First car I bought was not what I wanted. I bought what my Dad insisted I buy (he helped me pay for it and I was young/still living with them).

Second car I bought was not what I wanted. I bought what my wife insisted I buy (she helped me pay for it and I was young/still living with her and planning on starting a family).

Third car I bought was not what I wanted. I bought what my wife insisted I buy (we had a family and I needed to "focus on that instead of pretending I'm still a teenager").

Well, gents- I just bought my fourth car and I might as well paint the acronym "MGTOW" right across the hood because for the first time ever I bought what ~I~ wanted to buy and MAN it feels good (not as good as it would have felt back in the day since I drove for fun back then and now I'm 35 but still.....).

The car's not even anything special- it's a used Hyundai Tiburon (2003 GT V6 though, with leather interior and a custom sound system) but it's a sporty 2 door coupe and it's MINE. Super low mileage too, considering its age.

My daughter saw it for the first time Friday and she said she now has the coolest Dad in school (apparently I was the second coolest because I'm "funny" and "nice" but my car was "boring"). I know one of the Dads has a Dodge Challenger in his garage (an actual badass car) but she doesn't know that and who am I to shatter a little girl's fantasy? ;)

Every decision I have to make from now on (that does not affect my daughter of course) will be made solely by me and for me. The rest of my life is gonna kick ass. To MGTOW!
