Where can I find the golden age posts of TRP?

There’s been a lot of talk lately about the dilution of this sub.

My journey began in 2018, but from what I understand, the Golden Age of RP content came between 2014-2017.

Where I can find this material?

Any links would be much obliged.

theredarchive, sort by year.

The thing is that, everything after the initial phase of TRP, by 80% is repetitive material. The dilution happens because some of the newbs try to use RP for bloop goals, and try to reinvent the wheel or are trying to sell you something, their tactics of course, fail and it's easy to spot.

A reason for the content dilution and repetitive material is that new boys come along, and in their journey to becoming men, feel like it's a good idea to write down what they've learned.

This, in theory, is great- one of the best ways to master a subject in-depth is by teaching it.

Unfortunately, the reality is that the topics were so thoroughly covered back in the golden age of TRP, that newbies have almost nothing novel or helpful to add; and so you start to get watered down content.

The mods should add a rule wherein before posting, one has to go through the search with keyword with their "findings" before making a post. That would greatly reduce this repetition in my opinion

sell you something

A lot of the initial TRP endorsed came from a sales background too. I remember using a lot of techniques mastered here back when I was setting up some of my interests.

Golden stuff.

Godspeed and good luck!

u/redhawkes 's comment is better, I second this. Basics / foundations are most relevant.

Just stick to this. The early years are all you really need up to about 2016. You WILL find great post after, just the dilution was soo much. The early years were that uncut pure straight.

I know we have the sidebar and cant have things get unruly but soo much gems that seemed to get lost, its unfortunate there wasnt a better way to catalog it.

I see you saw my comment.

2018 wasn’t bad either though.

There was once a TRP handbook, I had found it on the internet and came here to see it was removed from here. I thought it was a good collection of posts, not sure why they removed it

Different times, different problems. Seems like people on this thread want to spend more time banging on about this alleged "decline" than actually trying to answer or contributing to people's questions...

Still bants sometimes though

back then, people actually read the sidebar, it also wasn't very long. Now of course there is a ton of stuff.

WOW that subscriber count! It is 100x times the size it was when I joined. So it follows you will have 100x the crap.

[–]hrm08940 points1 point  (1 child) | Copy

That sub count isn't real.

hate to piggyback, I remember a while ago someone posted a very detailed comment replying to an OP about how his gf went to talk to her ex to see if he still wanted her, and the comment mentioned and compared OP to a minivan being "safe" and his gf's ex as a "mustang" as she wanted a wild ride for herself. It was a long time ago, and I can't find it any longer.

I have been here for at least last 5 years but I disagree that golden age of any sort was before. 2018 in particular I remember as chaotic time when there was a clash between gen x that is basically permabachelors bitter on women and rejecting any idea of a good woman because they got traumatized or are just high on dark triad and on the other side millenials who see that hedonistic r selected behavior is a dead end and not satisfying or evolutionarily sensible. If a dog behaved like that he would be called sick but if a human does then its free will and different libertine outlook and other nonsense.

As long as you can hold your own with women, not fall apart, no rely on them too much and not expect wonders but also respect their biology and psychology you and any other man can find a woman to be a keeper (well maybe not everyone but a decent chunk who can compete).

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
