Holy sweet murphy, I am glad I got out when I did and Japan was a cucked shithole back then to circa 2005. It appears to have gotten far worse then I could have possibly envisioned.

Doesn't really bother me if they let girls wear pants instead of skirts, especially in the winter. I'd be annoyed if they let the boys have the option to wear skirts though

Huh this is surprising. Gendered stuff is still a massive thing here and trannies/gender identity is pretty much non existent on a political level (we have trannies but no one dares call for rights for them, we don't even have ratified gay marriage lol). That being said I can't imagine many girls will actually go for this - JKs here love their skirts and make a point to wear them as short as possible, this is even more so in rural prefectures than big cities.

If they do all end up switching to trousers though then fuck it just nuke the country again. Tbh we have started down the path of the West sadly. When you've lived here long enough you realise Japan's business plan is basically "copy what Western countries do but do it 20-30 years later". I'm basically hoping that the West collapses and goes to shit before we get too clown worldy. Why I'm a big proponent of accelerationism.
