Retarded shit like this is why feminism is considered a joke

[–]BruhndonDales69 points70 points  (0 children) | Copy

She just wants to covertly hate men so she can still date lmao 90% of men don't want to hear it

[–]TraumaJeans27 points28 points  (0 children) | Copy

It's not though, it has a lot of impact on our society. I can totally see her suggestion being accepted in certain circles

[–]Ryanreynolds5433 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy

Lmaoo no wonder. I bet even feminists themselves laugh at themselves. They turned the whole movement into a joke.

[–]d_nijmegen53 points54 points  (2 children) | Copy

OK so I'm sexist, just like you

[–]daddy_big_smoke3 points4 points  (1 child) | Copy

I guess it's time we normalized being sexist... XD

[–]d_nijmegen5 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy

It already is

[–]Hannubal36 points37 points  (0 children) | Copy

Feminism believes itself to have monopoly over equality, the same way religion thought itself to have monopoly over morality. Feminism has become dogma.

[–]im_just_dreamy97 points98 points  (20 children) | Copy

Im against MODERN WAVE feminism. Not traditional feminism. I believe in equality, im not a person who believes in equity

[–]defaultgarlicbread37 points38 points  (1 child) | Copy

To be fair, is equality really the answer? I think everybody should have the same opportunities in career and education for example, but when it comes to military service or sports, women are privileged, maybe that is fair and appropriate, but it's not equality. If we would have true equality with the same responsibilities, women would not like it.

[–]im_just_dreamy6 points7 points  (0 children) | Copy

Thats why i believe in equality rather than equity. Equal opprotunitu is the better option, not equal outcome

[–]Dragongeta0332 points33 points  (4 children) | Copy

Equity in some places is fine, for example, special needs kids, that need a special education, that is equity

[–]im_just_dreamy8 points9 points  (3 children) | Copy

Yes ofc, but not in the case of men vs women. If we want equality, equal opprotunity is the way to go

[–]Dragongeta034 points5 points  (2 children) | Copy

Exactly uwu

[–]im_just_dreamy3 points4 points  (1 child) | Copy

[–]Dragongeta032 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

Oh shit, you got me 😂

[–]Forerunner03 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy

Stop believing in equality. Equality is a false God. Inequality is the law of nature.

[–]SsoulBlade3 points4 points  (2 children) | Copy

I'm hate breaking this to you but the women's right movement is not about equality (for all). It is about uplifting one sex only.

It is in the name. WOMEN'S rights movement.

[–]im_just_dreamy1 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy

Ik, but the original movement was trying to give women the same rights as men, i def support that but i also support equality for all. Im just saying that i agree with what the mivement was intended to do at the beginning, not what its doing now

[–]Broadside_Beers0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

It was never about equal rights.

[–]pontiflexrex8 points9 points  (0 children) | Copy

You should not pay taxes or receive the product of taxes then.

[–]Ryanreynolds5430 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

im not a person who believes in equity

Or what feminism wants which is special privileges and entitlement.

[–]juanp23500 points1 point  (6 children) | Copy

No, all feminism has always been a misandric piece of shit, I'm fucking sick of people like you glorifying fIrsT wAvE fEmiNiSm

[–]gerrly5 points6 points  (5 children) | Copy

Hm. Why do you say that about the first movement? There was a time when women “need not apply” and couldn’t vote (obviously you know this). I can sort of see where you’re coming from because some women took it to extremes of hating men, like you mention, but ultimately I think the movement did more good than harm. I wasn’t alive for it, but my mom was (not suffrage but the bra burning BS). She considers herself a “true” feminist, not a misandrist. She and I both feel equality has been reached at this point and the modern day feminists are ridiculous (in the US and comparable nations... obviously middle eastern countries are terrible).

[–]juanp23507 points8 points  (4 children) | Copy

Yes, because voting was such a privilege for men back then, right? Votes weren't in close doors back then and if they didn't vote for the right candidate they got their ass beaten, and if they had the right to vote it's because they worked hard in risky jobs like going to war or working in mines and earn that right, women just stayed in home and didn't run any of those risks

Also, I think I saw somewhere that feminists didn't want women to vote because it's a responsability, not a privilege, the ones that got women to vote were the suffragists (and this was when voting was already safe and you didn't get the shit beaten outta you for voting the wrong candidate, how curious)

Also, you say "women couldn't vote" as if men would've been able to vote during all history, when the truth is, men had the right to vote only about 50 years prior to women, and considering all I've said, it wasn't a fucking privilege at all

[–]gerrly5 points6 points  (2 children) | Copy

Well I will admit that I was not aware of any of that.

[–]juanp23501 point2 points  (1 child) | Copy

Well, now you know, hopefully knowing this will change your views on old feminism

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy

Exactly there’s a lot of things you didn’t know such as that wife beating was never acceptable men would be punished for their wives crimes.

[–]Mytriptorussia20187 points8 points  (0 children) | Copy

Yeah only rich families could vote. Peasants did not vote or were forced to vote for some one.

[–]nixon_talks25 points26 points  (0 children) | Copy

Same shit Aaron Ra said a couple of years ago, "you're either a feminist or a sexist."

Fuck you, you arsehole.

[–]timleykis20 points21 points  (0 children) | Copy

Sexist here then!

[–]DarthCallidous17 points18 points  (0 children) | Copy

What's that boy? Another out of touch celebrity trying to dictate us commoners on morals?

Well imagine my shock!

[–]zeerust200011 points12 points  (0 children) | Copy

Nice try. But you don't get to define words to suit yourself.

[–]zeerust200010 points11 points  (0 children) | Copy

But if you don't use the word 'feminist' you have no way of deciding who isn't a feminist. I don't think you've thought this through.

[–]McBlakey11 points12 points  (0 children) | Copy

If your not with us you're against us mentality.

People can in fact be neutral on issues.

[–]ReddditmodsRtrash11 points12 points  (0 children) | Copy

Stop calling them "feminists" and call them "man haters."

[–]ImHere2OffendYou9 points10 points  (0 children) | Copy

She always seemed like the kind of person that would say some shit like this. Then again, she's filthy rich and has been famous her entire life practically... she had no chance at being a mentally healthy person with a realistic thought process.

[–]quarthomon7 points8 points  (0 children) | Copy

I was interested in Arya Stark's political opinions in Game of Thrones.

This Maisie person? Not so much.

[–]VestigialHead20 points21 points  (4 children) | Copy

Well Feminists like females. Rapists like Rape.

So does that mean Sexists like Sex?

[–]TraumaJeans4 points5 points  (3 children) | Copy

That doesn't add anything to the discussion

[–]VestigialHead12 points13 points  (2 children) | Copy

It was a joke. Was not meant to add anything except maybe a chuckle.

[–]Bigbog543 points4 points  (1 child) | Copy

Or two...

[–]R1pY0u3 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy

Or three...

[–]the_new_longneck5 points6 points  (0 children) | Copy

Using this logic, Does this mean atheists are nazis?

[–]SuperUltra185 points6 points  (2 children) | Copy

I'd rather be sexist than be a nazi

[–]Mytriptorussia20183 points4 points  (1 child) | Copy

You mean misandrist instead of a nazi?

[–]AndrewLewer2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

Same thing

[–]gerrly4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy

Ah, nothing like a 20-something imparting wisdom. Sweet, summer child.

[–]Kermit38352 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

If I have to be sexist to be right than I’m fine with that.

[–]GalileosTele4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy

You already knew that though, right?

[–]Sharkkaan2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

I think that she thinks feminism as the dictionary definition.

[–]eirsyadq1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

she really said that? damn 😅

[–]Xsailrx4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy

That would mean no feminist exist

[–]MeinChutiya693 points4 points  (0 children) | Copy

This what the media especially CNN has been doing since Obama was in office: "You pander to our nonsense or you're a bigot." She just got told by her manager to say this so fourteen year olds could say "you slay queen" and improve her engagement

[–]InformalCriticism2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

This is what you get when you pretend young rich people have some fresh take on the world.

[–]Omar-Elsayed2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

Ironically, feminists aren't usually normal people.

[–]chambertlo4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy

If rather be sexist, thanks.

[–]R1pY0u4 points5 points  (0 children) | Copy

Please tell me Maisie Williams didn't actually say this, she's been one of of favourite actresses so far. Though I know quite little about her political opinions.

Edit: Fuck, she indeed did. Well damn, definitely not one of my favourite actresses any longer 😅

[–]Foxenrien2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

Well then, I’m more sexist than I am virgin

[–]TigerInAformalsuit2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

How trigger will they be if I say

Femenist

[–]BiriyaniMonster2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

No, Karen, superheroes will feel offended.

[–]Boss0fThisGym2 points3 points  (0 children) | Copy

All men are rapists, by the way

[–]adriens1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

"I Feel Like"

ok

"WE"

whoah hold on there little one

[–]Phantom0991 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Rather be sexist than be stupid

[–]ChuckBoris561 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

That makes me a sexist

[–]Repfederate1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

I'm glad we got to see her nude in G.O.T

[–]imemeproductions1 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

In that case I am the CEO of Sexism Inc.

[–]Rozycka1231 point2 points  (0 children) | Copy

Just because you’re an anti feminist doesn’t mean you’re sexist

[–]shamekhjr0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

A world with no in-betweens is called chaos. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to chaos

[–]korruption770 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Feel like it should be the other way around

[–]Kalb1570 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Yes, because celebrities are sooo in touch with reality.

[–]SsoulBlade0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

That implies that all feminists do nothing that can be construed as sexist if we were, I dunno, reverse the sexes for example.

Also, go look at clementine ford's tweets and work.

[–]TragicOptimistic0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

There's something called not caring about feminism. I wouldn't call it sexist, it's just indifference but apparently that doesn't exist to them.

[–]GltyUntlPrvnInncnt0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

I much rather be a sexist than a feminist.

[–]WyreGuts0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

So I'm sexist because I don't support people that say all men are rapists and get to rape men with no consequences? Okay :) guess I'm sexist!

[–]Accidental_Edge0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

She's right. Normal people want equality between the sexes. Anyone who doesn't is a sexist. This includes supposed feminists who want misandry in place of misogyny.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

I call normal people right-wingers. Otherwise just a n-i-g-g-e-r

[–]EpsilonChurchAlpha0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Did she say that?

[–]Jadedpog0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

And who is she?

[–]trash620 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

I feel that we should call feminists sexist. You are either a normal person, or a sexist.

[–]R1NZl3R_YT0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

Soooooooooo, what becomes of literally everyone I know?

[–]iamraskia0 points1 point  (0 children) | Copy

actually agree with her?

this would make it much easier to call out the sexism of feminism without them saying "but i'm a feminist! look at the definition of feminism!"
