Good evening all, been lurking here for awhile but never posted until now. I’ve been on reddit for a few years now, don’t mind my account age as I tend to enjoy going to various subs and shit posting to get a rise out of people and then start a new account once I’ve been banned from enough places.

Over the years I’ve seen a few different subs get quarantined because they weren’t in line with Reddit’s left wing bias, which was mild at first but has gotten much worse. Is it true that China essentially bought reddit? If that’s the case I can definitely see it’s effect, anyways...

This for me started when r/cringeanarchy and r/the_donald got banned. This really rubbed me the wrong way because I feel if reddit doesn’t want to be a platform for political ideologies then that as a company is there decision however it’s very hypocritical to deny those points of view but still allow r/politics, r/politicalhumor and r/worldpolitics which might as we be called r/hateamericacirclejerk1, 2, and 3. Whatever though, I thought, I’ll just bookmark TD and check it out from time to time. I mainly use Reddit mobile when I have downtime at work but not really at home on my PC, so I thought reddit is where I’ll just mainly go for memes and certain interests subs, r/wearethemusicmakers for instance as I dabble in audio production.

Then awhile back they banned a sub called r/waterniggas which was quite literally a sub for hydration enthusiast lol. People would boast about how much water they drink, the benefits and memes like “imagine drinking liquid sugar, made by water gang” type stuff. However they were banned most likely because of the name. I was really taken back by this. Is the general reddit community so childish and fragile that it can’t handle something that is clearly meant to be a joke for a sub about drinking lots of water? They reformed to r/hydrohomies but I was still pretty taken back. However subs like r/fragilewhiteredditor are ok? I don’t even know how r/gamersriseup is still around which is a sub making fun of mainstream media pushing a narrative that all gamers are racist and sexist, and how in turn gamers are actually the most oppressed minority, one big inside joke basically. r/holdmyfries was another casualty as it was focused on making fun of morbidly obese people and deemed a hate sub. God forbid someone not be told they are not perfect and that being 300+ pounds is not healthy and will lead to medical costs and a shorter life.

Then we come to r/mgtow, while I do not agree with everything that gets posted here I believe the overall message is good and something a lot of young men would benefit to hear, especially in an age of sad men throwing money at egirls just for them to read there screen name. I am one of the lucky ones in that I am married and our relationship is very healthy, she doesn’t do a lot of the stuff I see posted here. She doesn’t gold dig, doesn’t expect lavish luxury gifts on the regular, works a job to help with rent and bills and has been very loyal. She has been very good to me and helped me out when I was on hard times when she could have easily walked. After hearing some of the horror stories posted here and IRL I can definitely say that should we ever split it would be very sad and I will at that point go full mgtow. I’ll date casually and have fun but never a confirmed relationship and absolutely no marriage. I will be one of those guys in his 40s driving a sports car with a girl half his age in the passenger.

To sum it all up reddit, which used to be heralded as the front page of the internet, is quickly becoming a repressor of free speech and a platform for pushing wildly leftist ideologies in which any descent must be crushed and shunned. I would also like to say that not all females are evil succubi, I actually have a step sister who is finishing high school and during her time there I have been very interested in her romantic life to which she has shared and asked for advice and I have tried to be a positive male role model for her. She has had only two seriously boyfriends and was absolutely crushed when the first one broke it off. I think it is good for everyone to remember that social media and the internet as a whole while a good resource can distort one’s view on reality when viewed in excess. I wanted to cite some more sub cancellations and flesh the post out more but this is the general idea, plus I’ve been on the toilet for far longer than usual and the missesmight be getting worried lolI appreciate anyone who reads this, have a great weekend gentlemen.

TLDR: Reddit’s restriction on free speech is becoming worse and worse. Maybe this is a byproduct of any platform becoming more and more mainstream but if it continues it will no longer be for me and I will have to go elsewhere for memes and discussion
