But why would any man willingly participate in a society that is actively trying to destroy him? Sure, it might be better for society as a whole and for certain individuals, but for the others, it's simply a bad decision. In some cases, it's actually self destructive.
Why get a good paying job if you don't need the money to live well? Why have children if you won't be able to raise them as you see fit? Why marry a women who will leave you as soon as you are no longer convenient? Why protect people who will not protect you in return?
If you look at history, the men that gave their lives willingly for the good of god and country, the protection of the freedoms we cherish, and for their family were regarded as heroes who stood up and drew a line in the sand to fight for what was important to them. They had a sense of protecting something worth dying for, and that it was greater then they were.
Now, when men are vilified and demonized for simply being, when they are more and more being driven out of their roles as husbands, fathers, sons, protectors, leaders, etc. and being subjected to emasculation by a society that teaches them to be ashamed for being who they are supposed to be, is it any wonder that these same men are standing up and washing their hands of the whole thing?

Why get a good paying job if you don't need the money to live well?
There is much joy to be found in finding your calling and excelling at it. In being a productive, creative member of society. That matters more and will make you happier than the money.
Why have children if you won't be able to raise them as you see fit?
What exactly is hindering me from raising my children as I see fit? I don't see anything.
I guess the assumption is the wife will divorce you out of the blue and gain full custody of the children or something...
Why marry a women who will leave you as soon as you are no longer convenient?
First of all, you should never marry a woman who will leave you if it is "convenient." Especially if you have children. Only marry a woman who will put the needs of her child before her own. Second, you should avoid making it convenient in the first place.
Why protect people who will not protect you in return?
That is the entire basis for the family unit and for civilization itself. It is not the role of the child or the wife to be the protector.
In all of these questions, I see a mentality where you are simply an object being victimized by the external world. I don't see you taking the proper attitude, that you are a man and you largely determine your own destiny and shape your own life. I don't live my life in fear of an anti-male conspiracy. This is the opposite of abundance mentality.

Except I am self aware enough to realize that I can have an excellent life on my terms, beholden to no one, and accountable to myself. It's not being victimized if you choose to avoid putting yourself in the position of being a victim. Not signing a lopsided contract is a smart decision for any man.
It sounds to me more like you are trying to shame men into doing all these things for society/ women/ etc.... very much along the same lines as feminists do. "You're not a real man unless you get married, have kids, and defend your country!".
We've been down that road, and those of us with some common sense are chosing to take the road less traveled.

"Enjoy the Decline," in my opinion, is more about:

It should be, enjoy your life. Its what Socrates said when strife was around. Live a good life and do what you do. Most factors are out of your control anyways.

Adding onto the "you will be forgotten"
Just ponder for a moment - Who has died in the last century that anyone can really remember?
JFK and Michael Jackson come to mind.

Who has died in the last century that anyone can really remember? JFK and Michael Jackson come to mind.
Are those really the only two people from the last century who are remembered after their death?

I can think of Osama Bin Laden... Hitler... etc. But I was more insinuating being remembered in a Celebratory aspect. Even if you count the bad ones out of billions of people I think it's very miniscule. Imagine how miniscule it is to be an average person.
Robin Williams was a famous person who died recently. Killed himself. How sad - let's replay his movies for a weekend and then forget he committed suicide. The generation younger than has probably never heard of Ms. Doubtfire.

Why do you feel that "being remembered" is the only metric which renders a life worthwhile?

Do what thou wilt. Just don't proclaim your way to be the one true superior dogma just because you want to be a martyr.
And quoting Hitler is a bold choice. One that conveys more than you might think.

I have to admit, the "Nazis are followers" sticky did tempt me to use that quote.
Not because I am a "closet fascist," but because I believe the meaning of "Red Pill" is to overcome our conditioned prejudices in the pursuit of Truth.

The less said about that thread the better.

I don't enjoy the decline as much as I would enjoy a good society. I enjoy it more than I did the blue pill mind set that left me dazed and confused.

"Man up and marry those sluts!"
Nah.
[–]MortalSisyphus -3 points-3 points-3 points 8 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
I wouldn't advise any man to marry a slut.
The error in your thinking is the belief that every woman on earth is now a slut.
An attitude that only reveals your basic insecurity.
[–]HAMMURABl3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
The error in your thinking is why should someone take a bet where you can only lose?
Sacrifice myself to save a civilization? A civilization that incentivizes destructive behaviour needs to die and be replaced by one that does not.

Nazis are Followers
Just had to remind you since you quoted Adolf Hitler... yikes.
But you do have a good point that "Enjoy the Decline" is defeatist at it's core.
My saying is:
"Enjoy the Destruction"
...and that's directed at the Blue Pill much like the Misandry Bubble concept.
The true victory in the Red Pill is not against anyone else, but to build a solid Frame and become Game aware both in deflecting and in attacking.
The Blue Pill is a mythology that needs to be destroyed and you do that by "Killing the Beta".
And again... unlike Hitler we don't mean to literally kill the beta, but to kill off the mythology of the Blue Pill.
Red Pill is a self improvement process resulting in masculine polarity.
I actually get a mild pleasure every time I wake someone up in some way even if it's a small victory.

There is always a decline before things change. The only reason to fear a decline is to fear change. From what I've experienced a lot of men want change, thus embrace the decline. We want our goddamn equal rights, the right to our body and everything it produces, and the right to the product of our labor.
