Today's Headline: "Former Playmate Pamela Anderson Brands Porn A 'Public Hazard'"

Sky News 1 and Telegraph 2

This is the day that Irony and Hypocrisy both shot themselves. They simply couldn't handle a headline this ridiculous.

Pamela Anderson, who you may or may not know from such Oscar-worthy performances as Baywatch, Barb Wire, VIP, and various Sex tapes with the likes of Brett Michaels and Tommy Lee (the rocker, not the legendary Men In Black star), has now decided Porn is the devil and shouldn't be watched by anybody, ever.

Let that sink in for a minute. Pamela Anderson: the woman famous in the 90s for her ridiculous breast implants, for running around half naked on a beach all day, for pouting around in skin-tight leather with a gun and a ton of tattoos, and for starring in her own "leaked" sex-tapes before leaked sex-tapes became a thing.

The former Playmate with more cover appearances than anyone else (15 Front page pics). One of Hugh Hefner's favourites. The woman who made her entire fortune from her mountainous breasts, has now decided that Porn is a Public Health Hazard, which has:

"... a corrosive effect on a man's soul and on his ability to function as husband, and, by extension, as father. This is a public hazard of unprecedented seriousness given how freely available, anonymously accessible and easily disseminated pornography is nowadays."

"... understand that porn is for losers - a boring, wasteful and dead-end outlet for people too lazy to reap the ample rewards of healthy sexuality".

Porn is for losers. You heard that right. The woman who spent over two decades making millions from "losers" who are "too lazy to reap the ample rewards of a healthy sexuality" now has the audacity to turn around and berate the very audience of men and boys, old and young alike, who made her what she is today.

But wait, there's more! One article states: "Porn consumption rates are between 50% and 99% among men and 30% to 86% among women, they say, with the former group often reporting less satisfactory intimate lives with their wives or girlfriends as a result of the consumption."

So hold on here, up to 99% of men are proven to watch porn, as are 86% of women, but somehow it's the MEN who are the problem here?? So you're telling me that 50 Shades of Gray was NOT responsible for a gigantic percentage of "newly awoken kinky women" who either dumped or cheated on their boring partners once their little imaginations got racing at the thought of being whipped and pounded by Peter Pussysmasher? I personally know 3 women who dumped their partners within a week of the book coming out. But I've NEVER met a man who dumped his girlfriend on the eve of a new Jenna Jameson film.

But hey guys, Pam said we're all pervs, I think we can all agree that we don't need to watch porn anymore. Fun's over, you can turn your PC off now, we're done here, Pam said it's over and what she says goes. Heil Pamler.

Men rely on sexual release, it's what we need, we're built for it as often as we possibly can. But until we have women opening their legs for us as we walk past every street corner as disposable cum dumpsters, the ones who can't get girlfriends (or are between relationships, or even ones who are in relationships and still masturbate) are all seen as disgusting pervs. 86% of women flicking the bean to porn is positive feminine sexuality, but any guys who do it are all perverts and destroying the fabric of society.

In short, men's urges are disgusting and should be shamed. That's what this all boils down to: Shaming men for having natural urges they have no control over. But if I shamed my fat girlfriend into eating less, suddenly I'm a monster. I could break this down into RP views that because she's found the Wall she no longer has to worry about selling her skanky pictures and can say whatever she wants. There's so much else I could say, but why bother? You guys probably aren't shocked by this. Let me know what you think. I'd love some RP opinions on this.

Edit: Wow, great response guys, you've all made some really well thought out points. Just to be clear, I'm not debating whether or not Porn is a good thing in society, I think that's for each person to decide. I've not watched porn in years and years because I've just never felt the need for it. 10 years married and we still take care of each other whenever the mood strikes us, so I'm grateful I'm not stuck in a sexless marriage with porn as my only source of comfort. I can only imagine how frustrating that must be.

I do think that spending time with porn is time that could be better spent putting your urges to good use, like lifting, pursuing women, etc. but not everyone has that luxury I guess. Still, the point I was trying to make is how hypocritical women can be when they hit the Wall, now that nobody wants to see her topless she suddenly decides that nobody should ever go topless again? 'I can't look good naked on film so nobody can look good naked on film'? Just let people do what they want to do. It's not up to her to tell others how they should spend their time.
