I love this. I really do. You know why? Because while dissing feminism, you've brought up points as to why it is important. Males getting raped, domestically abused, the fact that men are 7 times more likely to commit suicide than women all point to one thing - 'not being man enough', people not believing that men can go through this - patriarchy churns out an ideal man/ how a man is supposed to be. See, sexism always has two sides, if it's affecting women it'll definitely be affecting men as well. People don't believe men can be raped because a man is always supposed to want sex because what kind of man denies it? Domestically abused? Well he should've been 'strong enough'! Men are supposed to be strong. You're a man and depressed? How can that be? Aren't men supposed to feel no emotions at all? THAT IS PATRIARCHY. NOT FEMINISM. Patriarchy says a man has to be strong, sexual, emotionless, rational, the saviour, the breadwinner, etc since women are supposed to be the opposite. In fact it's FEMINISM which says it's okay to feel, it's okay to be whatever you want, we acknowledge your abuse, we know you feel too! As for fake rape cases, the percentage varies from 2- 10% and no feminist justifies it as being right. Most rape cases aren't reported, take it from somebody who has been raped as a 4 year old. Please, please educate yourself on the theories and 'actual' feminism rather than demonizing what you think feminism is. Thanks for coming to my ted talk.
