To be fair CBC did publish an editorial affirming the importance of due process. They even alluded to the polital horseshoe theory by pointing out while the extreme right is a threat to liberty because they want to throw out due process for terrorists, the extreme left does the exact same for male sex offenders.

Here's what I don't understand about defenders of witnesses like these.

Their argument is that women are so traumatized by sexual crimes, they will forget facts, lie, act incongruently to what you'd expect.

What a fucking stupid argument. Why?

Because if true, you can never believe ANYTHING a sexual assault victim says, and you can never look at her subsequent behavior as indicative of any prior incident. Therefore, ALL sexual assault victims are completely useless as witnesses.

Why does no one challenge this insane argument? I really wonder. SJWs are basically saying no sexual assault victims can be believed about anything ever and no one says anything?

Oh yes, I know. They say we need merely believe everything they say. No woman would ever lie about sexual assault (what about a man?). What happens when it turns out they were clearly lying about something? Well, the trauma clouded their memory. Ok, why should we believe anything they say? How can we know what the trauma has clouded and what it hasn't clouded?

The endpoint of this argument is that all rape and sexual assault is legal as long as there's no physical evidence. Even secondary witness testimony is suspect if you argue they were traumatized by what they saw.

I seriously wonder how people in the media allow this absolutely ridiculous argument to go unchallenged.

People believe so strongly that Women are Wonderful^TM that it is simply impossible for them to accept any other verdict but guilty just because women said he was. It does not compute. Fact will not get in the way. It's as if gravity had reversed itself all of a sudden and they had to suddenly grab a tree to not float away. That's how shocking it is for them. It doesn't matter who you defend, if you do criminal defense people never understand and always judge you for it based on whatever moral stance they want to take. The interesting thing to note about "The Sisterhood" and how eagerly they turn upon one another especially when one falls out of line is, that it doesn't truly exist. The Sisterhood and sticking together is not by any means altruistic or something they need to make their way through life. It's for the most part self protection.

By defending the negative behaviour of a woman, any woman they are also defending their own negative behaviour past and future and defending it. They're not doing this for other women, they're all doing it for themselves.

Just watch and see how they react without men around, in a female dominated workplace, when their interests clash and they can get ahead by throwing one another under the bus. The entire premise they set up here collapses in an instant when it becomes beneficial to them.
