[Mod] Reminder: No participation on links

Reddit View

This is a friendly reminder, please do not vote on links that are linked to other reddit posts.

Furthermore, do not participate in conversation. I have been alerted of trolling and it needs to stop.

Additionally, please do not try to evade these rules with alternate accounts, as the system still sees you doing it.

At this point we will remain allowed to link outside posts, but if it keeps happening I will disable all reddit xposts in favor of screenshots.

I think screenshots might actually be a better way to go. Not only would it solve the trolling problem, but it would also solve the problem of seeing [deleted] on half the threads

Question: Is non-trolling participation to be avoided as well? If a link is posted to another sub and I am actually interested in the subject matter I am not prohibited from participating in good faith just because I happen to frequent this sub right?

Obviously this only applies to non-troll posts and we would still need to follow the rules of the given subreddit.

In theory I'd say a legitimate, mature, well thought-out post is ok. It sounds like the computers behind reddit still count that x-participation all the same though, so beware.

We don't really know what numbers they are looking at, or the motivation behind it. I'd advise caution.

I think he means blatant brigading. If you have legitimate responses do respond. Just don't run around reddit calling posters stupid whores, or saying hurtful things (even if they are true)

Got it, thanks for the clarification.

To be safe, I might check out the other subreddits you subscribe to before looking at trp for the day. At least this way you're posting in threads you're interested before you ever even hit a trp thread, so if it's ever a question timestamps can save your ass. It might not matter, though...

No matter what we do, we'll eventually be kicked off reddit.

It's because reddit is run by mangina's.

Them looking the other way when SRS pulls their shit is blatant proof.

Why don't we have our own website ? With subscribtion or I don't know... Kinda like A gentleman club and with the money we make we pay the website and handle free book to member.

I'm not gonna lie TRP almost saved my life from depression.

The amount of knowledge over here is able to give a second breath to everyman who come across this subreddit.

I'm sure some of us would be happy to write for us and we could hired them to post stuff on our website. The subscritions will only be to have some perks ( we will still have a free forum and everybody will be able to read blog Entry. we talk about a lot of books that we could buy over Amazone and handle it to member ( or gave them coupon) )

I'm just pitching some idea here but TRP could be our little Fight Club. We will not brag about it because feminist will shut down the website like it did with this french website (google "Kamal seduction") accusing them of : Inciting people to rape.

My english is not perfect.

Puerarchy.com was set up for just this.

Nice I'm on my way !

as long all posts are perserved and archived that wouldn't be so bad. A herd always finds a place to rest and feast.

You might be right, but why make it easy for them?

If we live up to their negative image, we only deserve what we get. This 'no participation' rule really is a good thing, and is only fair.

The better we behave, the harder they have to work to neg us. If we handle things right, each of us, then they have no legitimate gripe and any attempt to disband TRP can be legitimately labelled discrimination.

This seems like a preemptive bs reason to delete red pill, idk but the majority hate us, rightly or wrongly. I'm surprised the subs still going they're so biased, for the record I love this sub it's helped many lost souls.

Its pretty telling that SRS can link directly to posts without using NP links, but don't get any flack

[–]Terminal-Psychosis4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy

TheRedPill has so much good to offer. It is sad to see it deamonized, and even sadder to see some members fitting that negative image.

We are here for sharing information / support / ass-kicking tough love, not for harassing others. There is a good reason for the 'no participation' rule. Please, people, post responsibly.

Screenshots would be a viable alternative if things can't be brought under control. Better that than having TRP axed completely.

We're fighting a losing battle when SRS can get sub's banned for supposed brigading when they practically wrote the book on brigading.

I have a question though. I am subbed to some of the sub's that are regularly linked. So does any contribution to those sub's count against us if the thread is linked here? I ask because whilst I contribute fairly and non confrontationally I don't want to be part sending TRP to an early grave.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

If you have documented proof of participation prior to ten months ago and you get banned you can raise hell. Otherwise, ethically there is nothing wrong with it, but like everything else it depends on the whims of those with power.

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points  (4 children) | Copy

Implement the screenshots now, delete comments linking to the threads and issue warnings/bans.

Why? Because I wouldn't put it past TBP/SRS to brigade for us, even make "TRP" accounts, use them to bait, derail and spread fake, unecessary radicalism here, then use those accounts in brigaded threads to leave overly harsh comments.
This sub is under heavy fire recently, SRS knows that it can get it banned with enough effort doing what I described above.

[–]Modredpillschool[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children) | Copy

Nice try, SRS

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

If memory serves, there was an incident around the time of the violentacrez fiasco in which an SRSter bragged about getting subs she didn't like banned by posting child porn using her alts, then reporting it to the admins with her real account.

[–]xAorta1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Agreed. If the cross linking is disabled outright then the subreddit cannot be accused of encouraging it and the screenshots would really serve the same function as far as we are concerned. Would also prevent the relevant comments or posts being deleted as well.

Such deviousness...you're not a woman are you?

Seriously, this occurred to me also as I was reading down this thread.

No NP links. Blatant brigading. Zero admin intervention.

[–]Invincibull 3 points3 points [recovered] | Copy

Is there a way for mods to tell which accounts are alts and ban them? We can't let a few idiots take this subreddit down.

[–]MSoftHarem1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Not reliably, no.

[–]puck_mar1n0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

I'm not a big fan of screenshots because it makes it unnecessarily hard to post good, quality content. If you look at a sub like /r/srssucks they implemented the screenshot thing for smaller subs a few months ago and the quality of their content has gone way down. Of course the decline in content could also be directly related to the decline in quality of their mods...
