by showing her the audio recording and she wouldn't know it's not admissible in court.

Of course you can avoid most of these situations by not getting into relationships with drunk sluts, and secondly not inviting them to live with you like OP did.

I knew a guy who was drugged and assaulted by his now ex-wife's family because he disagreed with her over some petty BS. Woke up covered in blood with the police standing over him. Who do you think the cops assumed had committed an assault? If you answered, "the man", despite the fact that he was the only one with a mark on him, because he he's a man and a woman said so, you get a gold star.

The cops are there to protect the woman, not you, at least that has been my observation. This woman has scratches on her arms. Having video doesn't seem to matter either - look how many incidents there have been recently of a man being arrested for defending himself against a psycho bitch.

well seems there is really no right answer.

did they end up charging you in the first incident?

[–]Requi3m0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Yes. In the end I pled guilty after my lawyer got them to remove the DV tag and the charge would be removed from my record if I took the equivalent of anger management classes once a week for a year and completed my probation which I did. It was too much of a risk to take it to trial (and expensive!)

The best way to protect yourself is to start recording with your phone if she starts getting violent and call the police and show them the video when they show up. Definitely don't put any marks on her too. Unfortunately I didn't have a smart phone back then. The second time I got attacked I was lucky enough that she did it in front of my friend.

Conversion; depending on your jurisdiction, criminal or civil or both.
From wikipedia:

Criminal conversion is a crime, limited to parts of common law systems outside of England and Wales, of exerting unauthorized use or control of someone else's property, at a minimum personal property, but in some jurisdictions also applying to types of real property, such as land (to squatting and/or holding over) and/or to patents, design rights and trademarks. It differs from theft in that it does not include the element of intending to deprive the owner of permanent possession of that property.

Conversion as a tort (applicable in the US as well) is

A conversion is a voluntary act by one person inconsistent with the ownership rights of another.

When your property is in care of another, a bailment is created. In a case where the other person is the primary beneficiary ( i.e. not giving your coat to the coat check, not giving your car to the mechanic - these are for your benefit / part of an exchange ) then they have a duty of strict care. Fucking with your locks is not in keeping. So you could recover damages for a locksmith, and perhaps (?!) mental anguish/pain and suffering.

DISCLAIMER: I am not a lawyer, this is not legal advice.

I merely to point out that that there are all sorts off odd legal things most people have never heard of.
If something seems off - it certainly did here - then consulting an actual lawyer is the best way to find out.

[–]putsch803 points4 points  (4 children) | Copy

I am a lawyer. In must jurisdictions, you can only convert personal property, not real property. Also, conversion is not a crime in most jurisdictions; rather, it's a civil tort. You can recover damages for the converted property, but not have the convertor prosecuted.

[–]Thunder_button1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

So, should he call the cops?

[–]DannyDemotta1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy

On the record still helps though. The next burned guy's lawyer is going to search criminal AND civil suits against the crazy woman.

[–]thegman842 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

Yeah at minimum the OP should file for a restraining order. He would certainly get one with video of her tampering with his locks and threatening her.

That way they were at least be a court record which a defense lawyer could find that she has a history of this kind of stuff.

[–]1User-31f64a4e0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

I understand, which is why I used the word tort and called attention to the salience of jurisdiction here.

I am hoping the main takeaway is that there are all sorts of things in law that most people don't know about, so see a lawyer if you have any question whatsoever that you have been done a wrong.

No letting your emotions drive you is bad... but so is ignoring your 'gut feeling' which is basically a man's most important emotion.

Even though I think 'gut feeling' in men is a result of the brain on the subconscious level processing more data far more quickly than our conscious mind can possibly do and coming to a result faster.

TBH, what crime was made?

Now don't act blind. Would you still be wondering if it was a crime, if instead of a woman irrupting in your house in your absence and trying to steal it from you and locking you out, had you found a male doing the same things?

Yes, you see what crime was made.

[–]SilentForTooLong0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Domestic violence assault was the crime. By not pressing charges you are allowing her to do this to someone else who won't be so lucky. She needs this on her record. Oh and the DV tag will prevent her from ever buying a firearm which is a nice bonus.

[–][deleted]  (4 children) | Copy

[–]Endorsed ContributorRedBigMan4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy

Yeah I was going to ask the same question.

That said it's kinda impressive a woman with enough skill to swap a lock on her own without calling a locksmith certainly puts her at least a bit above average... for a woman.

Probably to no one's surprise here, she picked the shittiest locks in the world. Like $40 for 3 deadbolts. I mean, if youre going to try to steal my house, at least try to give a damn about protecting what's inside it, lady. Damn!

Probably bought the cheapest ones she could find because that's all she could afford... Also all your shit inside it isn't anything she's had to work her ass off to purchase so she doesn't give a fuck what is inside just that she can lay claim to the building itself and deny you your property.

As someone who comes from a family of locksmiths realize that a lock only keeps honest men out and mildly dishonest ones. If a real crook wants to get into your house they will either by picking the lock (if they want to be subtle about it) or by kicking the door in (if they dont give a fuck).

[–]vacationlife-0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

varies state to state. check your local laws and act accordingly so the evidence gathered can actually help you.

I would just do what stores and shit do.

Post signs saying 'These premises are protected by video surveillance'.

[–]absolucion2 points3 points  (3 children) | Copy

Better to be safe than sorry. The last thing you want is for a woman to try and press charges for recording her.

[–]DannyDemotta2 points3 points  (2 children) | Copy

If its not in writing, how safe is it? It'd be incredibly easy for her to just deny you said anything.

But signs everywhere, inside and outside the house, that friends/family have all seen - that are on video, themselves - not as easy to deny.

[–]absolucion1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy

There are ways around it. If he captures audio & video, all he needs is verbal confirmation from her that she understands that she is being recorded. If it's video only, he can make sure to get her to acknowledge the cameras.

Edit: And I'm not saying that having signs alerting visitors that they're being recorded is a bad idea. There are obviously degrees of caution here.

[–]DannyDemotta0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

I mean....that's a pretty good point. I'd just worry what would happen if, say, you scrub your cameras every year (or every 6 months, etc.) and something happens 13 months in, and you're unable to produce the pointing-at-camera audio/video footage. A sign is 'forever', and you could easily produce friends, family, contractors, etc who can attest to the signs' existence.

If you're physically inside of your own home, you're already going to get the benefit of the doubt. I don't see how it could be legal to shoot a burglar, but not record the audio of them writhing on the floor.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy

this gives a down and dirty, but get a lawyer.

[–]Endorsed Contributorvandaalen4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy

Can't speak for the US, but in Germany you just need to place a sticker in a visible place which says something along "This place is being video monitored". It's assumed that a person, after being informed about the recording, gives consent by entering the monitored area.

"Visible place" just means a place where the one recorded is able to notice it. So putting it on the garage door, where that person will not pass, or putting it at the wall under a table, won't do, but you also do not need to put it on eye-level on the front-door. It should be obvious that you are not trying to hide it.

A judge can decide to use the recordings as evidence even if the person's recorded weren't informed though, if he regards it as important enough. This applies especially if serious offences are involved.

I personally also don't think that you need to hide it. If somebody asks you about it, just say something along "It's a dangerous world." Might come off as a little bit weird, but it's rather minor and you can brush it off fairly easily.

[–]NightGod1 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy

It would likely depend on your states consent laws. In a one-party state, I don't believe you'd even have to have the sign up, in a two-party state, you'd at least have to have the sign in a conspicuous place, but probably would have to tell her.

[–][deleted]  (1 child) | Copy

[–]NightGod8 points9 points  (0 children) | Copy

Yeah, your research there reminded me that it's only the audio recording portion that needs to be mentioned. I live in Illinois (for 6 more weeks) and have the audio disabled on my dashcam because of this. One of the first things I'll be turning back on when I move to Texas, though.

The breach of privacy makes the evidence inadmissible. You should really fucking care.

[–]thegman841 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy

tldr; You're totally wrong. Evidence illegally obtained by private citizens is absolutely admissible in court.

What you're talking about is called the Exclusionary Rule.....

Here's some quotes from Wikipedia:

Evidence unlawfully obtained from the defendant by a private person is admissible.

The exclusionary rule is designed to protect privacy rights, with the Fourth Amendment applying specifically to government officials.

Need a better source than Wikipedia? Here's a quote from page 286 of the 2010 book, "America's Courts and the Criminal Justice System", by Neubauer and Fradella:

Evidence obtained from a source independent of the constitutional violation, *such as from a private citizen, is admissible** (Segura v United States 1984).*

The exclusionary rule is intended to protect people from having their constitutional rights infringed upon by the government. It has nothing to do with private citizens. You may be criminally liable for illegally collecting evidence, but you can't be prohibited from using it to defend yourself.

[–]Lt_Muffintoes2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

Ah cheers for the info.

Hmm, so previous false take allegations on the part of the whore are inadmissible, but if you find out about then add a private citizen, would that make it admissible?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (5 children) | Copy

Its dependent on state law. Find out the law where you live. Its the difference between saving your ass and having wiretapping charges thrown at you.

[–]SpawnQuixote1 point2 points  (4 children) | Copy

It's mainly about the audio. You can put stickers on your door that say you're recording all conversations in one two party states and be fine.

edit: One party states you don't even need the sticker.

Thanks commenter below me.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (3 children) | Copy

In a one party state you don't need any notification at all. You count as the one party. Also, I am not a lawyer so people need to get formal legal advice.

[–]Endorsed ContributorRedBigMan1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy

You may be better off putting the sticker up anyways. If someone is in your house talking with someone other than you then you're not technically a party to the conversation. This is why every 800 number you call always tells you 'this call may be monitored for quality and training purposes'.

[–]arrayay1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

You may be better off putting the sticker up anyways.

Not arguing this, but if someone is in your house they are not in public. They are on your private property.

You dont have to get Dropcams (they're a little pricey, especially when monthly fees are factored in and the fact that Google owns Nest gives me the privacy heebie-jeebies) but get SOMETHING.

I'm sure they are pricey, but a criminal defense lawyer is pricier, not to mention spending years in jail.

Well done, OP. In today's environment, where women can make false accusations with no reprecussions, rock-solid proof is the only defense.

Whenever I see a CC rider, they always look physically worn down, as if they've aged 10 years more than their peers.

I used to chalk it up to the hormonal effects of always being rejected from long term relationships, as well as general genetic predisposition (meaning that girls predisposed to ride the CC are also predisposed to age badly, as both are unfit traits).

Now I also wonder how much of that is due to STDs. Women are far more likely than men to contract them, due to the plain physics of the vagina, the fact that women prefer experienced men, and that women have far greater access to sex than even the most attractive man in the world.

[–][deleted]  (1 child) | Copy

How in the honest fuck did she justify this to herself? I mean, you get caught trying to change the locks to someone house, assault the person you wronged, then after they walk out on you, you try to threaten them?

Did she try to explain herself at all? Honestly, better that you avoid the media circus but I'm almost hoping you'll bring it out there just to have one of those cases that gets everyone jaw dropped.

[–]1oldredder2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy

justify? Women feel men are their slaves and pawns until shown otherwise using the law, using force, using logic, using whatever is needed. A lawyer/cop showing a woman her way to jail: that shows her. Her using force and finding out you can withstand it and deliver more: that's teaching her. Her using arguments of feelz and you using logic to shut down all feelz: that's showing her.

Women don't want / need justification. A few don't act this way but many feel like entitled children as if you are not even a person with rights whatsoever - if you are a man you are to obey her orders or other men will do as she says and jail/beat/kill you for punishment.

dropcams save video on "the cloud", owned by google.

Could storage kinda provides extra security. Having two backups one local and one in the clould is probably the ideal solution.

[–]_eskimo_brothers_0 points1 point  (3 children) | Copy

It does, but privacy advocates would always prefer to NOT give a large corporation that gives their information to government agencies constantly their images/video/audio. Like OP, I too am not crazy about that.

It goes both ways though, the nice thing about drop cams is because they save to the cloud they can basically be hassle free. Along with being wireless. Just pay the what $10/mo? fee and you're set.

[–]byrdcall0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy

I am sure there are cameras that let you even save to your own ftp server. The possibilities are probably more than limitless. If the cameras are perfectly hidden so that they never raise any suspicion it is even better.

[–]_eskimo_brothers_0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

Oh yeah, there are plenty. With software and your own storage array there are indeed infinite possibilities.

Dropcam was created to fill a hassle free need.

[–]byrdcall0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

How do you make sure, that the camera doesn't get spotted and deactivated by the intruder? Dropcams aren't that easy to hide.

[–]Barrebaron2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

If anyone is interested here's a bit cheaper Linux solution. For home security.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (2 children) | Copy

Shit op. Dash cam, house cams, within 3 weeks they'll be installed. Fuck.

Just fuck. What even was the plan to switch locks? "oooh if its my keys it's just mine now".

[–]1oldredder1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy

my personal policy is women don't get to know where I live. They have proven unworthy of that level of trust. They don't sleep here, fuck here, visit, nothing.

[–]_eskimo_brothers_0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

He's known her for two years! Probably had no signs of this level of crazy. It boggles my mind she tried to change the locks on his house. Another poster was right, she went with Plan C and went nuts when Plan A and B failed.

[–]rp_divorced3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy

what a fucked up world we live in when you have to have cameras INSIDE your house to protect yourself.

[–]1RBuddDwyer2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

Kids, that is what we call Borderline Personality Disorder.

[–]∞ Mod | RP Vanguardbsutansalt3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy

I've said it for years now:

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy

Please be careful, this could be the tip of the iceberg.

I had a bipolar ex file a false rape claim against me a week after we broke up.

This same girl then waited a full year and sent me some text messages to get me to respond to her. She then filed a restraining order against me based on false allegations simply because she knew my address and where I could be served. I had to pay a lawyer to defend myself against her false allegations even though I hadn't seen or spoke to her for a full year.

[–]theinfiniti5 points6 points  (1 child) | Copy

You're not going to attempt to file a lawsuit against her? She attempted to restrain you from accessing YOUR PROPERTY and (possibly?) caused damage to your belongings. You have the evidence, use it properly, get this manic bitch in jail or a mental facility. You'll be doing a favor to many people; considering the facts here, this is probably not the first time she tried to pull something like this, and with her conning, innocent people may be jailed due to her psychopathic nature.

[–]aphelion33425 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy

He's got nothing to win. She has nothing to get from him. It sucks that he can't do anything to prevent her from future freakouts and can't serve justice. But it is what it is. And he can't exactly call the cops either:

[–]lizzardbwain2 points3 points  (3 children) | Copy

You should've called the cops when you saw your house was broken into.

Lease expired = No money to extend it/Getting kicked out

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy

it wasn't broken into at all. She was living there and had access to the house. It was her domicile by agreement.

[–]lizzardbwain4 points5 points  (1 child) | Copy

That's up to police to sort. When I see broken hinges on ground, keys don't work, open doors - I'm not putting myself in danger, police are paid to do the risk management for me.

I'm not gonna risk my life confronting an intruder.

[–]absolucion2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

She wasn't appalled by her actions. She was shocked you had that much foresight. Christ, you couldn't have been in a better position to deal with that situation. I wouldn't be surprised if she tried to reach out under the guise of apologizing and mending your “friendship” to try and figure out whether or not you're going to hand the footage over to the police.

A buddy of mine at work buys flips electronic equipment. First thing I did was buy a set of security cameras and a digital recorder. The kit retails for several hundred bucks but he gave it to me for $50. Best investment I've made in a long time.

[–]1favours_of_the_moon2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

I think you already know but this was a very loud and clear reminder that this is the world we live in, guys. This girl was a "good friend" (fucking yeah right) and she knew exactly what she was doing and exactly what kind of harm those allegations would have on my life.

Cam up.

That's what society is now. Women know that all they ever have to do is point a finger at someone and BAM. They win.

[–]MadeSomewhereElse2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

Well looks like amazon is going to get some cash from me.

[–]vicious_armbar2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

I went though the same thing. Just be glad you didn't knock her up first. My plate tried to set me up on false DV charges after she trapped me because I refused to marry her. Luckily none of the charges stuck.

After she pulled that I got the hell out over there and never looked back. But since then she's hit me with false accusations of: Child neglect, child molestation, refusing to provide my son with medical care, and the list goes on. She's taken me back to court 3 times in 5 years over bullshit accusations, and I've paid $12,700 in lawyers fees to slap them down so I can stay in my son's life. If you count the savings I had from the military that I blew supporting her because she refused to work after she got knocked up the total climbs to $31,000.

Never trust a woman when she says she can't get pregnant guys. Either make her use a form of birth control that you can visually verify: Iud, Spermicidal insert, sponge, etc. Or wear a condom and put hot sauce in it when you're done. And as the original poster said security cameras save lives. Not only can they save you from false DV charges, they can also save you from false rape accusations. You can buy a Foscam wireless camera that hooks to your computer over wifi for $60 if you want the low end version, or $80 if you want the high end version. That's a steal compared to having to pay a lawyer $300 an hour to defend you from false accusations.

[–]herewegoaga1n1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

It shouldn't have to be this way, but I'm glad you protected yourself. That girl sounds psycho though.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (6 children) | Copy

What did she say over text? I can't even fathom how you could continue to....just yeah

[–][deleted]  (5 children) | Copy

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (4 children) | Copy

What the hell she left stuff? That's fucking annoying. What was the first thing she said? Fake apology?

Like she should feel so disgusted with herself.

[–][deleted]  (3 children) | Copy

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (2 children) | Copy

What an evil bitch though. You'd have lost your fucking freedom. Think about that. Your fucking FREEDOM, the most goddamn important thing there is. She was willing to rip that from you to strongarm you into a relationship. Fuck this fuck ass society.

[–][deleted]  (1 child) | Copy

[–]1oldredder3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy

It's no bluff. A buddy at work lost his place, his car, a lot of money and that woman blocked his way, hit him and most certainly called the police and said she was battered.

That's how shit really works.

[–]I_is_the_best1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Having cameras is a great idea. How exactly does it work ? Is it a webcam that streams to a server ?

[–]1raceAround126[🍰] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Be right back... filling my home with CCTV cameras.

Seriously, I just dropped £500 worth on some new IP cameras. I have one in the living room, but thinking I need to expand my coverage. If not for burglars but you never know when some crazy fuck will decide to set her Big Brother aka the cops on you.

[–]thinktankman1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

With the drop cams you should have called the police and report it at least leave a paper trail.

[–]1oldredder1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

I ended up just sitting outside on the front porch to let her wind herself down, which she kinda did.

FRAME CAN NEVER defend you. Cameras can.

Never let a plate live with you - never let ANY woman live with you - and if your locks get changed just phone the locksmith and say "someone's broken into my house and changed the locks. I'm the only owner here, let's fix this" and the cops too if you must since it's a B&E as far as you're concerned.

You "didn't know" someone else could have / would have done this who has access since it's your place.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

"someone needs to know because you're not going to get away with grabbing and hitting me."

Ho-lee fucking shit, this is pure evil/blackmail.

She's actually been a pretty good bud over the span of the time I've known her. Fishing buddy, hiking buddy, hanging out buddy, whatever.

This meant nothing to her in this moment. Briffault's Law all the way.

Every minute of every day a man does things just as evil as this--does this mean all men are terrible evil monsters?

Obviously all people are capable of evil just like this, but

1) Men's violence is physical and overt compared to women's mental violence and covert aggression, and

2) Society shits on men and masculinity all the time and does absolutely nothing to address the female capacity for manipulative, deceptive, violent evil.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

[–]redditplsss1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy

In this particular situation, was it a viable option to call the cops as soon as you noticed that she tried switching locks? Im asking because what if you didn't have cameras.

[–]1cover200 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

I never had such negative experiences with cops, and I wouldn't have hesitated to call them. But whatever works. There could be slightly different circumstances where the cops would not be an option but the cam saves your ass

[–][deleted]  (2 children) | Copy

There's a law about recording without consent in some US states. I wouldn't bother. If she says you raped her, bring out the recording and cop to nonconsensual recording instead, which is probably about like a traffic ticket. If she doesn't lie about what went on in the bedroom, never show anyone the video.

[–]S74RK1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Great post, I have definitely been thinking more and more about "camming up". I also recommend everyone get a simple audio recording app on their phones.

That being said, there is a slight possibility that this post is some amazing content marketing for Dropcam/Nest. Show me how a product helps against crazy bitches and AWALT and I'm sold ;)

[–]cxj1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Dear lord this explosion of bad behavior sounds exactly what my ex did to me, except i naively called the cops and was arrested for domestic battery and preventing a 911 call (seriously). You really truly did dodge a bullet, I've considered getting cameras before, but my lawyer told me that he once had a case where a woman bruised herself in the process of attacking her boyfriend, it was on video and the guy still got convicted of domestic battery. So idk, there really is no winning nowadays, females are an inherent and extreme risk unto themselves.

[–]kbbroiler1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Wow. What a story but you learned never fall from tears from a woman. I actually like to see them cry now. I get a big laugh out of it. I'll start laughing like the million dollar man Ted Dibiase. These women are cry ang the fact she tried to change the locks shows how fucked up she is.

[–]watersign1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

[–]LifeAtPeace1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

If it were 5 years ago, I would have dismissed a post like this as troll. But based on my experiences with women in the past 5 years, I cannot help but believe everything written in this post. Good job OP!!!

No matter who she was, your friend, coworker, relative, girlfriend or wife, women can and will you use anything they have against you to destroy you. This is the lesson I have learned.

[–]WhiskeyGrin1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

I've seen cameras literally save men from having their entire life ruined.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

Thanks for the report.

Two things:

  1. You should have called the police and got her jammed up in court for domestic violence/assault, and WTF with the locks and shit. I'm almost certain there is a charge there somewhere. Trespassing, destruction of property/vandalism, something. In the state of Kentucky if someone enters your home and attempts to force you out of your home unlawfully that is justification for lethal force ie. shoot the fucker. So, it's a serious crime here and she should be punished for that kind of shenanigan.

  2. Don't put them in your bedroom for a couple reasons. First is that while you may be diligent in telling them they are there there is always the chance they will "forget" and claim you unlawfully recorded sex without her consent. That's a predator list offense btw. And second is that if that video should be "leaked" then she's going to sue your dick off for it.

Best to leave the cameras out of the bedroom. It's enough that there's video of her entering your home, going into the bedroom, and leaving later on in peace and perfectly willing.

If you are seen making out on the couch, or the stairs, or where ever and you end up in the bedroom then "her word against you word" will be backed up by enough video evidence to sway opinions. Plus any sexy in "common" areas has a lower expectation of privacy such that even if it's filmed no one has a "reasonable expectation" of privacy.

That said, put a sign on your front door stating that your home is under video surveillance. Make sure the sign/s are visible in the cameras so that no one can say there were no signs or they didn't see them. Anyone can say you didn't tell them and I'm pretty sure you would have to "tell" them every time they entered. Having a few signs should be enough.

(end/Internet Lawyering)

[–]DoNotEatTheTail1 point2 points  (5 children) | Copy

Can you explain why you would allow someone you're upset with to be alone in your residence without you? I know you said it was "Fuck Up #3", but how do you ever let that person stay in the first place?

[–]antariusz-2 points-1 points  (2 children) | Copy

Yea... she pegged you as a beta that she'd be able to walk over without resistance. Give them an inch, they'll ask for a mile. Give them a tingles, and they won't pull this shit.

[–]1oldredder2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy

wrong. Women want tingles and resources. Once they figure the tingles are locked down it's time to lock down obedience/resources.

This is no defense. Sorry to downvote you, I know you mean well but your advice is deadly wrong & will send more men into this same situation - and some of them won't have cams.

EVERY woman that fucked with me, I was fucking her 3 times a day on the regular. Tingles are no defense. They still want the dick but they want my obedience and control over my resources too.

[–]ElPatron19720 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Had she fooled herself into believing that you'd attacked her or when you showed her? When she saw the video what was it? Was it just her knowing she was busted or her realizing she was the aggressor?

You should have called the cops and had her arrested for assault or whatever it was she'd done to you, fuck her -- particularly true if she was trying to manipulate you. Someone like that will just do it to another guy

[–]TheSliceman0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Im still procrastinating buying a Dashcam for my car.

I know I need one, I know I can afford one, but I have such a strict savings plan/budget that even though I make a lot, pulling out 50-100$ for an extra insurance policy is death.

[–]Senior ContributorMentORPHEUS0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

OP, why oh why didn't you file charges against her and publicly shame her in the media? Opportunity lost for a man, giant opportunity lost for mankind.

My "stick your dick in crazy" incident (a dozen years ago now btw) culminated in the woman going to jail herself. Her plan was to literally take over my place with me in jail, and did this to two other men in the past I discovered later. I was the man who put HER in jail, which also checked her future behavior with other men. Maintaining frame helped me prevail with almost no physical evidence, compared to the gold you had in hand.

[–]DJNuvaio0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Soooo op , I'm not quite sure if anyone had asked already, but is there any chance that you might have one of the recordings available to see? I want to see the face of defeat >:)

Highly considering cameras now, I would have consulted a lawyer and filed a lawsuit against this psychotic donkey and sued her for everything she was worth.
If you let pieces of shit like her get away with this sort of thing, they will learn nothing from their mistakes and try them again on less capable people (ie someone who is not a RPer and does not have cams installed).
Call bitches out on their shit

[–]AntixD0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

where did you buy the dropcam?

[–]LeGrandDiableBlanc0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

It just goes to show you that every plate will jocky for the LTR upgrade, and if kept in the plate zone long enough, ALL plates will get fed up and leave at best. If they're crazy enough, they will try and tear you down in the process any way that they can (false assault/rape charges, spreading rumors to your employer, etc.)

You dodged a bullet OP. Any recommendations for drop cameras?

[–]flexiblehold2 points3 points  (7 children) | Copy

Great read, but living in such fear of the potential actions of an undetected psychotic woman that you would rig your house with cameras, that doesn't seem healthy.

I suppose if you're into psychotic women that's one thing, but even then dropcams won't save your ass in every situation.

First off I don't trust anyone that feels the need to preface their ridiculous statement with "trust me". Second, you made rookie mistake after rookie mistake; the entire situation could have very easily been avoided with common sense. I have made plenty of mistakes myself so I'm not attempting to come off like I haven't, but I'm also not posting something that's being made out to be a necessary read; this is far from it. In the future you'd be better off by choosing a better way to lead off your post. I love this sub and I've learned a ton from it, but some of you guys are delusional, to say the least.

Cams are unnecessary. How about quit sticking your dick into crazy. Problem solved.

[–]BlueFreedom420-2 points-1 points  (0 children) | Copy

You should not have told her about the cams. You should have let her escalate it to court then dropped the evidence on her. Then nobody would ever believe her again; you would have protected yourself and any man she tricks in the future.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
