Kind of piggybacking off the post about how there are tons of unattractive/slobbish men on dating apps.

I’ve noticed that a lot of men will go for girls and GENUINELY believe they can get girls while looking, quite literally, any kind of way. I’ve seen dudes with greasy obviously unwashed hair and stained clothes hit on cute put-together girls and then get bitter when they’re rejected. I’ve seen dudes who look (and smell) like they JUST rolled out of bed beg girls to “just give them a chance.” I know we’ve all seen the most unremarkable, terrible photo-taking dudes spamming girl’s Instagram pictures asking “when am I gonna see you, beautiful?”

And.. I gotta be blunt. Some dudes are just plain fat/butt ugly/short but do NOTHING to make up for it. It’s like they don’t even see their flaws as flaws. Fat/ugly women for the most part always try to make up for it whether it be dressing to look thinner (spanx, corsets, waist belts), accentuating their breasts, wearing makeup or doing their hair in a way to distract from a feature. Also, girls get a lot of flack from using filters but it at least shows that they’re self-aware and care to look better (albeit temporarily). Guys don’t even feel the need.

So tell me PPD- are men taught that they can be desired no matter how they appear?
