Remember folks, if we like seeing The Red Pill here, we need to make sure that you don't participate in off-sub threads that we link to.

Specifically: No Voting on linked threads. No commenting on threads in subs you're not already a subscriber to. If you like a new sub, you can subscribe, we ask that you do not comment in the immediate thread.

If you're new, please review the posting rules: http://www.reddit.com/r/TheRedPill/comments/1a59tv/mod_posting_rules_update_2013/

Meanwhile SRS is free to do whatever the fuck they want.

[–][deleted] 22 points23 points  (6 children) | Copy

Was going to say the same thing. /r/askwomen and /r/TwoXChromosomes can blanket ban people in this sub who don't even post there, yet we have strict no participation rules.

This isn't even people on this sub taking the high road, it's just straight up censorship.

[–]Modredpillschool[S] 32 points33 points  (5 children) | Copy

It's a lot better than censorship. I've been talking with mods of other subs, and the general consensus is they don't even want us linking to their subs.

I flatly refused to adopt that policy.

It's funny because it's still quite common to hear the idiotic notion being repeated, that reddit is somehow a stronghold of free speech. It's ridiculous, really. No such thing exists here.

[–]TRP VanguardYouDislikeMyOpinion6 points7 points  (0 children) | Copy

Idiots perpetuate that nonsense and other idiots gobble it up.

[–]No_disintegrations7 points8 points  (0 children) | Copy

That's incredibly naive if they think that that policy would ACTUALLY prevent folks from sharing their content.

[–]LucasTrask1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

I've been talking with mods of other subs...

That always ends well.

[–]TRP Vanguardnicethingyoucanthave10 points11 points  (1 child) | Copy

The admins are on the side of SRS. Fuck it. As a result of their shortsightedness, eventually, reddit will go the way of digg. I'll move on to whatever the next website is. Who cares?

[–]LucasTrask1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

reddit will go the way of digg

SRS is Reddit's mirror-version of the Digg Patriots.

People think the Digg redesign killed it, but the great migration started two weeks before that, when Kevin wouldn't do a damn thing about the Digg Patriots and their vote brigades.

Please understand that Reddit does not have a system for its moderators to enforce these policies. It just isn't part of the mod toolbox. This is a request we are making of everyone here because it is clearly listed on the Reddit rules

http://www.reddit.com/rules/

that they strictly forbid asking for votes or manipulating them. Now, we are well aware there are certain subs that seem to be above the law and that's fine, but I promise you we are not one of them. Do not kneejerk downvote. Do not troll, derail, or otherwise disrupt any sub. If you wouldn't want to see it happen in TRP then we expect you not to do it in other subs. Man up.

[–][deleted] 16 points17 points  (0 children) | Copy

Man up.

Hahahahahha.

[–]sfstexan1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

I respect this.

[–]Meglomaniac5 points6 points  (2 children) | Copy

So its against the rules for me to, not linked through TRP, go and discuss redpill knowledge in other subs?

[–]TRP VanguardYouDislikeMyOpinion2 points3 points  (1 child) | Copy

What you said is absolutely allowed.

[–]Meglomaniac2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

But how will they know if I randomly stumble upon a thread that was linked? Im subscribed to askwomen, how will they know? Am I just going to get mass banned like one of the threads the other day?

Seems like reddit wants to keep us down.

[–]TRP VanguardYouDislikeMyOpinion2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

No participation mode and the reddit rules are in place to stop people from commenting on communities that they aren't a part of.

I don't know about you, but TRP isn't the only subreddit that I subscribe to (am a part of).

[–]Ausfall6 points7 points  (6 children) | Copy

Using "np.reddit[...]" on your links helps alleviate the temptation to do those things too even though certain other people don't use it.

[–]Modredpillschool[S] 14 points15 points  (5 children) | Copy

Per our posting rules:

  • If linking to a thread on an external subreddit, please use the domain np.reddit.com to encourage no participation. This is mandatory.

[–]Ausfall6 points7 points  (0 children) | Copy

Always worth repeating.

[–]gnimsh1 point2 points  (3 children) | Copy

Just to be clear, np doesn't disable comments does it?

[–]TRP Vanguard: "Dark Triad Expert"IllimitableMan2 points3 points  (2 children) | Copy

sometimes NP links let you vote too.

[–]HalfysReddit0 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

But I'm under the impression those votes are a placebo and don't actually affect karma.

[–]TRP Vanguard: "Dark Triad Expert"IllimitableMan1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Ah I see, I wasn't aware. If that's true, it's clever.
