This post is part of a series covering our first summer group-read book, BRONZE AGE MINDSET. We are half-way through the book, and I think now would be a good time to write an an introduction to the central themes of BAP (& an explanation for "why all the weirdness?")

It's sometimes difficult to remember the details of my old life. When women ask me about myself, I'll usually stick to the past eight years and leave the time before to rest in peace- I was an entirely different person and experienced a type of rebirth once I "let the past die" and killed it, I had to. I left a toxic relationship, got in shape, and thankfully found the right corner of the internet with a lot of men who had gone through almost exactly what I had experienced.

What I had become, in that time, was a shell of a human. I was obsessed with consumption and always trying to find the perfect configuration of product and technology to make the dull burning in the back of my head stop.

There were glimpses and flashes of understanding that this lifestyle was inherently wrong- as if the animating spirit of masculinity that all men are gifted evolutionarily was fighting for survival! I remember walking out the theater when we had gone to see "The Green Lantern" disgusted by the Hollywood garbage they were charging $20/ticket for and hardly putting any effort into. However, my solution to this was not to unplug- but to buy a 3D TV, so I wouldn't make the mistake of paying SO MUCH to see a shit movie- now I would only pay with my time. I was not yet fully ready to unplug.

The point I am making here is that this is our starting point- we all share this story to an extent. This was you, before you became the person you are today- the person you are still working on. This was you: you were watching porn, you were spending too much time playing video games, you were excited for Hollywood garbage, you were living a life of consumption.

BAP understands that we all share this story to varying degrees- and this is where BRONZE AGE MINDSET begins.

Not a spoiler, but BAP's overarching purpose is to understand these tendencies within yourself- that the toxic world has fostered upon you- and to serve as a mental reset point. A return to nature- both literally, open spaces & natural beauty, and figuratively- your evolutionarily gifted masculine nature.

BAP accomplishes this in a variety of ways. The direct narrative of Bronze Age Mindset is to convince you of the toxicity of the modern world- that you were groomed to become a consumer addicted to masturbation, that modern science has become corrupt with political signaling, that city living is unnatural and degenerate, that the system is deliberately spoiling female nature and femininity by pushing women to aspire to compete with men. That what we learn of the world through the elites in charge of such things is toxic bullshit meant to enslave.

Remember the person you were before you took responsibility for yourself- BAP makes a good point here!

However, BAP doesn't want to solely appeal to you through logic and argumentation. That would not be enough. People rarely make lasting changes though argument (sorry Moly). BAP wants to change your mindset.

When BAP writes in English that will sometimes seem broken, with deliberate misspellings and unconventional wording, he is appealing to your subconscious. This is different- this is primitive- this is a new way of thinking. The inherent vice of language is that it can too easily be used to obscure truth and mislead.

I do not care for politics- I tell women I meet I am apolitical, and I get a minor headbuzz from this- but no matter your politics, let's look at two modern politics slogans: BL-CK L-VES M-TTER and M-KE AM-RICA GRE-T AG-IN. No one will argue with either on premise alone- but, I ask you, is either as simple as the premise they are presenting- or are they pushing their respective agendas based on the fact that each premise is inarguable?

BAP knows your brain is battered and scarred from all the language manipulation you've experienced. Even if you don't know it, you have become rightfully skeptical of language! BAP wants to use his form, the way he writes, to ready your brain for an entire new way of thinking- a new starting point! A reset to a time of beauty and spender!

Similarly, BAP will unabashedly use exclamation points to create enthusiasm and emphasis! Again- this is to serve as a point of reset, but also to disarm what has become our natural predisposition for irony and sarcasm. We have become too cool, or are afraid of not being viewed as cool enough, to sinply enjoy things. Enjoy enthusiasm. Enjoy excitement! BAP is trying to get you to see the world with a new set of eyes! This is sometimes called being childlike, or the eternal beginner's mindset. Imagine the beauty we take for granted because we take for granted the world around us! Slow down and reset- the world is an incredible place- and it's a great thing to enthusiastically ensconce yourself in it!

BAP will sometimes hit on subjects that you may find ridiculous, or too esoteric, or conspiracy seeming. This is done purposely as well! BAP is trying to get you to see the world with a new set of eyes, as a beginner- an entire reset point. He is speaking to your subconscious, readying your brain for this- with all of the crazy talk BAP is trying to restore the magic and mysticism to the world. We take for granted that we know all of how the world works- we believe we have discovered all there is to discover. This is an unfortunate by product of science as new religion- but if you are here, reading this now, in this secretive corner of the internet, you know this isn't true!

There are many truths to the world that are hidden- BAP is speaking to this idea, and will sometimes push the boundaries in order for you to understand that the actual reality of the world is still ripe for discovery!

I believe this serves as a broad introduction to what BAP is trying to accomplish with BRONZE AGE MINDSET, and why there is a lot of what people consider esoteric or weird in the book- please comment below with any questions!
