They should just open source the code to some degree. I would spend a few hours here and there looking over a private repo on gitlab or bitbucket. They give private repos for free where github charges for it.

One problem is that TRP is probably more full of salesmen, servicemen, tradesmen, people person kinds of professions whereas the bp/leftists have scores of top notch IT professionals in their ranks.

[–]NULLx5397 points8 points  (4 children) | Copy

I dont get why we shouldnt open source it. Even if we have like just 10-20 App Developer, we could find way more bugs than without them. Its a non-compiled language, they can easily reverse it anyway.

@Auxfite @redpillschool if there is any need for additional code review and/or some help just dm me. And im probably not the only person who would help out in their spare time

Ok, is written in php right? It's forum functionality is nothing new or complicated. I'm a developer and would love to review the code for it. I'm willing to bet it doesn't break the 5,000 line mark. If there were a few of us reading and reviewing pull requests I'm very confident we could keep it free from any application level vulnerabilities.

[–]Modredpillschool[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

I'm putting together a forum for us now.

[–]destraht0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

This is why the source code should be in a private repo so that several reddish dorks like myself can look at it. I don't need push access if I can make pull requests.

[–]ThePantsThief1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

I have unlimited private repos. I make iPhone apps, and I would love to help make this happen.

[–]1empatheticapathetic1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Sad it’s come to this

[–]Modredpillschool[S] 40 points41 points  (2 children) | Copy

Let's do it. Reach out to me on PM

If you guys need some security guidance, I can provide some expertise in that area.

I own a application development company, and we could help w backend. PM me!

[–]bouldurer12 points13 points  (0 children) | Copy

Let's make this App open source so the rest of us can help out too!

Keep us posted

[–]twofones0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Yes. I was wondering who the right person was to contact about this

[–]IamGonnaChangeMyself18 points19 points  (3 children) | Copy

Share on github so others can collaborate

[–]NULLx5390 points1 point  (2 children) | Copy

we should __not__ use Github. Why the fck should we use a non self hosted platform while we explicitly want to be safe from any kind of takedown?

We could mirror it, tho

[–]ThePantsThief1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

It's perfectly fine to use GitHub. Having it taken down doesn't mean we can't put it back up somewhere else.

If we make it a private repo, it probably won't get taken down.

[–]robodylan1232 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy

Hey, so I wrote a quick script today to pull the top 1000 posts and put them in JSON format. Threw together a site to make it readable, which is currently running at I have about 5MB of submission data currently. I'm looking into other ways to pull more data since the API has become more and more restrictive. If anyone has any ideas for pulling the entire subreddit PM me. I'm looking at's API atm.

[–]i4mn301 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Scraping would be better. Fuck Reddit APIs

[–]universalabundance11 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Come on, you know we would.

Please make one!!

You should make a post to all brothers here and recruit people to help you make it.

[–]rigbed1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

What about a mentor network

[–]FullOfShiznit0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

If it would be open source and on github then yes

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

You'd have to disguise the name. Apple and Google Play would ban it if they found out who we were.

[–]andreyeurope0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

I can also join if needed, maybe we can me our own REDdit. I would love seeing all the all posts and everything.

It requires the signatures of many people in order to have an effect though and for admins to at least reconsider. And this isn't a local TRP-only petition, it's site-wide, as not many people agree with how a sub is evaluated for quarantine.

A lot of people are eager to jump ship to, but the sub's existence here has the greatest visibility and potential to reach out to blue-pilled men who are going to need it someday like we did.

[–]immibis2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

1 hour boycotts do absolutely jacker shit.

I would have gone for like a 4-hour boycott.

[–]Grimsterr13 points14 points  (2 children) | Copy

Did you say a 1 day boycott? I am sure I heard boycott for 1 day.

[–]Modredpillschool[S] 6 points7 points  (6 children) | Copy

1 hour is easily doable and sends a message. We're not breaking reddit, we're just sending a message.

[–]hrm08943 points4 points  (1 child) | Copy

I get the idea, but they already know we're displeased. Go to the announcements sub and everytime they talk about censoring subs they get massive downvotes.

The point of boycotts is to hurt businesses by not associating with their product(s). 1 hour of not using reddit won't do anything since they know we're going to be back.

In order for businesses to grow, they need to target the largest demographic that supports them--in this case, mainstream users. They don't give a fuck about us.

[–]HeadingRed0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Considering some of the truly creepy subs out there - just check out one of the "tell me about some of the wierd subreddits" askreddit posts - you would think we would still be down the list.

It's amazing that we have no porn, no violence and still get shit.

[–]sebastianconcept4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy

They don’t care. They are too much intoxicated by SJW culture. Platform migration is the only way.

Reddit's management aren't going to change their behavior. So unless we can either buy the company's shares out from under them, or mount the kind of effective mass boycott campaign that Gamergate has sometimes done (and there aren't anywhere near enough of us to make either of these scenarios plausible), I don't see any solution but to walk out.

[–]David94922 points23 points  (0 children) | Copy

If is a true replacement for Reddit then there needs to be a mobile app. I’m not sure if something like the antenna app could be modified to view but that would be awesome
As far as a statement I think it would have to be a boycott for an entire day

[–]eyewant12 points13 points  (1 child) | Copy

I signed. But like others in this thread, I think this is a bad idea. If you're having relationship problems with your gf, you don't announce that you're leaving the house for an hour.

You do what we have always been doing, working on someone else,

[–]i4mn307 points8 points  (0 children) | Copy

Damn right, fucking next the cunt. Here the cunt is Reddit.

[–]TigerXtrm9 points10 points  (0 children) | Copy

Your mistake here was making this petition in name of TRP. Should have kept it neutral, spread it around Reddit and then it might have had some effect. Now it's just 1 already quarantined sub throwing a tantrum with a useless petition. People will not sign it even if they agree with the cause, simply because it was TRP that started it. Petty, but true.

Also, a 1 hour boycott? Are you joking? You think a site the size of Reddit gives a single shit if a few hundred people don't use it for an hour? It'll barely register on traffic charts. Hell, it'll probably fall within margin of error on any graph they make.

[–]NeverbuyfromSamsung8 points9 points  (2 children) | Copy

Has ever achieved anything?

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

It's allowed the mental representation of a swift insertion of a dick into whoever signs it's chosen orifices.

[–]myshl0ng2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy

What's the big deal. You can post and read, so what's the problem.

[–]newName5434561 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

...for now.

[–]victor_knight2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

Doesn't Reddit have like 300 million active users or something now?

[–]Dawnguards4 points5 points  (1 child) | Copy

The worst thing is we dont even know who exactly quarantined this forum..

> INB4: The Red Pill Subreddit was removed from Google Search index.

[–]Sigma-Angel_of_Death1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

One hour isn't enough. I'd boycott for a whole day or even a week.

[–]2kevin322 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

u/redpillschool, the target decision maker for the petition says "reddit-admin" which does not exist and fewer eyes will see. It should be to "Reddit": change(dot)org/decision-makers/reddit

Also, here's a bullshit response as to how a sub is evaluated for quarantine.

[–]Opioidus3 points4 points  (1 child) | Copy

The problem with boycotts is, they are a great way to witness how little your fellow humans have in the way of principles, the extent of their web of self-deception and lack of awareness, and how readily they will throw their own self-interests and the interests of their tribe (and specifically YOU) under the bus in pursuit of the blue pills you're asking them to boycott.

It's like intervening in a domestic fight between strangers; suddenly they unite against YOU, the new bad guy.

[–]supremelummox0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Not sure how popular crypto is in here, but why not put the forum content on the Bitcoin blockchain, so that it can't be deleted, even by government force? It costs about $0.0001 per 200 characters on BCH through

[–]TinyManufacturer0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Noon would have been a better time IMO. I suspect they won't see much different in numbers since 4-5 is when a lot of people leave from work anyway.

Everyone browses during lunch. Although I think a weekend or full day would have maximum affect.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
