Why not a badass lady from the Wild West (Jane Cannery/Calamity Jane) or make a cool female monster hunter character? Because they don’t want female representation, they want to reappropriate characters from actual history or from established fiction/mythology either out of malice or laziness. Female Thor? I’m sorry but there are SO MANY female Norse gods to make movies about..
