Its fear of boredom, not loneliness that drives people to develop oneitis and to get trapped in bad relationships (including friendships).
Don't be afraid to be bored. It was times of anxiety and boredom that forced me to learn new hobbies, to meet new people, to do different and exciting things.
This is the basis of abundance mentality. Don't be afraid to do new things by and for yourself. Your life will end up a lot more richer than if you just try to stay in the same place.
You are a free man, if people (girls and friends) want you around they will do everything to keep you around. Otherwise, you should be happy with the outcome and expect nothing from anyone.
If you are bored and lonely, move forward, never go back. Your life will be richer and filled with new experiences that way.
