It seems like “improving oneself” is seen as exclusively a male thing, something only men are capable of or capable of seeing results from- at least according to the manosphere. Self improvement is never even given as an option for women.

For example, after reading that alpha widow thread, my immediate response was that the woman should improve herself so that she’s able to get men like her ex or better. I looked for similar responses in the comment section but nobody said it. Everyone pretty much agreed that women in that situation are fucked and that they have zero options of ever getting what they want. I found that super interesting because if a man in that situation was being discussed, everyone would immediately tell him to lift/mew/eat better/take care of himself more/get a better haircut/get a better job etc.

So what does this mean? Is improving oneself exclusive to men? If so, why?
