Charm is treating women like little girls?

In the Book of Pook, he talks about how charm is treating women like little girls. He says to take a girls hand and lead her places, be physical with her, make fun of her etc. As someone that is very straightforward and logical in my communication I've found the verbal/teasing part of this to be difficult to implement. Even with guys, some of my friends have told me that I seem a bit stiff/serious when I talk. This could be because I have a bit of a monotone voice and am not very expressive when I talk. How can I learn to be more relaxed and humorous? I just read another post on the main TRP sub about a guy that teased women, made fun of them, made them laugh, etc. I think having this playful attitude communicates a power dynamic; If you're willing to be playful and make fun of women you don't put them on a pedestal and value yourself more. For example, if you met Warren Buffet, you wouldn't behave this way with him as you enter his frame rather than him entering yours. How can I learn to tease and be more playful in my communication? Are there any good books on this? I've gone from not being able to initiate conversations/approach to being able to approach and have a normal conversation, but I want to reach the next level of being able to tease and be playful when I speak to women.

A good thing to practice is adding ups and downs to the pitch of your voice. Notice how when you ask a question your voice raises in pitch at the end? Well, think about how you can raise or lower the pitch of your voice at any point in a sentence. Use it to emphasize certain things. Charisma on Command did a great video on how important it can be to vary how breathy and how deep your voice throughout your sentences, as this communicates to the person that you actually care about the conversation. When you just speak in a monotone, people feel like you're bored with them, and they also feel like you're boring.

Final advice: Record yourself on camera and analyze your speech.

I second the standup comedy. That shit is very helpful for learning how to make clever wordplay and coming up with good shit test responses.

Yes, good for one-liners and seeing the IDGAF attitude in action.

Stand up for sure. Also throwing out Seinfeld

Do you recommend any specific stand up comedians?

[–]WyldeCutter13 points14 points  (6 children) | Copy

Dave Chappelle, Bill Burr, Chris Rock & Patrice O'Neal for social commentary.

Norm Macdonald & Andy Kaufman for bizarre and nuanced humor.

Rodney Dangerfield & Mitch Hedberg for one-liners.

Also just watching Johnny Carson and Letterman, they are masters at bouncing off of people. Hang around funny/interesting people and learn to riff with them.

[–]Ill_mumble_that16 points17 points  (5 children) | Copy

Watch Jimmy Fallon to see how to be an ass-kisser that genuinely enjoys kissing ass.

And he's friends with Trevor Noah - another of the worst who completely ruined the Daily Show.

Then there is John Oliver, who also sucks balls.

Oh for sure, but theres gotta be someone better than that busted bitch

Some redpill movie pls

[–]Standgrounding1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Just about any movie or sitcom can be redpill. Take joey from Friends. He's the popular guy who doesn't have any trouble haveing sex and stuff

[–]Standgrounding0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Friends, two and a half men, and the office if you're not into standup comedy

[–]2319Skew0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Don't forget Ron Jeremy.

[–]LethalShade0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

This is great advice. Watch any show/movie actually. Just be mindful of the social interactions, intergender dynamics, and power plays that happen. Even fiction is based on reality or we wouldn't watch it.

Generally, guys in fictional media that are popular with women have characteristics that would also translate to success in real life. Even anime has parallels you can learn from.

This is a good tip in general for getting value out of mindless entertainment.

[–]TreatYouLikeAQuean0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Made my comment before reading yours but yeah I also mentioned stand-up.

To u/durdensworld, Chris D'Elia has some hilarious bits. Check him out. Also check out Sebastian Maniscalco (watch Chipotle bit as a specific example of what I referred to in my other comment). Both these guys are super expressive which is pretty opposite of how I am and sounds like how you are. But there are different types of comedy. The other polar-end of the spectrum would be a guy like Anthony Jeselnik and he's one of the top comedians in the world. Completely monotone expressionless comedy. Doesn't matter if you're funny. People don't remember what you said anyway. They only remember how you made them feel.

Bond knows how to talk serious, have fun with women etc.

The things: that works for Bond, which is a high-class guy. And it's also a movie. So, I think that is not something OP will be able to pull off because I really doubt he has the age or even is in an environment where it makes any sense to behave like this.

[–][deleted]  (1 child) | Copy

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

No, you're misreading and projecting.

Bond faces "shit tests" in all the films, and he has unmovable frame.

It's not that I disagree with these facts but the problem in following fictional characters is that the lesson is abstracted. Right now, OP is confused about his behavior. He is gonna watch some Bond movies for example and try to copy more or less the way he behaves, which will come off as very incongruous with his character.

Scripted scenarios are always bad examples because the characters always say/act right in the right time. It would be better for OP to practice some improv, get comfortable in his own skin and get out of his own head (observe the environment more). I bet he just takes things literally and answers them. For that he can probably find one post on the main sub about how you tell stories.

Also, David DeAngelo is probably a better learning resource for that topic.

[–]LLL3peat28 points29 points  (0 children) | Copy

More or less just be playful and open with your decisions. If you want to go for ice cream to say I want ice cream come with me, and make it about the adventure instead of being stiff. Girls just want to have fun, not date/fuck someone who is as boring as a military Sargent giving orders to cadets.

When you play with your little sister you unconsciously treat her with dominance and cheekiness. Their brain works simple, they want a dominant male that she can't control, she looks up to and can decide on his own. She also expects as a human juggernaut of pain toleration with chin up high

[–]TreatYouLikeAQuean32 points33 points  (4 children) | Copy

Fucking Alonso man amirite. Think that's the post you're referring to.

Two recommendations.

One is from some random PUA on YouTube. I remember hearing a line a long time ago that kind of stuck with me. He was basically talking about when he has a conversation with a girl, he wants to make it where he actually enjoys himself. If you're goal is to tease, humor, and make a girl laugh, you are immediately stepping into their frame and are trying to please. In other words, you become the jester.

Instead, always have the mindset that you want to use this conversation with a girl to entertain yourself. Teasing her in a way that entertains you. Once that happens, your actions/emotions become genuine and girls really pick up on that.

My other recommendation would just be to watch some stand-up comedy. Comics are so amazing at making you laugh at completely mundane things in the world that you never gave a second thought to but actually are very peculiar when thinking about more in depth. Watching them and then picking up on these things yourself, you will notice your ability to laugh and point out silly things improves.

[–]Cerohero10 points11 points  (1 child) | Copy

This is it, the alpha mode switch. Tease her with sole intent of pleasing yourself and making lesser of her

[–]LethalShade1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Yes, put women down because they are inferior and they don't realize it. If only they all knew their place.

[–]roco-j1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Lol that Alonso post was so entertaining

[–]durdensworld[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Yeah it was the Alonso post lol. Appreciate the advice - really changes the way I’ve been viewing my interactions with women. I should be focusing on the value I get from them rather than trying to appear a certain way. I guess if I go in with the mindset of entertaining myself, teasing/flirting comes more naturally and is more genuine.

[–]hoopingblob10 points11 points  (0 children) | Copy

In the book he said to drink of the fountain of youth. To look at children how they behave. That's what helped me. Everytime I drove with the Tram and there were a bunch of kids I would just look at what they do and how they are having fun. I started looking at pictures where I was younger and how fascinated I was from little things.

I am not saying you should behave like a child, I'm saying you should learn from a child how to have fun and look at the world through their eyes. You will soon realize that it's much more fun and much more exciting. Then you can draw in people in that mindset.

  • Watch more comedies
  • Do more things that bring you happiness (Could just be your doing too many serious things and have forgot to just have fun & play)
  • when meeting girls make the environment stimulating, so that energy rubs off onto you.

[–]Noodlesoupe28 points9 points  (0 children) | Copy

Women WANT to be treated like little girls. They want to feel submissive and playful and young and that’s why daddy/little girl fetishes are so popular.

[–]Smuggler-Tuek5 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy

Read β€œhow to win friends and influence people” and watch stand up comedians. That will be the easiest way for you to learn these socials skills.

[–]MakoShark938 points9 points  (0 children) | Copy

Laugh more bro. Don't take yourself so seriously. That's it bro. Chill out and don't feel a need to correct people all the time just to be right.

I don't do drugs but weed is a good short-cut for that. When you do drugs, drugs do you after a while lmao. Even people who quit drugs usually have something about them different when compared to someone who has always done shit the "legal way". There's something in their personalities that's more fun loving.

Now I'm not condoning them because after a while they lead you to a dark place.

Or y'know, you could just do what I first suggested and laugh more. πŸ˜‰

[–]awihsoj3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy

it sounds like you over think alot. Try meditation as a first step if you havent already.

[–]Alcatraz-122 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

I used to be like you, serious as hell and I didn't realize it back then, but that kind of behaviour is actually pretty attractive. Girls become attracted to you when they notice that and that implies that you won't take shit from anyone, making them get in your frame.

Sadly I tried changing myself and it worked but I don't feel that comfortable with it sometimes, sometimes I just wanna be the old me, I don't wanna fuck around with people too much and only talk when necessary.

Still, I think the best behaviour is something in between. Think AMS. Someone with a solid masculine, strong ( maybe silent ) frame. But also funny, charming and relaxed ( as opposed to being tense : tense isn't the kind of serious behaviour that I meant when I said it was attractive ). Notice that I said funny, not goofy.

Fuck charn. Treat yourself and if they fit into the program then fine.

Always put yourself first. You have one life and it does not belong to a her

[–]moroots1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

I've dealt with these issues too. besides the good advice in this thread to watch standup and smile more, move your hands when you talk. my guess is that part of the reason you come across as stiff in conversation is that you're standing there like a scarecrow when you talk.

Remember, the sky is blue, water is wet and bitches ain't shit. And deep down bitches KNOW they ain't shit. So when you gas them up it's counter-intuitive.
