When your demands for 'chivalry' fall on deaf ears

So this happened to me last night. Was out celebrating at the pub with my mate and it was nearing the end of the evening. We'd been drinking so decided to hit the washroom before hitting the road.

There was a gigantic line for the now gender neutral individual bathroom stalls and it was somehow literally ALL men. One by one the stalls begin to open up, and one by one a woman exits (interesting distribution by gender if you ask me). And then suddenly it all makes sense..

My mate and I are nearing the front, when two rather attractive young females appear at the back of the line and one loudly announces 'Gentlemen. There is a woman here who needs to use the washroom so..'

Me (cutting her off): 'So what?'

Her (Incredulously): 'So you should let her use the washroom.'

Me (annoyed now): 'On what basis?'

Her (looking aghast): 'Wow. I guess chivalry IS dead.'

Me (deadpan): 'If by 'chivalry' you mean men letting women take advantage of their good will while offering nothing in return, then yeah. It's fucking dead. Now get to the back of the line.'

Two thirds of the line snickered as she dejectedly did as she was fucking told. A couple dudes looked like they wanted to spit on me, but the rest seemed to think it was hilarious.
