Most MGTOW are that way because they GOT women, and learned from their mistake.

Until you experience the REALITY of what women are actually like, all you have is an IMAGINARY description left by the gynocentric media, possibly coupled with the unconditional love mothers only give to their children.

So when you find out that women are just not that great, GYOW is no big deal.
If you are incel (emphasis there on the INVOLUNTARY part), you are most likely imagining life would just be great if you could land one of these marvelous creatures.

When I was single in my 30's I went over to visit my mother and she said she had a "friend" she wanted to introduce me to...I wasn't really keen on the idea but she kept badgering me so I gave in.

Anyway so I was trying to fix her computer one day when said lady appeared. She was overweight, unattractive, had short hair and glasses. At the time I was an avid gym goer (five days a week, aerobics and weights) so already this was a fail but I was determined to be polite. So she came over to talk to me..then proceeded to get drunk...I discovered she was a single mother with two kids...every time she opened her mouth she made herself more and more unattractive..she got even drunker and spilled wine on me and the table and almost the computer and then started crying...anyway in the end she left, I was polite and friendly all the way but definitely not interested. Afterwards I told my mother never to introduce me to one of her "friends" again.

"Is this what you think of me? Is this what you think I deserve? I have a good job, a car, I am in shape, six foot tall, I go to gym...I may not be the handsomest guy in the world but I deserve better than this."

My mother just stood there with an obstinate frown on her face.

But she did listen and never introduced me to one of her friends again..thank god.

Exactly, people tend to attribute a false equivalency to MGTOW and incel when the two are completely different. The Red Pill is more of a concept, but also the name for the community.

The way I usually explain it to people is: MGTOW is made up of men that have had enough experience with women that they realize it doesn't lead anywhere good. Oftentimes, the red pill on women is just the first of many red pills a MGTOW will digest. Once you realize you've been deceived, manipulated and lied to about women, what's to stop you from realizing the other things you've been deceived into believing? The juice isn't worth the squeeze.

Incels are men who have had no real experience with women, so they either begin to outright hate women and 'Chad' or they get indoctrinated into the 'women are wonderful' effect and end up thinking that having a girlfriend will solve all of the problems in their lives. They're not typically violent or nasty people, which is what the media would have you believe. Mostly they're just desperate, perhaps mentally ill, socially awkward, depressed and tend to have anger toward a world that they feel has rejected them. Incels can be red-pilled, but most often they are blue-pilled because if they were red-pilled they would go MGTOW after realizing women aren't that great and they'd be better off doing their own thing. Unfortunately, most of them are stuck in the blue pill programming and can only focus and antagonize themselves over their apparent failures and rejections.

The Red Pill as a concept is basically a phrase for whenever you understand and internalize a difficult truth. Usually these truths would be easier to live without knowing, but once you know the truth, you can't reject or ignore it. It's also of course the name for the community, but I'd put red pillers and PUAs right on the same category. They're red pilled enough to know the truth about female nature but they instead choose to exploit that to get pussy. That's the main difference between red pillers and MGTOWs. Red pillers still want to get pussy and endeavor to get it. MGTOWs don't give a fuck about it, although non-monk MGTOWs will often take it if they can get it without great cost to themselves. Unfortunately that's becoming rarer and rarer thanks to STDs, baby-trapping and false accusations.

But people on the other side willingly misunderstand these terms and groups on purpose. They don't care. They'll characterize all independent and free-thinking men in the manosphere as incels, because that's the best way for them to discount and de-legitimize our arguments. Most of it is projection. To women and blue-pillers, being alone or lonely is the worst thing, and being single or abstaining from sex is right up there too. So they project their own insecurities and desires onto us, thinking there's something wrong with us because we don't assign the same importance to these things as they do. They resent that because they can't obtain it. They see a happy, well-adjusted man going through life not giving a fuck, having fun, being free and they resent you because they can never have what you have.

If I could still have all the time I have now to do all the things I want to do without a woman, but somehow had an extra 8 hours each day, like a 32 hour day, to spend with a girlfriend or wife, I wouldn't want it.

Years before I discovered MGTOW, I reached the conclusion that I am "looking for a woman that is WORTHY".

For the most part, I really don't care about women or people in general. But for those few that I have in my life, they all share a common theme. They are all worthy of being my friend, and have proven their worth over time.

If anybody asks why I'm single, I just state that I am looking for a worthy mate. That normally shuts them up because they don't know how to process that. If they press further, then I can go down the marriage statistics road or the shitty state of women today.
