I'd love to think so. My nine year old daughter was part of one of the first real world field tests for the new Kano computer in coding camp this past summer, which I co-coordinated. She loved it, having never written a line of code prior to the camp. Her mother thought the whole idea was boring and nerdy and fought me on it tooth and nail. Now my daughter writes little programs using animation and logic and emails them to me as raw C code to be compiled on my end. I, father.

Interesting stuff! I'd imagine that there are other more important influencing factors here such as sociology economic class (fathers who spent long hours in mines, factories etc would have less time available to be with their children ).

So my IQ is around 125 (for realsies, really) I didn't have a father.. so you're saying, if my deadbeat dad was around, I would be literally einstein?
