So, outta nowhere, I see this picture on the net and feel a surge of nostalgia take over my body as the memories of my favourite childhood movie come back to me. Of course, I find my old VHS and start watching the movie.

Great fucking movie, but I can't help but realize that a bunch of hidden messages are all just lurking in it. As a kid, I never realized it, but no that my eyes are finally OPEN, I realize how they subtly forward ideas of gynocentrism, of misandry, but my favourite: Alpha dominance.

Putting aside how males are ridiculed in there constantly and how females are always "more intelligent and strong", I noticed how Mufasa (the king) basically had a harem females his entire life. This picture might refresh your memory.

It's so subtle too how you realize that the only other male lion of the movie is deemed "beta" and has to live his life in this ghetto, gloomy area surrounded by hyenas.

ONE fucking male gets all the females. These females enjoy the easy life; prosperity, food, protection, while every other male either doesn't exist or is banished to live in shithole ghettos. I just couldn't help but make comparisons with our past and present society.

The world is shit and isn't tipped in our (males) favour. We just gotta accept it and strive to become kings ourselves. This is the lesson I got out of this great film.
