Ranting here:
Summary: while ive seen pretty and ugly ladies do their technical job very very well, a pretty woman will always have more chances in a work enviroment (and anywhere) than anyone else.
Body: working in a highly technical enviroment I've seen that if as a man you cant keep the pace, good luck on life pal, you are out.
If as an unattractive woman you cant carry your weight, people will maybe have more patience towards you but even so good luck and farewell, have a nice job hunting.
Now, if you are a pretty woman and dedicate yourself to flirt with everyone it doesnt matter if you are a terrible technician, if you dont meet the minimun requirements for the job, the uppers will have your back and someone will be asked (pushed) to do your work, and if someone complains, well, that someone is a pretentious prick. Even if you cant do shit at all you will be given an opportunity moving papers from side to side, doing whatever.
Lesson learned: hear what they say but see what they do and get from life. Women are not victims.
