Love or hate Paul (I know there's a variety of opinions here on what he gets right and what he gets wrong) this is an important thing that he's doing here. MRAs could take a lesson or two from this.

Now, usually in true feminist appeasement fashion, even supporters must first denounce TRP before defending it. Paul does this to an extent but in a different way. He says this is a place of unplugging and therefore a lot of anger and that he no longer needs a place like this. But he would have at one point.

Paul understands that unplugging makes you angry. He understands that men need that transition and a place to blow off steam as part of his development. He understands that you don't necessarily have to agree with men to defend their freedoms.

Paul has won some serious respect from me. I don't really agree with a lot of his approach to things but that guy has conviction and he's got a good compass, and it's something that the guys on /r/mensrights could learn from.

If you stand idly by as you watch men get silenced, just remember there will be nobody left to help when they come for you.

Right now is the time to understand that despite our differences, men have more to lose fighting each other than standing together.

MGTOW, MRA, GAMERGATE, ETC. It's time to set our differences aside to make sure there's a way in the future for our sons to communicate.

That's exactly what we're doing with Forums.Red and TRP.RED.

In other news, we are working diligently to bring BIG updates to forums.red, including opening the forums VERY SOON. We've been putting those donation dollars to work, here's a sneak peek of what we've been working on behind the scenes. To answer questions here are details on what else is coming:

  • Fully functional API for app developers
  • Site will be Mobile friendly
  • Developers forum for continued work
  • Moderation tools for other forums who are going to be joining our life raft.

If you want to help, the dev forum will be announced soon, or you can donate on our patreon or with bitcoin: 1Hyyva2G5aCJwNqYToGoCCGATVNMB81zk7

If Redpill forums move from Reddit, then there is no reason I will read Reddit any more. I only come to Reddit for Redpill forums.

Not a boycott of Reddit at all, just a statement of where I will be spending my screen-time in the future.

Patreon is converged (SJW controlled), and has been pulling the plug on conservatives (as have its own funding sources, PayPal and Stripe). Both Andrew Torba (of gab.com) and Vox Day say they are working on substitute funds transfer site(s), but none has been unveiled yet.

I'll chime in that all of the major web cities are past the point of no return and should be written off for the foreseeable future. Its theoretically possible for non-ultra-left-wingers to found a new startup in these hives but as soon as they grow they will need to absorb a great deal of ultra cuckers and it will change them. Better off just starting somewhere else if that was something of importance not to do. I'm not proposing to go on a boycott of all Cuckland products but just to assume that as a rule they are cucks until proven manly.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

You got the bitcoin address right there, doesn't get more "uncucked" than decentralized currency.

[–]gELSK1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

// , I think they may accept crypto currency donations.

If these enhance accountability for how the money gets spent (Blockchains like those used by Bitcoin are, after all, public ledgers) then I would rate that above Patreon any day.

I like Paul. I don't agree with everything he says, but he taught me a big lesson about frame before I even found this subreddit. In one extended interview about how men got the shaft in the legal system, he said... "I can feel the anger welling up in my now as I speak about this."

I thought to my self... "Huh... whenever I get mad, my external expression always changes. He's hasn't changed the way he's speaking to the interviewer throughout the entire thing. Wow." That alone was enough of a life lesson from one person to make me respect them.

A big voice in the Men's Rights movement. Runs A Voice for Men (among other sites) and was featured in The Red Pill Movie.

In addition to what RPS said, he also introduced the manophere at large to the phrase The Red Pill in terms of unplugging and recognizing reality for what it is. It wasn't from the same context we approach it as he's more focused on men's rights, but we likely wouldn't have been as initially successful if he hadn't already gotten that ball rolling. Hell, a lot of our original readers and mods were brought in due to our activity in the seduction and men's rights subreddits.

I don't understand this observation Paul makes which I've seen thrown around elsewhere that this subreddit is just some anger-phase echo chamber. Posts that seem pointlessly angry at women are called out and dismissed by the broader community. People in asktrp are routinely reminded that undirected anger isn't ultimately a productive response. The sidebar and general alignment of this subreddit is in favor of calm, amoral practicality and unfiltered truth. There is constant debate about what that means and you always see a ton of different perspectives and argument in the comments, but the unifying focus is on improving ourselves.

I think what's really going on is projection. TRP heuristics like AWALT tend to be off-putting for new people and they feel a bit of anger/discomfort in response to seeing TRP for the first time, so they assume this must be a community built on anger. Obviously Paul isn't new to the concept of TRP. I think he is trying to be diplomatic and avoid alienating those (blue pilled) people who think TRP is just a bunch of angry guys but without totally throwing TRP under the bus.

I agree that his assessment of the sub is incorrect.

But he's addressing the straw man of our sub- what everybody else says we are. And he says "so what."

[–]LucidCunning3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy

^ This. Paul know better, but he also knows he can't be fully intellectually honest with the public and has to cater to their worldview, so he presents the case as, "Even IF this is how it is, what difference does it make?"

[–]Endorsed ContributorRuleZeroDAD2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

Paul is very good at practicing Law of Power 38.

His blind spot has always been his desire for a woman "to just get it" so she can be seen as an ally. Whether it's Christina Hoff Sommers in the past, or Cassie Jaye recently, his desire to garner favor through a female face always, always, always leads to the chick making the message about her.

This effort is akin to a pornstar trying to cross over into mainstream acting by surrounding herself with industry elites. No matter how many films an actress might do, once you suck a dick on camera, you'll always be known as a cocksucker.

[–]1User-31f64a4e0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

tbh I think the MGTOW sub is much, much angrier, followed by MRA. This is the least angry of the three.

Each of the three incorporates redpills to bring men to terms with reality, but the resulting strategies and goals are very different.

As to Paul's comment, he is probably making an excuse for anything the critics of trp might attack.

You gotta be careful with Paul Elam because his time in the therapy profession has made him internalize the liberal Feminist victimhood narative. Victimhood narative is a dominant theme in everything he does.

Paul Elam is the clear example of the Hegalian Master Slave Dialectic wherein the slave takes on the value system of the master and thus opresses himself.

An easy practical example of Hegalian Master Slave is black people bleaching their skin after internalizing European beauty standards.

When oppression is external: Whites whipping African slaves things are pretty obvious and it's easy to resist. However when opression is internalized and your a black trying to white-efy yourself Michael Jackson style there is no escape.

So in a sence Paul Elam is a Blue Pill painted Red and much worse than Feminism.

[–]spooky-1028 points9 points  (0 children) | Copy

You have women clothing store! didn't know that.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (5 children) | Copy

The problem with this logic is the hard verifiability when we are at the scope of political ideas with occult behavior, aka, values. We cannot know if it is Paul who is the slave and are adhering the feminist values, or is he the master and covertly signaling to the slaves what characteristics he want then to keep, while keeping your own core values. I.e. think of a heir who, in the moment to take the trone, use in the right hand the sword of the family, and in the left some symbol of the poor/oppressed of the nation. Who is master of who? If the new king was really the master, he didn't need to carry the symbol and the poor/oppressed are promoting covertly their own agenda, but if he is the master, he can carry the symbol to tell people who is the master, and is covertly telling the others what values he want the others to have.

In other words, is all about determining who is allowing what. You are being knocked over or preparing an ippon?

[–]Senior Contributor: "The Court Jester"GayLubeOil4 points5 points  (4 children) | Copy

Objectively Paul isn't the master of anyone or anything. He has less influence than a manager of a chain store.

[–]DeadliftRx0 points1 point  (3 children) | Copy

Careful now. No one is perfect, but it would be unwise to suggest that Elam has not influenced a tremendous amount of individuals and organizations, including this very forum.

I find your suggestion of HMSD quite interesting as it may very well promote the reasons I personally perceive him an outright misogynist - Which I don't blame him for since women are naturally destructive to men and our goals.

I believe men need Elam's messages as much as men need TRP. Two sides to the same die.

[–]Senior Contributor: "The Court Jester"GayLubeOil2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy

I'm personally too sexist to blame women for Feminism because doing so would imply their agency. I don't think women have agency.

I believe that feminism is a biproduct of the logic of Neoliberalism wherin everything is comodicised and transformed into an economic relationship.

Economic development has a linear relationship with Feminism. Therefore the problem isn't women or morals or whatever. The problem can be solved by moving to a less economically developed country.

[–]reyaan74 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy

The problem can be solved by moving to a less economically developed country.

I don't think so.

This happened in distance past and it'll happen in future, And the cycle repeats itself.

This is a conversation between King Pandu and his wife. This will give us a glimpse of how ancient societies had also encountered a similar problem-

"But I shall now tell thee about the practices of old indicated by illustrious Rishis, fully acquainted with every rule of morality. O thou of handsome face and sweet smiles, women formerly were not immured within houses and dependent on husbands and other relatives. They used to go about freely, enjoying themselves as best as they liked. O thou of excellent qualities, they did not then adhere to their husbands faithfully, and yet, O handsome one, they were not regarded sinful, for that was the sanctioned usage of the times. That very usage is followed to this day by birds and beasts without any (exhibition of) jealousy. That practice, sanctioned by precedent, is applauded by great Rishis. O thou of taper thighs, the practice is yet regarded with respect amongst the Northern Kurus. Indeed, that usage, so lenient to women, hath the sanction of antiquity. The present practice, however (of women's being confined to one husband for life) hath been established but lately. I shall tell thee in detail who established it and why.

"It hath been heard by us that there was a great Rishi of the name of Uddalaka, who had a son named Swetaketu who also was an ascetic of merit. O thou of eyes like lotus-petals, the present virtuous practice hath been established by that Swetaketu from anger. Hear thou the reason. One day, in the presence of Swetaketu's father a Brahmana came and catching Swetaketu's mother by the hand, told her, 'Let us go.' Beholding his mother seized by the hand and taken away apparently by force, the son was greatly moved by wrath. Seeing his son indignant, Uddalaka addressed him and said, 'Be not angry. O son! This is the practice sanctioned by antiquity. The women of all orders in this world are free, O son; men in this matter, as regards their respective orders, act as kine.' The Rishi's son, Swetaketu, however, disapproved of the usage and established in the world the present practice as regards men and women. It hath been heard by us, O thou of great virtue, that the existing practice dates from that period among human beings but not among beings of other classes. Accordingly, since the establishment of the present usage, it is sinful for women not to adhere to their husbands. Women transgressing the limits assigned by the Rishi became guilty of slaying the embryo. And, men, too, viol ting a chaste and loving wife who hath from her maidenhood observed the vow of purity, became guilty of the same sin. The woman also who, being commanded by her husband to raise offspring, refuses to do his bidding, becometh equally sinful." The Mahabharata,Book 1 adi parva

My take is that GLO is saying that this Paul guy is a Limited Hangout because he has internalized enemy blue pill ideas. I think that a Limited Hangout usually refers to someone purposely keeping people reeled in but I suppose it could work in a pinch in this case due to him "internalizing" his slave role. There is always great debate around anyone perceived to be a LH with some saying its good to get people into an idea somehow anyhow and others saying that the dangers associated with getting stuck part way are too great.

This has literally been the most helpful and interesting sub on this site, in its entire history. I don't come here for the "how to get girls" advice. I'm ok in that area. The stories from people with experience in life is why I come here. The ways to better yourself. The traps to look out for. How to get through all the bullshit. As a person that's lived quite a life now, I hope to help those younger than me not make the same mistakes I have. I hope to tell them what works for me and what hasn't. The simple things that makes all the other bullshit bearable

One thing I have always enjoyed even as a young teen, was listening to older people talk. Wisdom is our most precious resource. Listen to those that have lived through the shit and listen well. That doesn't mean to do everything they say. Actually listen. Listen to their story and examine their life. See what coincides with what they are saying. You will be able to discern what works and what doesn't by doing that.

Never more in this country has there been a need for a place for young men and men in general. The suicide rates, addiction and general low self esteem is so disheartening. I've been through it all, and it's so needless. It's fucking poison and it fucking infuriates me that no one gives a shit. This place is like the library of Alexandria of reddit. We all know what happened to that though...

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

I want to thank this subreddit for introducing me to the book "The Manual - What women want and how to give it to them"

Tonight I went out to a local Walmart and one of the points emphasized is to be dominant and practice confidence (Even if you have to fake it to you make it)

Saw this beautiful girl with long black hair and I was looking for something and thought "I should ask her and play it off like "Oh thought you worked for Walmart"

Well I did and she and I had a good laugh. Saw her later in line asked her what brought her out and had some more laughs and as she left she said bye "loverofalifetime's" real name. (I could have gone a lot further with her now that I think of it but I just wasn't there yet)

So long story short... F**# the Quarantine, this Subreddit IS the best one and gets your ass laid and tells you how to be the man you REALLY are!
