Skinny fat guy beats his college athlete girlfriend in wrestling. Girlfriend is shocked. Feminism has convinced women that biology isn't real

Thread from the relationshit advice place. Won't link it but it was pretty popular with 3k upvotes.

Tbh I'll give the relationshit place credit. They were very well aware of the strength difference between men and women. Even the female commenters self reported getting overpowered by smaller men. But a reoccurring theme with the OP's gf and even female commenters is just how SURPRISED they were when they first realised the strength gapm

Let's take a look shall we...

I (21M) met her (20F) 6 months ago. We go to the same college.

Seems to have LTR'd her either just before or during the CC. LTR during college is a bad sign, but oh well.

Now we would usually wrestle for fun but I'd always let her win. I think she took pride in winning but whenever I told her I wasn't going serious, she would say "yeah right" . But if it made her happy it wasn't an issue.

Didn't assert his dominance, and let her win for "her happiness". Very BP signs.

Also notice how she says "yeah right"? Her deluded brain actually believes she is winning.

Now I'm not a big guy. I'm about 5"10 and 175lbs. I'm skinny fat basically.

TLDR - I look like shit.

I occasionally lift weights so I'm pretty strong.

Translation - I've been to the gym 2 or 3 times.

She's 5"11 and 165-170lbs. She plays Volleyball for our college at a competitive level, so she's an athlete.

Okay, so his GF is a competitive collegiate athlete and basically the same size as OP.

Well the other day she initiated another wrestle and I let her win, until she said "ok let's see what you got". I wasn't sure what she meant so I asked her and she asked me to go serious.

OP's girlfriend begins to wake up from delusion. She knows he isn't really trying. But has deluded herself to believe she can still stand a chance.

So we wrestled and I pinned her rather quickly. She tried to break free but couldn't.

Reality manifests itself. Reality is that despite being of similar size and way less athletic, he's still far stronger than her.

I could tell she was a bit shaken so she asked to go again, and we went again but i got her in a headlock.

OP's gf is "shaken", aka her reality is being shattered. She is realizing the lies that BP society and feminism have taught her.

I didn't squeeze too hard, but just enough to hold her and she tapped. We went a third time and i pinned her.

OP says he "didn't squeeze too hard", meaning that he's STILL holding back and easily winning. Even with restrained strength, he makes her tap in a regular headlock (not even a real chokehold).

At that point she seemed confused and things got a bit awkward.

"Confused" means that she's realised what she's been told is a complete lie.

She then told me she never knew I was serious when I said I wasn't really trying.

Aka her hamster brain was spinning so much that she genuinely thought she was winning.

Since then, her mood has been lower. She's usually bubbly but this time I noticed she was low and a bit mopey.

OP's girlfriend is adjusting to her new reality, as she has realized the extent of male strength. Hell she probably doesn't even know that he was STILL holding back when he beat her.

OP mentions in another comment that he is "quite strong" because he bench presses 80kg. Make what you will of that, but benching your own BW isn't that impressive by lifting standards. He probably is stronger than the average dude (who apparently can only bench 60kg), but whatever.

TLDR -, a skinny fat male with minimal lifting experience and lack of athletic background, completely DESTROYED a female collegiate volleyball player of the same size, while holding back.

Now this shouldn't be a surprise to anyone with half a brain, but feminism and BP society, have convinced women that they can kick ass. Probably a lot of them influenced by the dumb hollywood movies. And I wouldn't doubt that BP folk encouraged this nonsense belief.

This is less a blue pill example and more of a cultural thing with feminism lying to women in various ways. /u/pearlsandstilettos and /u/theredpillfinance talked about this very thing on their show on the official TRP YouTube channel several times now.

Let’s bring some “equality” and stop “segregating” males and females for sports. After a bit only men will remain as women are outperformed, that ought to do it

[–]ntvirtue34 points35 points  (2 children) | Copy

Why do you think so many women's sports are starting to bar "trans women"

My daughter played soccer for a D1 School that went to the NCAA tournament pretty much every year.. really good team. This school didn’t have a men’s soccer team, just a club. The team against this club and a got massacred 4-0, WHILE holding back. They had clearly been instructed to not injure the girls. So WHILE winning 4-0, they keep doing these amazing athletic leaps and tumbles to avoid colliding. Quite the show

[–]IClogToilets-3 points-2 points  (4 children) | Copy

No way. Do you have a source? The Woman's team is damn good ... better than any HS team I've seen.

Waay back in college (2007) during my first year, we had a "professional " female boxer. She had a pretty high reputation as a fighter. We were in the same economics club. So one day we go out and i drunkenly told her i could beat her easy. Now i was out of shape dude that drank every weekend. Never took health seriously and was not the epitome of an athlete.

She took that shit SERIOUSLY. I mean she seriously believed she could beat me badly. We were the exact same height and she was toned and fit. I probably had a good 40 lbs on her of pure unadulterated fat. She actually calls her trainer and sets up a gym fight between me and the bar. Now there is no turning back now. The whole club plus our mutual friends knew about it within the hour.(thanks to facebook).

It became a huge thing. That she would fight a dude who challenged her. I was just talking shit at the bar, she was so confident in her "famous" left hook that she escalated this to people taking side bets. I mean everyone knew she was going to win. My boys of course were on my side. Fast forward, day comes. I was hungover as fuck. Anyway grab my gym shoes and head on there. I mean her mom was there and family members. The gym was packed. She was supposed to fight some other girl a few weeks down the line and i was some kind of warm up curtain raiser. That is when it hit me, shit, what the fuck did i do.

We get in the ring and she starts sparring. Her punches of course were better than the average girl but what hurt more to me were stomach area punches. I thought i would puke. I was more defensive and she was all in aggressive coming at me with NO DEFENSE AT ALL. She honestly believed she didnt need to or even if i hit her, she could shake it of. But all in all, she was still a girl. Then she landed a punch that was heavy to my face. I literally saw stars. The round ended. I was taking it easy on her because that was her life and to me it meant nothing. I honestly would have thrown the fight.

Round two, she comes out and taunts me calling me a pussy. This time I decided fuck it. We start sparring. i catch her with a hook. she literally fell flat on her ass, dazed. She could not believe. She got up. The referees ten count was more like 15 count. One fucking punch. We get back up. She comes at me flailing her punches wildly. There are tears in her eyes. A second punch, and she goes down a second time. This time she is now crying. I didn't even hit her hard. Round is over. I realized shit was not funny anymore. So I called for a bucket and force puked. I then conceded the match saying i cannot go on. She got the win.

She was not happy at all. I basically had taken down her entire last two years of her life in 15 minutes. She was used to talking shit to guys on how she can beat them up. And believed it. In two rounds her life had shattered. She stormed off. She later again tried fighting some dudes again and got her shit kicked. I heard that she quit.

[–]Nicolas063112 points13 points  (0 children) | Copy

Truth is hard to shallow. And you can understand it no ? She made lot of effort and just you being a male with higher testo rate made you win without real effort.

It remind me of that study on muscles and how to get them. They had 4 groups: people not doing anything, people not doing anything getting testosterone, people training, not getting testosterone, people training & getting testosterone.

The one that did nothing and got testosterone got better results than the one that trained without it. Only the guys that trained AND took it got better results.

So this is biology.

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points  (0 children) | Copy

Pussy. I'd have decked her again and again until the match ended

[–]BumblingBeta14 points15 points  (1 child) | Copy

That story sounds completely fake, no offense. On a subreddit full of spergs and social rejects, I highly doubt something like this actually happened.

But the moral of the story is true - men are stronger than women.

[–]NarrowBath71 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

yes but won't catch me in the cage with cyborg, and I'd be amazed to see many 150 lb guys that could beat up amanda nunez lol. of course those are the top of the top of the top of women fighters, but yeah, women still have the potential to be dangerous.

[–]superstar94b26 points27 points  (1 child) | Copy

If we got rid of title 9 do they understand their sports usually don’t bring in enough revenue to exist? We probably did more harm than good with that.

[–]Regl_b21 points22 points  (0 children) | Copy

Absolutely it did. If you know how to play Australian rules Tidley-winks as a female, you get a full scholarship. But if you are a male and a great player outside of football, basketball and baseball, you’re shit out of luck.

[–]teeekuuu14 points15 points  (1 child) | Copy

Same in my MMA gym. Once we had a real hard day eith tons of grappling drills etc and then the usual 3 rounds of sparring, I ended up sparring one of the girls at the last round. Now because I was exhausted I traded some easy shots and took her down, then realized that I’m way too tired for ground game and gave away my back. She took it and I stood up and just kinda shook her off, she then said “well, that’s just boring”

Thing is, every time we have to spar with women we obviously take it easy and they are throwing max power shots...

I’m sure she’s had her ego leveled a few times before.

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points  (0 children) | Copy

I’ve had the same experience. I almost could not believe how weak they were until I rolled with a girl for the first time.

[–]Quantum_Pineapple4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy

It’s almost as if young women are growing up seeing female superheroes who weigh 140lbs beat the shit out of two 6ft4 220lbs men at the same time and thinking that it isn’t pure bullshit.

Men are told that they aren’t allowed to use their physical strength and then women start believing that it doesn’t exist.

[–]BlackendLight95 points96 points  (15 children) | Copy

Also seeing videos of girls beating guys online which are either staged or exceptions to the rule and people start to believe it applies to everyone.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

[–]dusara21731 points32 points  (1 child) | Copy

The level of skill disparity necessary for a weaker fighter to overcome a bigger, stronger opponent is absurd.

[–]ntvirtue12 points13 points  (0 children) | Copy

In wrestling that is exaggerated even more by the rule set.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

Unless you are really extremely small, you do not. Like if you're 5 foot and 120, maybe a woman could beat you. But an average size man (5-9, 175) can beat 99% of women with ease.

[–]Whopper_Jr68 points69 points  (14 children) | Copy

The thing about those women superheroes is that they are constructed with masculine attributes—storylines that follow the boy —> man hero’s journey with other male archetypes. It confuses the culture. You end up with women with unnatural masculine traits. (Well raised) foreign women (non-American/EU/AUS) have a feminine strength and composure without the underlying masculine energy.

It’s very weird interacting with American women who have unnatural male competitiveness or cockiness because it’s not straightforward how you’re supposed to engage with them. This is further compounded by feminist/leftist ideology, which makes them both militantly aggressive as well as fainting-couch sensitive. There’s no corralling them, western women and Pandora’s box are one and the same.

[–]sensual_predditor36 points37 points  (1 child) | Copy

I never understood who the lie was supposed to benefit

But then I realized it was supposed to harm

[–][deleted] 17 points18 points  (1 child) | Copy

This is a great point. I've had these weird interactions with aggressive women where I have no idea what to do other than disengage. With a guy you kind of size eachother up and one of you will back off because you don't want your brain plastered onto the pavement.

What are you supposed to do with this shrieking 5"4 plushie? You so much as shove her and you're in deep shit

[–]pbar31 points32 points  (6 children) | Copy

militantly aggressive as well as fainting-couch sensitive

Good description. I had a female housemate, years ago, who was all about the Stronk Wommyn thing before its time.

Then one day she was heating some oil in a pan, lifted the lid, and it burst into flames.

Put the lid back on, right? No. She threw the lid across the room, ran down 4 flights of stairs, called the FD, and sat on the sidewalk crying.

She did nonsense stuff like this periodically, but it never changed her attitude about her own competence and ability, in any way.

I borrowed it from this convo between Christina Hoff Sommers and Camille Paglia:

I would argue that other countries (EU/AUS) are more liberal than America and their women more liberal by default. Could this masculine energy simply be independence?

[–]cellarkeller1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Not sure about the whole of EU, but if you compare American women to Dutch ones, American women will come off as way more tomboyish

I call it "The Black Widow Syndrome," from all the Marvel movies where Scarlett Johansson is shown taking out multiple opponents without even breaking a sweat. This clip from Iron Man 2 illustrates the point well enough, methinks:

[–]jackandjill220 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Absolutely. I've always thought about this. That's not how it works at all. You can't Kung Fu someone if you're 4'8 versing someone who's 6'7 with 280lbs body weight.

The media pushes this narrative pretty hard. Even shows like Vikings show women physically dominating men. It looks absolutely ridiculous to me, but people seem to eat it up. They have no idea how ridiculous that narrative is.

[–]its_meKnightSwolaire55 points56 points  (0 children) | Copy

I love Vikings but yes they do and it’s retarded. Shield maidens did exist but they pretend it was 50% of the army and they have equal strength to men. What a joke. Still love that show though.

[–]IterMercator40 points41 points  (5 children) | Copy

Tbf Vikings is a bit more realistic, there was a rape scene and the guy completely overwhelmed the woman, and most the killing by women is with a weapon, so it isn't as bad as a woman taking on 6'2" muscled dudes barehanded

[–]TheStumblingWolf19 points20 points  (4 children) | Copy

[–]Leg__Day46 points47 points  (2 children) | Copy

The main difference is bro has been around forever.

Sis only now started up as soon as it was cool to be a feminist and used as an empowering term. You've never heard it before recent.

Bro is not used to empower other guys.

I was recently at a party where I overheard several girls discussing the men vs. women in sports -phenomenon. Many in the group held the opinion that, for example in tennis, women aren’t allowed to compete against men for the fear that they might win. And that it should be allowed ASAP. Anyway, I minded by own business and let them keep their delusions.

Preparation is crucial. Remember that a game like this is light-hearted - taking it too seriously would be a mistake. My training regime consisted of a leisurely round of golf in the morning followed by a couple of shandies. I turned up on court feeling suitably laid-back.

Worth a read as the story only gets better.

[–]dgillz8 points9 points  (0 children) | Copy

Billy Jean King was 29 and Bobby Riggs was 56 when they played "the battle of the sexes". I can't comment on Riggs "going easy" but the age difference in itself is significant. A real "battle of the sexes" would've had her play Jimmy Connors or Ilie Nastase in those days.

Correction, it would be 6-0, 6-0. Woman play best of 3 instead of best of 5. That fact alone is telling.

I remember a debate I had years ago back in school where the subject was something like "should men and women be able to compete together in sports", and I said, "clearly they shouldn't because men and women are physically different and men are stronger." I got reprimanded by my teacher for suggesting that women are physically inferior to men.

She couldnt respond.

What a twat. Zero women in any major pro sport. A few female race car drivers. You have to drop 4 - 5 pro tiers and you can find a couple of women goalies in hockey somewhere in Europe. Still no female players in other positions at that level.

[–]FunStayReee0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

OP mentions in another comment that he is "quite strong" because he bench presses 80kg. Make what you will of that, but benching your own BW isn't that impressive by lifting standards. He probably is stronger than the average dude (who apparently can only bench 60kg), but whatever.

Can an average guy bench 60kg for reps? I find that hard to believe. The first time I benched in the gym my arms started to shake during the final reps of 4x12 with just the bar.

[–][deleted] 45 points46 points  (4 children) | Copy

A 1981 study found that untrained college males were able to out lift collegiate female volleyball and basketball players.

Researchers found that untrained college men have greater upper and lower body strength, both in absolute and relative terms, than trained collegiate women volleyball and basketball players:

D1 athletes/basketball players have to undergo weight training for their sports and still get out lifted.

[–]Hock3yGrump4 points5 points  (3 children) | Copy

Thats 1981..... Im not defending the strength difference, but a health report from '81 is heavily pushing the uninformed retard potato envelope.

Female health and fitness is exceedingly better 40 years later. An idea some of the simps here need to learn how to enjoy. Stretchy tight clothes and athletic bodies.

There is a good reason modern women are as confused as they are. Talking about being "stronger" and actually being stronger are two different things.

[–][deleted] 25 points26 points  (0 children) | Copy

There's still a huge strength gap bro.

[–]functionalghost6 points7 points  (0 children) | Copy

Rofllll hey cuck woman and men have gotten fatter over 40 years. Hope she sees your ass kissing though bro

[–][deleted] 30 points31 points  (9 children) | Copy

Most studies seem to say that the average guy can bench 60kg for several reps. Probably 3-4 of one set, not multiple sets.

You've got to remember that the average guy is also fat fuck at 195lbs and 5"9, so 60kg seems like a reasonable bet in comparison to BW.

Shit like that doesn't translate well due to the different nature of both exercises and the different supporting muscles used in either of them. The best way to determine your bench press is to bench press.

How big/tall are you? I don't have big upper body #s. A friend in High School was already 6'1 and was benching over 200lbs for reps. That won't win at powerlifting, but it's way over 60kg.

Definitely, in our boxing gym the girls can only compete with the weaklings. Even the girls I can fight pound to pound ( I do lots of weight control) with, can’t compete even the slightest, even the ones with better technique just get stopped by long range jabs and a defense breaking cross, while still holding back.

[–]Gearski3 points4 points  (3 children) | Copy

You spar with women in your gym? I've never seen that before.

[–]schrono2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

With like 10% after a longer break, since I weight only 69kg I’m only 1 weight class away from the bigger ones. I get a safe environment to readjust to sparring, and they can prepare for tournaments. It’s a win-Win if you do it right

Men have a wider range of intelligence compared to women. I know I'm not using the correct terms, but there are more highly intelligent men than women, but there are also more unintelligent men than women.

It's why there is a woman's chess league, they can't compete.

[–]Bing_Bang_Bam32 points33 points  (4 children) | Copy

Men also have this obsession thing I've noticed. They get obsessed with cars, computers, airplanes etc. Women don't seen to get that as much.

I guess when you have everything handed to you, and people always trying to fuck you all the time, may kinda gets in the way of personal development.

[–]superstar94b23 points24 points  (3 children) | Copy

Nah, it’s biological. Men are “things” oriented. Women are “people” oriented. That’s why men rule math while women rule Human Resources. Logic, sports that require spatial intelligence, and problem solving tend to be things that require personal development, and those are all things women are unlikely to enjoy on a biological level.

[–]throwlaca9 points10 points  (0 children) | Copy

while women rule Human Resources

They do it because its basically the easiest job ever. Men can also rule Human Resources and often they do. It's just that you cannot win against a population with higher skill variability than yours. You always will get someone better.

[–]Nicolas06311 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy

Quite likely, the average female understand better people things. But to be honest the best at it light pychiatrist, politicians, sellers, investigators at the police and many other are men.

Even the best cooker are typically men and the one most skilled in fashion & clothe design are men too even if they are homosexuals.

Basically there more variation in men than women and for some reason, men most often manage to be at the top ranking.

[–]Mustang10110 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Simple rule of thumb for the autists in here saying "some women can outlift men", 90% of men are stronger than 90% of women.

[–]dusara21721 points22 points  (4 children) | Copy

the top 10% of women are still weaker than the bottom 80% of men. Seeing shit like female MMA fighters trying to fight average dudes or female body builders get out-arm wrestled by completely average dudes puts the lie to the idea that men an women are physically equivalent.

[–]1Ill_mumble_that7 points8 points  (0 children) | Copy

Google “Miesha Tate grapples several men”

While I agree that in the vast, vast majority of cases the strongest women are still weaker than below average men, it isn’t the case that random dudes off the street can beat the shit out of female UFC fighters.

[–]BumblingBeta0 points1 point  (3 children) | Copy

What if you put a 125lb skinny untrained male up against a 180lb female college volleyball player who regularly lifts? Who would win in a fight?

[–]ZerglingKingPrime0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy

You don't understand what I'm saying do you. I didn't say 100%. If the way I phrased it doesn't click think of it this way. If you take any random 10 girls and 10 guys in the US, on average, the 1st strongest female will only be stronger than the 10th strongest male. So basically, statistically, the weakest of the ten men is the only realistic candidate to be weaker than any of the women, and the most likely candidate for that to be the case is the strongest of the ten women. So your example would represent those extremes.

[–]BumblingBeta1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy

Yeah I understood what you were saying. I was just clarifying which cases a female could genuinely overpower a male.

I'm guessing if she takes steroids and lifts heavy she probably could (assuming the adult male was small, skinny and untrained). What other instances could a female overpower a male?

[–]ZerglingKingPrime0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

It just depends on their genes (stature), their training, and their lifestyle. A girl who is on one extreme can oust a man on the opposite extreme. Although that 90% figure was based on a study of arm wrestling I believe. So we are just talking upper body strength. Thinks like extreme long distance running are actually almost dead even in terms of performance between the sexes.

[–]Sintar0713 points14 points  (1 child) | Copy

I had a gf once around high school who was into 'being a strong woman' or something. Went to some junior police thing with plans to someday join the force. She'd get really annoyed when she wanted to demonstrate holds and moves she'd learned there and I just removed myself easily. Insisted she couldn't actually try with them or she'd hurt me. Very in denial of reality. Some of them need that vision of themselves I guess.

Well isn't it the cases of most arrest ? I mean once you are discovered, they know who you are, if you resist ands escape, they will come back with more people anyway. Whatever your strength, you can't compete with the whole state.

If really you insist on resisting, they'll throw to you dozen of guys with guns and special forces like SWAT or GIGN.

So if you are not entirely stupid, you allow them to arrest you.

I train MMA and actually have a few amateur MMA fights and a pro record in K1 Kickboxing. I am predominantly a kick-boxer and my grappling SUCKS!

We have a female BJJ brown belt who has a very high opinion of herself and prides herself on “tapping” men (I had seen her bullying new trainees and a lot of the other women).

I’m not confrontational generally and she weighs maybe a bit above half what I do (my non fight weight is about 235lbs). She starts calling me out constantly to “roll” with her.

Again, my grappling is GARBAGE!

Finally I agree. She really thought that belt gave her magic powers or something. After a bunch of shit talking to me, which I never reciprocate, we started. She learned quickly that all that technique, and even her magic belt, doesn’t mean much against an opponent that can literally lift you overhead with one hand.

Now she just badmouths me behind my back. “He’s just brute strength, he has no technique and he fights like an asshole”.

This story has no real point except another example of a woman who drank way too much Feminist Kool Aid

[–]txcbfcts2 points3 points  (6 children) | Copy

She really thought that belt gave her magic powers or something.

She thought her affirmative action brown belt was equal to a man's, forgetting the fact that she has the anatomy, physical strength and speed of a 14 year old boy and that 14 year old boys aren't even allowed to become blue belts.

On the other hand it's hard to realize you are a fraud when whiteknights constantly simp for you and pretend you are a badass in the hope of getting a crumb of pussy.

[–]cyberkrist4 points5 points  (5 children) | Copy

In all fairness to her BJJ doesn’t really do the “affirmative action” thing that more traditional martial arts have fallen into to increase their enrolments. There are requirements for belts and I haven’t seen evidence that women get their belts without meeting them, especially at that level. My point was not so much that she didn’t earn her belt or that she shouldn’t be proud to hold it. My point was that she forgot that there is gender separation and weight classes for a reason.

[–]txcbfcts-1 points0 points  (4 children) | Copy

As long as young teen boys aren’t even allowed to test for those belts, women being awarded them is a bullshit double standard.

25 year old women are athletically on par to 14 year old boys. Even the athletic gap between 25 year old women and teen girls isn’t that big. Adult women are 25% stronger than 14 year old girls and 15% stronger than 16 year old girls. That’s without adjusting for weight class.

If a martial art claims a woman can be awarded a rank, it can’t exclude young teen boys and teen girls from that rank. If the idea of a 14 year old black belt sounds retarded, then so does the idea of an adult female black belt. Pretending women can fight creates all sorts of problems.

[–]cyberkrist2 points3 points  (3 children) | Copy

By your own logic, since me at 235lbs is going to be able to beat a 135lb man in combat, nobody fighting at 135lbs deserves to move up the ranks or should even train. “Pretending 135lb men can fight creates all sorts of problems”

Never seen a 14 year old that deserves a black belt for the record (maturity or technical skill wise), so I can’t comment on that. I’ve also never seen a woman in my fight gym get given anything they didn’t earn rank wise. Your rant has never really been my experience

[–]txcbfcts-1 points0 points  (2 children) | Copy

Women at their athletic peak = 14 year old boys. This is a fact that isn't up for debate.

Even in highly technical sports like soccer or gymnastics (the common events at least) women are evenly matched by 14 year old boys and get destroyed by 15 year old boys. So much for women being more technical...

The minimum age for a black belt in BJJ is 19, right? You mean to tell me that no 14-18 year old boy deserves a black belt, but women do? Bullshit.

[–]cyberkrist3 points4 points  (1 child) | Copy

Yes, men are stronger than women......that’s why women compete against women and men compete openly. Technical skill can and is routinely trumped by strength so your equation of the 2 is just flawed llogic (the girl that I beat is much more technically savvy at grappling than I am). Lastly, handing out instructor and master ranks to children is part of what destroyed trad martial arts.

I’m sorry you, or whoever you sit around complaining about women to, didn’t get the belt rank they thought they were owed. The rules are the rules and they are applied evenly. Go join a Taekwondo school. if you have the money they’ll give you whatever colour belt you want.

Done here

[–]txcbfcts0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Lastly, handing out instructor and master ranks to children is part of what destroyed trad martial arts.

Which is exactly the same as handing out ranks to women. Of course your pathetic whiteknight ass can’t comprehend such a simple fact.

Either rank should take strength into account or it shouldn’t. If rank is only about technique, then statistically there will be young teen boys that will meet the standard and yet won’t be recognized because they don’t have tits, ass and vagina.

14 year old boys wouldn’t destroy women in soccer, if women were much more technical. 14 year old boys wouldn’t match female gymnasts, if women were much more technical. Muh female technique excellence lie gets crushed in sports where there are fewer whiteknights apparently.

I’m sorry you, or whoever you sit around complaining about women to, didn’t get the belt rank they thought they were owed. The rules are the rules and they are applied evenly. Go join a Taekwondo school. if you have the money they’ll give you whatever colour belt you want.

Sorry to disappoint you, but the gal with the affirmative action brown belt most likely won’t read this and you won’t get your peepee touched. Tough luck.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy

Damn... how many times did you tap her?? Did you confront her after she talked shit?

[–]cyberkrist4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy

We only went a couple times but she literally tapped once from my putting her in a side control and just putting my weight on her to prevent her air intake. The other time she got me in a fancy arm bar from her back. Which would generally work against an opponent who couldn’t literally lift her entire body with that arm.

I don’t see any point in responding to people’s bullshit generally. People know who I am, they know she couldn’t beat me, and confronting her would accomplish nothing beyond making my gym awkward.

[–]WangHotmanFire33 points34 points  (14 children) | Copy

My ex girlfriend had a black belt in taekwondo, think it was 3rd dan. Let me tell you, she was surprised when she just didn’t have the physical strength to get out of my thoroughly untrained ass holding her arm behind her back

In case you were wondering, these were all consensual activities with the sole purpose being to see if the skills actually worked

[–]randomnomber36 points37 points  (9 children) | Copy

Well, that's also because taekwondo is basically the worst martial art for self-defense. It's mainly for cardio, getting head shots, and doing fancy flips and shit.

When I was training BJJ I rolled with a girl a couple times. I was pretty thin at that time, 170lbs 6'2. She was probably 110lbs. She was better than me in terms of experience and technique, a belt above me. She couldn't land any submissions even though I was never trying to out muscle her or try to use my body weight to my advantage which would have been super easy. Fact is I could have just picked her up and thrown her against the wall if I wanted.

[–]throwlaca3 points4 points  (2 children) | Copy

A single belt above you is not enough to equalize the 60 lbs difference. 60 lbs is HUGE and it would be the same if you fight a man, unless he's a black belt.

Source: Did BJJ for some years.

[–]reddick11 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy

I agree. My personal theory is that even BJJ skills is only good enough to beat someone at most 50% heavier than you. Only so much you can do vs someone heavy laying on top of you. I rolled with some guys probably 250lbs fat not muscle, but it was really tough.

Based on the original topic anyway, the weight difference alone not counting muscle composition difference, is enough to win the fight male vs female.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

A lot of women who can beat guys in rolls would lose to them if strikes were allowed.

[–]BumblingBeta0 points1 point  (3 children) | Copy

How heavy were you and how heavy was she? The premise of the OP is useless because the man is heavier. Get a 125lbs skinny untrained male against a 180lb female strength athlete, put them in a fight and see which one wins then. If it's the male, well I will concede that men are clearly stronger at all weights and strength levels. But if the woman wins, then it would be interesting to say the least.

[–]throwawaykeizow0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy

OP and gf are same weight.

Scientific studies find that even average men of similar size to elite female athletes are considerably stronger.

[–]BumblingBeta0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

[–]throwawaykeizow0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Your example doesn't make sense to me. Its extreme and unrealistic.

A 5"10 125lb men is very likely suffering from health problems. Men have denser muscles and more twitch fibers than women, so they're supposed to weigh much more. A 125lb man at that height is likely suffering from a number of health conditions.

The only real reason why this post has any upvotes is because people read the original relationships advice post AND your title. You have taken more of your time to hate on the guy than try and explain behavior.

Your attempt at dissecting a relationships post is extremely bad. It’s filled with hate and radical assumptions. While you do have some knowledge, you are nowhere near the level needed and thus have written absolute verbal vomit on the subject of relationships.

Let’s try and think for a second now.

OP met someone in college. You assume that this happens just before the CC or right after because COLLEGE BAD FOR LTRS.

To make such an assumption you need to have more context, like is the college Florida State University?

OP let his girlfriend win in play fighting. You assume OP is a very blue pill beta male for letting his girlfriends win because this is an act of not asserting dominance.

It’s called playing a game. Relationships are a long term game. We all play games. Beating someone obviously inferior in every competition does not make you an alpha, it makes you unaware of your social surroundings and someone who isn’t fun to play with. Also it’s wrestling, which obviously leads to sex. Is it blue pill that OP let her win EVERY time? Maybe. But should OP win every time? Fuck no.

OP says he lifts weights occasionally and is strong. You translate this to OP goes to the gym 2-3 times. Radical. Far fetched. Out of your ass. Unnecessary.

OP talks about height and size. All you do is mention that they are the same size. Will you point out something wrong or something right with that? Otherwise unnecessary.

OP (175lb) wins against GF (165lb). You tell your audience that even though OP is way less athletic, he managed to beat his girlfriend. Well, weight and athletic performance are connected, you know. And OP did mention going to the gym. How did you assume his athleticism? You are hating on the guy. This is blue pill.

I will skip to your TLDR.

Skinny fat male (5’10 at 175) with minimal lifting experience (who told you that?) and lack of athletic background (assumptions not backed up to prove a point does not make it stronger) completely DESTROYED his girlfriend (he just won a wrestling match bro).

The original post is interesting. Your title is interesting.

Your post is dreadful. Your post is bad content.

[–]PepeTheElder28 points29 points  (0 children) | Copy

Yeah pretty spergy too, no social IQ. Even rats “understand” the social interaction of play fighting. Larger rat will let the smaller rat win 40% of the time instead of 0% for the sake of continuing play.

There was a local self defense for women instructor in my area that had gotten a bit of fame locally.

Her videos got uploaded to our local sub and I pointed out that she was being way too quick to try and take the fight to the ground.

That this could be really dangerous for someone that doesn't know what they are doing for obvious reasons.

1) You won't be able to bring down a 6ft 200 lbs plus but in one move.

2) She actually had plenty of leg muscles from triathlon training but her pupils didn't and would not be able to pin and dominate on the ground.

3) someone could have a knife in them and by putting your whole body on them your leaving yourself exposed to knife attack.

I was down voted to hell and call all kinds of things. I just think that her training was going to get someone hurt if used in real street fighting but I'm the bad guy for pointing out the weak points in her strategy.

[–]Nicolas06312 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

Man. Street fighting is going to get anybody hurt. This isnt like in movies.

Real fighting is dangerous. If you wip their ass today, they come tomorrow with bro, guns & knifes.

If you do lot of street fights, you end up killed, injured or in jail. Likely to be combination of all 3 over time.

With you usually athletic banter we ended up setting up a 5 on 5 game in the open gym with 4 or my teammates and 4 of hers. She was the 6/7th player on the team but she elisted their top 4. I grabbed who was around and one of the guys happened to be a second team all state point guard in high school. The rest of us were college athlete but not really big hoop guys. It was brutal. They quit at 18-3. Their PG couldn’t put it on the ground without getting picked. They couldn’t rebound. We were sloppy but when you get 80% of the rebounds it doesn’t matter. They regularly practiced against guy managers but the guys were all under 6’0 and were going 1/2 to 3/4 speed. You could see their faces were sinking and they grasped the gap. We had this goofy, gangly 6’5 relief pitcher that 360 dunked and they just walked off.

[–]BumblingBeta0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

125lbs is usually maulnojrished for a male. It's not malnourished for a female.

If the 125lb guy is a boxer or something, he would destroy her. If he isn't, I'd still bet on him. Testosterone is just too strong of a drug.

I know a 5’10 French, Parisian girl (who fits the stereotype of being loud, obnoxious and arrogant) who’s been doing tae kwon do for AT MOST 1 year. (Also a feminist).

She thinks she can beat up random men: even saying she could beat up me: 86kg 5’10 male who lifts. I just joked “go on then, beat me up”.

I tried explaining that strength can just over power whatever little technique she has and that strength does also matter but she didn’t get it: she also believed her training strengthened her so much so that she could stand toe to toe with other men just in strength.

I think girls who do martial arts (and perhaps anything physically intensive) even for a limited amount of time get this sudden but unfounded sense of arrogance and strength and think they can now go round beating up people taller, heavier and stronger than them.

Or maybe this girl just really fits the Parisian type of just being arrogant.

[–]Sumsar010 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

People in general dont understand strength. People always focus on cardio.

[–]BumblingBeta0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Yeah but that's because 86kg at 5'10 is pretty big. What if you were only 125lb. If a man was 125lbs and completely untrained, could he still overpower a 170lb female college athlete?

[–]1maverick97594 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy

This reminds of my school days.. There was this basketball player, extremely fit. Thicc would be a better word in fact. I used to be a scrawny kid, she was definitely heavier than me. She challenged me up for arm wrestling. I let my knuckle almost touch the table and yet she couldn't finish me. Then from that position I instantly finished her off. Lmao the face of her entire female squad of athletes.

[–]_370HSSV_5 points6 points  (2 children) | Copy

Had almost the same thing happen to me. I'm 185cm, 80kg i do boxing and lift. My friend is like 155cm and 45-55kg, she is in martial arts and challanged me to a fight. You can guess how it went, i didn't even use 40% of my strenght because if i hit her hard i'm going to jail for murder. When i let her hit me she said ow, you're hard. Feminism is destroying women's perception of men, somehow they think we're weak and dumb.

[–]BumblingBeta1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy

Yeah but that's because you're almost twice her weight so that will obviously happen. What if the man in the OP was 50lbs lighter? If the man was 125lbs and completely untrained, could he still overpower this 170lb female college athlete?

So she's a volleyball player but assumed she'd out wrestle him just because she plays volleyball?

If she had BJJ experience and he didn't she'd probably wipe the floor with him. Volleyball and wrestling don't really have transferable skills though.

[–][deleted] 21 points22 points  (1 child) | Copy

She assumed she would win because she is a college athlete, so likely has a very strict regiment which involves lifting, whereas he is not that athletic.

Anyone with BJJ experience will wipe the floor with an untrained person in a no strikes grapple, of course. Not sure what the point there is.

She could be a gymnast, swimmer, handball player or soccer player... whatever it may be, and she'd still lose to an average guy despite that athletic ability and size.

[–]Darkone060 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Out of all the different types of girls you listed I think the one that would have the biggest advantage would be soccer.

You would have stronger leg muscle and be able to take more attacks on your legs.

Still I don't see the strongest female soccer player being able to spar anywhere near the average male.

[–]BhiQ421 point2 points  (30 children) | Copy

Personally doubt it, I found those techniques quite useless in the past. Yes, there are some pretty nice holds that you can hold a much heavier opponent in. But if your opponent just locks his joints in place and isn't weaker than you, I haven't seen it work ever.

Strength, length of arms, mass ... that shit is too important. Yeah, if you execute your technique right you stand a small chance, but if you don't it's an automatic loss.

Edit: Holy shit , what is it with the white knighting? Or the BJJ fanboy'ing? Obviously any martial art that wants to take shit to the ground is completely useless in a real fight because you're hardly ever alone in a fight. That's why martial arts like Krav Maga exist. BJJ may be a little more useful than JJ or Judo but still, it's just not made for real fights.

[–][deleted] 13 points14 points  (8 children) | Copy

That just isn't true at all. Join a BJJ class. You'll find even 5ft men with experience dominate 6 footers

Edit: it won't work if an opponent just "locks his joints in place"? That really is one of the most stupid things I've heard in a while.

As a person who has done judo/bjj for 5 years now religiously, I can say that strength and technique are two sides of the same coin. Excess of strength can make up for a lack in technique and vice versa, but both are just as important. There is a reason why weight divisions exist. That said, as a 150 lb 5'10'' guy, I find myself reguarly tapping out bigger guys, like 230+lb dudes with years of experience. So it's not set in stone.

[–]Zech4riah4 points5 points  (15 children) | Copy

Yup, the difference is significant. When I started BJJ it took me 3kk of practise to win purple belt women in my bjj gym...or that was the first time I first sparred with them. Dont know if I could have won even earlier.

To their defense I was bulked up 240lbs back then and they were around 165lbs. They had no chance when Ive gotten down basic mat movement and few basic locks/chokes and not do stupid mistakes.

Against similar weight purple belt men I had no chance until I had trained about 1,5-2 years and even then I couldnt win but the sparring was somewhat toe to toe.

Ofc there is also technique involved here so strengthwise you cant do direct comparisons.

[–][deleted] 11 points12 points  (14 children) | Copy

BJJ has very specific rules.

You might get rekt by purple belt women on the mats, but if strikes or kicks were allowed and it becomes MMA, you would easily win if you actually tried.

Sometimes i think BJJ also gives false confidence. How many women walk around thinking they can destroy untrained guys just because they do it in class with highly specific rules? Allow strikes and kicks and the guy would win.

Your Male physiology becomes more relevant when strikes are allowed. It's why you never see intergender striking, whereas its not uncommon to see intergender grappling.

[–]Zech4riah5 points6 points  (7 children) | Copy

Yup, but just to be clear. My point here was that i could beat a purple belt woman but I didnt have a chance against purple belt men of the same weight class. I just couldnt overpower them with pure strength and mass even tho I had 60lbs over them.

But yeah, I somewhat agree with you when it comes to striking. Alltho purple belt woman will destroy an average sized guy in grappling anytime. Obviosly I wasnt an average guy when I started bjj because of my size and I had background of years in sports, martial arts and lifting.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points  (6 children) | Copy

Point understood.

Guys your own size who are trained will always beat women who are trained.

Yeah they would beat an average guy in grappling for sure. But if strikes are allowed, I'd favour the average guy on the street. There was that scientific report on reddit a few weeks ago which found that the average guy punches 162% harder than the average woman, including female athletes.

If she cross trained some striking art though, then I'd favour her. But with just BJJ, I wouldn't.

[–]Zech4riah2 points3 points  (5 children) | Copy

Yeah, btw what does that 162% mean:

Woman punches with a power of 1.00 and a guy punches 1.62...or 2.62?

EDIT: Funny that someone actually downvoted this. It depends of the context what's the answer and personally I have no clue if average dude hits almost twice or almost thrice harder than a woman of similar weight.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

He punches 2.62x harder.

[–]BlackendLight0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

I'd say 2.62 but I have to see the study

[–]UniverseCatalyzed-5 points-4 points  (5 children) | Copy

"I don't train for the gym, I train for the streets" yeah sure dude. A woman with a purple belt in BJJ from a good gym will submit 95%+ of untrained men in the street or elsewhere. The whole point of BJJ is the use of leverage and technique to level the playing field between smaller and heavier opponents. Furthermore many BJJ techniques like armbars can play to women's natural advantages of strong legs and asses and lower centers of gravity. Purple belt women vs untrained man, I'll bet on the woman 9 times out of 10.

And FYI if you're in a ring or enclosed space with a purple belt BJJ practicioner and you think you can keep them off you through

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (4 children) | Copy

A guy who is a purple belt? Sure. I'd bet on him. But a woman? I'll bet on the guy.

Men punch far harder than women and have longer arms. 99% of women who train BJJ ain't gonna train strikes. And the ones that do, ain't gonna be doing sparring with strikes..

It's not "average man vs purple belt", its average man vs woman.

Your video is also nonsense. That's an MMA fighter. She likely trains strikes and has fought dudes in sparring who punch her. Most female purple belts who only train BJJ, will not be prepared for punches, let alone punches from a man.

A Brazillian female MMA fighter is not the same aa American Stacey who has a purple belt in BJJ. The latter is atypical of most american female purple belts and she likely hasn't trained striking. She's the all american girl who wins BJJ comps and doesn't do real MMA sparring.

If you think your local female BJJ purple belt can avoid a punch from a bigger guy without any strike training, you're delusional.

So GTFO with that BP feminist nonsense.

[–]UniverseCatalyzed1 point2 points  (3 children) | Copy

Big guys punch significantly harder than small guys but if that small guy knows BJJ and the other guy doesn't, they're going to get destroyed. See: early UFC for proof. "I punch harder" doesn't make a difference if somebody else's strategy is to come in low, get their arms around your waist, drag you to the ground, and strangle you to death, which is all BJJ is.

This just reeks of somebody who hasn't ever fought in a competitive or real-life context. If somebody wants to take an untrained or even a trained person down, especially if that somebody is a BJJ purple belt who actually studies self-defense takedowns, they're going to do it.

You have this narrative that men > women in all scenarios. This is simply not always the case. The fundamental purpose of Gracie self-defense is to use the physics of leverage and skill to overcome opponents who are bigger and stronger than you are. Join a BJJ gym. It might help with your humility :)

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy

Again, there's a big difference between a small man and a woman. A small man is still far stronger and more durable than a woman of the same size. Men have more dense muscles and twitch muscle fibers, so they can tank punches.

That small guy who does BJJ? I'd bet on him to tank punches and then take the guy down. But a woman? A punch could kill her. Men already punch 2.62x harder than women, couple the fact that men have longer arms and are faster, he is going to land a punch.

Most fights go to the ground, but most in most fights punches are thrown BEFORE they get to the ground. A woman who trains BJJ and nothing else isn't equipped to deal with that.

Using early UFC as proof is dog shit. Firstly, it's not relevant because nobody here is arguing striker > grappler. I'm well aware of grappler > stiker. What I'm arguing is that men > women, especially if that woman has never trained striking.

How is a woman going to "get low" and take a guy down without getting hit? She's going to get tagged with punches before bringing a guy down. A guy could tank those punches, but a woman likely couldn't.

Also, why do you keep posting links of women beating men in grappling? Nobody here is arguing that women can't out grapple men. Learn to read. The argument is that women are FAR more vulnerable to strikes than men are

Here is Lucia Rjiker, the world's greatest undefeated female kick boxer, getting KTFO by a no name man.

Women are less durable against punches and kicks. A woman who has never trained strike defence isn't gonna not get punched at least once or twice. A woman who is an MMA fighter ? Sure I'd bet on her against the average guy. But if shes a chick who only does BJJ comps (i.e. the majority), she's gonna lose.

I've also trained MMA, and been in real fights, so I know what I'm talking about. You just seem to be a BJJ nerd.

Gracie BJJ is also not well equipped to help prepare a woman for a striking man. The only way to truly learn how to avoid punches from a man is to cross train contact sparring in either boxing, muay thai or kick boxing. You cannot just learn how to avoid punches with drills.

[–]UniverseCatalyzed-1 points0 points  (1 child) | Copy

If you're in MMA you should know striking your way out of a takedown doesn't work. You need a sprawl or other more advanced takedown defenses because bare hands lose to bull rushes almost every time. Especially bare hands - if you hit somebody on the top of their head while their chin is tucked and they're charging into you, your hand is going break, their skull isn't. Your tiny finger bones lose vs skull plates, male or female.

I'm not really here to try to reason you out of positions you didn't reason yourself into. You are convinced the random untrained man can outfight a woman with 5-7 years (assuming purple belt) of experience in one of the most effective martial arts on Earth that specializes in leveling the playing field against bigger and stronger opponents. To me, that isn't rational, and anecdotally speaking I see random untrained men (or "trained on the street" lmao) get their asses handed to them by women 75% of their size almost every day.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Did I say you can "strike your way out of a takedown"?

I said that in most fights, punches are thrown BEFORE takedowns occur. Fights start standing up and then go to the ground.

You basically have no idea what you're talking about. A woman who trains pure BJJ and nothing else is training a sport. Is it completely ineffective? No, of course not...

But BJJ removes strikes and slams, two important and game changing forms of attacks that absolutely are affected by your size and biological sex.

Tell me, how can a woman who has never trained strikes in full contact sparring, avoid a strike from a man who has longer arms? The average man is at least 5 to 6 inches taller than most women and has longer wing span.

BJJ is effective against larger opponents , but only to an extent. It's not a guaranteed be all end all. There's a reason why pure BJJ doesn't work in MMA anymore. 90% of MMA fighters cross train striking and grappling.

Also, you keep bringing up larger men losing to women. Nobody here is denying that larger untrained men lose to women in pure BJJ rolls. But once you allow strikes and slams, that simply isn't the case anymore. There's a reason why inter gender grappling is far more common than inter gender MMA. Once striking is allowed, it's far too dangerous to allow inter gender matches.

The argument is simple. A small BJJ guy will absolutely beat an untrained larger guy. He will take the guy down, and get hit a few times.

But a trained woman? She likely can't take those same punches unless she has proficient strike training. Women can't handle punches and kicks as well, evidenced by science and the fight whereby Lucia Rjiker got KTFO by a no name male.

The BJJ purple belt girl who wins BJJ competitions and has never trained MMA or any other striking is gonna be in for a rude awakening when a guy strikes her. She will get taken out.

But a female MMA fighter who has trained striking and grappling proficiently? Sure, she fucks up the average guy in a street fight. But a BJJ girl who just does competitions and no striking? She won't overcome the biological difference.

Failing a shit test man. Proving your strength or whatever is a no go. Smirk and move on, tease her that she's weak. If you regularly go to the gym and lift heavy, and she knows it, you don't need to prove shit. Makes your ego feel good

[–]throwlaca1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Women get shocked, sometimes literally, when they realize how much stronger a weak man is.

But want to get shocked yourself? Wrestle against somebody that lift. Or a Judo/JiuJitsu amateur. Blue-Belt, the second lowest belt, go ahead, choose a skinny one.

He not only will beat you, he will do it while not even breathing heavily. Take it easy, you could injure yourself, vomiting from the effort is common.

The difference in strength and endurance between a trained man and a non-trained skinny-fat man, is the same or bigger than the difference between a man and a women. You won't believe how stronger you can get with training.

She's 5"11

Fun Fact: Height is a huge indicator of high sexual submission in females. HUGE. It kicks in at 5'7" - 5'8" and by 5'10" is a lock.

At that point she seemed confused and things got a bit awkward. "Confused" means that she's realised what she's been told is a complete lie.

That and she's probably trying to figure out why she's suddenly so horny.

Pro Tip: Never let your girlfriend win at wrestling. They don't really want to. All my girls are sexually submissive. A couple of them like to "wrestle" me but they understand that, to me, they are little kittens. They just like being dominated by a strong, desired male. So when I pin them, or lock their wrists using only three fingers, they get all moist and say, huskily, "So now I guess you can do whatever you want with me." Girls can be a tough read, but some signals are LARGE PRINT.

She’s not an athlete because she does volleyball. That’s cardio; she probably doesn’t have massive strength gains through that.

But bro my gym has women out lifting men all the time. If she trained harder than him to be stronger she could easily pin him down. Overall men have potential to be much stronger, but you’re pushing a narrative with this post that doesn’t really prove anything. Making him look weaker than he probably is, making her seem stronger than she is. Who cares about this guys dumb post in the first place.

Women have, on average 60% of the upper body strength of men. If your gym has "women outlifting men all the time" then you are going to the world's most statistically fucked up gym.

With the exception of a few small beginning males, there are not going to be any men that are being outlifted by women.

I was big into weightlifting for well over a decade. I went to the gym every day. I never saw women outlifting men. I saw plenty of women that lifted weights and were in great shape, but they would bench, squat, etc... much less than any guy there.

I remember one woman that was a major gym rat, and was stacked for a woman. The most she could bench press was the bar with a 45lb disk on each side. That is beginner stuff for guys.

[–]dimmy6669 points10 points  (0 children) | Copy

What kind of gym do you go to? Lol

Often at my gym I see those female bodybuilder types, with huge butts and deep voices that reveal they are clearly not natty, and they squat... 70kg. 80 something kg was the most I've seen a woman squat. Hell, my 5'8" ass could squat that amount in my 3rd month of training.

Let's not even touch bench press...

[–][deleted] 33 points34 points  (1 child) | Copy

If you play Volleyball at a College level, you are in fact an athlete, just a collegiate one. D1 athletes have to undergo strength training as part of their routine, even the female athletes. This involves lifting.

The point is she could be a gymnast, swimmer, soccer player or whatever, and she would still lose without self defence training to the average guy.

I've rarely seen women outfit guys at the gym. What gym do you go? Lol. Every gym I've been to usually has guys lifting way more.

[–]Fistlegs0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

No matter how much a woman trains, her bones and ligaments will remain frail as fuck. It's a fucking joke even entertaining the idea of female fighters when you can just grab a woman's wrist squeeze/twist it and it's fucking over.

[–]zUltimateRedditor0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

That’s why BJJ was invented as an equalizer. But in a fair fight... the result is obvious.

And if the guy knows BJJ too... well... that girl is screwed.

[–]txcbfcts2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

That’s why BJJ was invented as an equalizer.

The thing is that martial arts are supposed to be about the strong utilizing techniques in order to beat the stronger. When they start claiming that weaklings can easily beat the strong, martial arts become a fraud. This mentality is sadly very pervasive.

It is very easy to injure a woman. Female wrists/forearms, pelvis and knees are incredibly fragile and don’t get any sturdier with training (not without anabolic steroids anyway). A woman can’t equalize a man squeezing her wrist into a pulp or kicking her in the pelvis/knee or kneeing her in the ribs.

But in a fair fight... the result is obvious.

The only fighting advantage women have over men is that most men tend to be reluctant to hurt them. If the man is an equal rights/equal lefts type of guy, the woman is fucked unless she is an extreme outlier.

[–]Monitorul0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

To be fair a few years ago a fat friend of mine with moobs beat me at an armwrestle even though I was in the gym and fit, but he was taller and heavier than me. Call it a cope but I think his technique was better than mine as well

[–]mikesteane4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy

Arm wrestling doesn't really prove anything. A slight difference in arm length or starting position makes a huge difference because the muscles that make the movement are really quite small. A tiny adjustment means that far bigger muscles, like the biceps and pecs can be brought into play, and these can easily overpower the small and weak shoulder muscles that were designed to make the twisting motion required.

How sad that reading this I’m so scared that this young man will get an assault charge just because of his GIRLFRIENDS delusion. And no joke I’m half way through dreading that this dude is in the college office getting disciplined and the title 9 section of the college handbook read to him.

The average man doesn’t weigh 125lb and the average female college athlete isn’t 170lb.

To answer your question, did you miss the point of the post?

This thread made me remember when Dana White and Ronda Rousey were pushing to try and arrange a fight against Floyd Mayweather.

They asked Floyd if he was interest in the fight and he replied "Ronda Rousey? I've never heard of him"

Em, why you suddenly assume that he just was in a gym only a few times? Many guys who actively lift weights still stay skinny fat even after bench press 100kg or more. Have you ever seen powerlifters? Many of them are far from being ripped.

If he is skinny fat at 80kg then he isn't really a "small" guy and his height is a little bit above average as well. In comparison, his girl is very tall and big (for a girl), so she probably still can win the untrained guy who is less than 60kg or just fat without any training. Still doesn't change the fact that at the same level of training and weight women are much weaker physically, but it doesn't mean that any man is stronger than any woman.

now if she actually knew how to wrestle this would be a much different story. when i first started reading I thought she was just the worst wrestler on the team or something, but actually shes a fat volleyball player who's never heard of testosterone...

Now I'm not a big guy. I'm about 5"10 and 175lbs. I'm skinny fat basically.

Being 5'10 tall and 175 lbs makes you overweight and not skinny fat. Maybe he lifts weights and maybe he has decent amount of muscle. Who knows?

Of course, this little factoid doesn't take it away that she got her ass handed out to her by her bf within seconds.

meh i am 5.10 about 175 a little belly fat but still can bench 225

You haven't demonstrated how this correlates to feminism. Sounds like it has nothing to do with feminism and everything to do with the fact she thought she would always win because he continuously let her win.

She was surprised at his strength. The thread is full of 900+ comments from women who while admitting the strength difference, also admit just how surprised they were at the strength difference when they found out against their own boyfriends/male friends. This is the work of feminism.

But I seem it in the cartoons though!

I'm calling bullshit. I'm a christian, Republican, trump supporter, rugby player. I am not the typical redditor at all. But I know some rugby 5'10" girls who would destroy a typical guy.

This seems super made up to make OP feel better since he got his ass whooped by a chick.

Down vote me if you’d like, but why would you need to assert your dominance on your girlfriend during wrestling. You’re the man, you’re the strong one, it personally just sounds insecure to me.

[–]psychoduckly4 points5 points  (1 child) | Copy

Have you not read the entire OP?

[–]dominicthetiger1 point2 points  (2 children) | Copy

You have to do that from time to time, even if just to prove a point. Just so she knows who's in charge. That's leadership 101.

[–]Corruption46-3 points-2 points  (1 child) | Copy

So you’re asserting dominance by wrestling your girlfriend and pinning her.

Your girlfriend is not a guy, you don’t need to assert dominance on her constantly. If you did everything right, she knows your dominant and the one in charge. It personally sounds like a douche move to me.

[–]cb_3240 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

He always holds back and when he holds back a little bit less and beats her he is somehow a “douche” and “trying to assert dominance” fuck off he just got her out of her feminist bubble

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
